Thank you for posting this here.... Weeks ago, I said something about this movement and it got crickets.....
No offense to whatever your beliefs or stand may be... However this is mine....
These protests make me feel proud and rejuvinated in the human spirit....
All over the world- voices are being hear in over 3000 cities.....
no longer being complacent....
And btw... Katehi’s Resignation (chancellor of the college) has been handed in.... The fact that she admits her faulty judgement is brave considering her prior decisions.... The police action was reckless and unconstitutional on a peaceful protest on a college campus is just wrong on so many levels... But since a lot the police dept. revenue comes from escorting people from their homes....
Ok, I'll stop at that....however, I'm guessing those conference calls with HLS are misguided because they don't have a "run sheet" on how to "deal" with the movement.
Morrow IS turning is his grave when listening to corporate mainstream, run-for-profit "news"....

Katehi’s Resignation (chancellor of the college) has been handed in.
According to an article I read today, she has not resigned.

What i find really interesting about this particular movement is how the average person reacts to these transgressions by the police. Whether it's pepper spray or being beaten by batons, people are not reacting enough.
If we, The People, let our elected officials and the people they hire get away with this crap, all we accomplish is telling them loud and clear that the next time they can walk on us harder than before.
The police and the government of every city, every state and yes, even the Feds - they should be afraid of us. It should never be the other way around. They serve at our pleasure, never forget that, and we can take them down and out at our whim. That is our right. We The People govern this nation. The police work for you and me.
Don't let your rights be trampled, because every time we give an inch they will take a mile. This time we get pepper sprayed, tear gassed, jailed or beaten for expressing our ideals via protest - an activity we have every right to participate in. Regardless of your political views regarding the occupy movement, if you turn away and don't speak out against police brutality - the next time it won't be pepper spray or batons - it will be something worse and it might be you on the receiving end.
