:o

I considered not posting about this due to my age.
But after one is asked what they want for Christmas,
this game was all I could think of (besides $$$).

I've never really been a gamer. All I've had are Nintendo
consoles. So I've pretty much been limited to Madden Football,
various boxing and wrestling games. Oh, lets not forget about
Super Nintendo's Mario.

That leads to Zelda. When I purchased my Super Nintendo many
moons ago, it came with Zelda A Link To The Past. I didn't
even play it for months. Why should I bother with this child's game when
I could be quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. And those super freaky
players I could load up on my team - and no one was the wiser. I couldn't
be beat. Madden players know what I'm talking about.

So out of boredom one day I played that Zelda game and got hooked.
It's funny how you can feel a sense of accomplishment over something
so silly. So A Link To The Past was just the beginning.

I have to admit, I pretty much hate the Wii. I want a normal
controller!!! Sitting down on the couch or bed and just enjoying the
game. Maybe that's my own link to the past.

Even though this will be one of my Christmas presents, I had to track
it down. And I really believe the hunt for the game was what made me
really want it. That and just wanting to rescue the Princess one last
time.

The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword Bundle is Sold Out, or not available
online it seems. But luckily some sweet person held a copy for me. And now
it's mine...all mine (my precious).

Now I just have to wait until Christmas.

Anyone else getting this?

I love playing The Legend of Zelda and The Adventure of Link (NES). I also like Majora's Mask (N64). I don't have a Wii. Like you, I am not too thrilled with the controller! Skyward Sword has a lot of fans, though! I'm glad you were able to get the game!

Thanks Holiday.

Mask is the one I never finished.
I hated the timed deal!

I wouldn't worry about it. I've been playing all the Zelda games since the first NES one... I love video games but never got obsessive about it either. I've had every Nintendo console (mainly because my Dad loved to play them as much as us kids). I was truly let down by the last Zelda game so became a bit jaded with the series. I don't know why, every Zelda game has been epic (except Majoras Mask) so to have one bit of gold among the diamonds wasn't the end of the world. That said, I will eventually pick up this new game. And, I'm rather fond of the Wiimote! ;)

Cool. I just feel silly sometimes playing a video
game in my mid-forties. Come to think of it, I felt
the same about it in my thirties. Plus my eyes just
can't take playing for long periods of time anymore.

One things a constant though, I can always play
guitar without embarrassment. Play Zelda to rescue
the princess, play guitar to marry a princess.

(that last part hasn't happened yet)

Skyrim, for the win.
That is all.

I bought Skyrim last Tuesday and have only played it once. For some reason I can't get into it like I did Oblivion. It makes me incredibly sad because Oblivion remains one of my favorite games ever, perhaps I need to try it on PC.

I've never heard of Skyrim
or Oblivion. I guess I live
under a rock when it comes
to video games.
