A month today until Lindsey is live in London. Sooner than that for all the other UK dates. Exciting times ahead!!! :blob1::woohoo::blob2:

Just thought I'd share my excitement. I was bouncing around the house this morning. No one in my household gets my excitement, but I'm sure you all will!

Let the countdown begin.....

Go to the front of the stage.

That's what Lindsey wants.

23 days to Gateshead for me. The seats there are so close to the stage only the front row gets to stand there - luckily that will include me. :D
Lovely low waist level stage as well. Still keeping fingers crossed I can make it to Leeds.

no reports of inappropriate touching, grabbing, or interferance, considering the close proximity to Lindsey,

amazing,

hopefully the UK tour is as accessible for the true fans "back home",

i agree that lindseyfans are mostly really respectful. that said - did you watch some of those vids from Lindsfan's playlist? she has specifically marked groping parts :D  - but as long as that doesn't interfere with his playing and stage movement everybody involved seems to be still respectful enough and all around happy. nobody tried to pull him in the audience or anything:thumbsup:

I have a ton of exams that run over time in Jan so it will be difficult to get up there on time, I did have a French mock as well that was meant for the 9th same day as the Salford show.

Impossible to know when the dates might be rescheduled ... I'm praying they won't coincide with college stuff as I'm in my final year.

EDIT: And of course, get well soon to the injured party! I think it says a lot about how close they are as a band that they didn't just decide to try and replace him for the dates they're doing to try and go on.

I'm sorry you guys. I was really looking forward to your reports and reviews.

I guess the "good" news is that they are saying it is because of injury and we don't have to be concerned that poor ticket sales will prevent rescheduling.

Hope everyone who planned to go can make the new dates without too much inconvenience.

In most cases they'll let you hang on to your tickets until the show is rescheduled, and at that point you can keep them or request a refund. If it's cancelled altogether, then you get a refund.

Let's hope not, Bee. Shows get postponed all the time and not cancelled ... I'm sure they've already sunk plenty of money into this tour and won't just want to cut their losses. From what I understand, Lindsey has no pressing engagements with the Mac next year, so there's time. Gotta have faith ... :o

so sorry everybody in the UK and Ireland for all the disappointment, ruined plans and money lost on travel and hotels. i can't even begin to tell you how bad i feel for you. i'm sure decision to reschedule such big trip was not lightly made. i really hope Neale gets better soon and that he is able to fully recuperate.

just a question for people claiming LB should've found a replacement for an integral member of his band:
if e.g., Mick Fleetwood got sick in the middle of an FM tour would you be calling for the Mac to still continue touring without him instead of reschedule? after all, there are at least two drummers who know and perform his parts of FM songs with SN's and LB's respective bands.

See it's things like this that make me so mad. Obviously it's not Lindsey's fault that the tour has to be postponed, and I love the fact that he is loyal to his band mates and isn't going to bring in a replacement (as much as last night I kinda wished he was going to.) But people make travel plans, book hotels etc. The word really needs to be put out there and not just announced on his official website. I realise that I'm ranting and the news was only released yesterday, but people need to be made aware.

I understand what you mean. I know it was a sudden thing for the tour to be cancelled, but even still it's put people out a huge amount. People have come from other countries to watch the shows. I'm out because of travel expenses and preparations I'd made for the shows Uni wise. Luckily one of the hotels wasn't paid for yet and the other we were granted a refund. Others haven't been so lucky. I think my heart took most of the damage in my case, really :s

This is the same for me. I'm lucky, I can be at the Palladium within half an hour so I won't be out of pocket at all. My tiny concern is the rescheduled dates - I am praying they don't clash with anything that I am unable to get out of. Nickslive (and i, to much smaller extent) have been contacting venues and Live Nation UK (still selling tix like nothing happened) via FB and twitter to get them to finally transmit the info they've been given. you all can do the same...maybe if they get enough complaints they'll finally do it:nod:. i'm sure info is just sitting on somebody's desk/email inbox, etc.

I told the Gateshead venue last night that I had heard about a postponement. They asked me where I heard it so I told them it was on Lindsey's site and that the Lowry, Salford had posted it too. They just said they had no news and are still selling tickets now.

yeah the info must have not been transmitted from whoever received it to whoever is working sales. Nickslive told one of the venues via their FB page, and they replied they didn't know anything about it and blamed it on the promoter. 30 mins later they deleted their FB massage and just left the one from Nickslive.

but really, Live Nation UK is the place that should've pulled it.

guess people using it at the other end are still people...

i don't know, i'd say complaining here was a good start, now continue putting your bad mood into good use and complain to the venues, live nation, etc (you know - lemons and lemonade kind of thing:p).

after enough complaints maybe somebody will realize they need to let people know. not everybody buying tix reads the ledge or knows there is LB website. instead of venues continuing selling tix, you all should have already received emails from whoever sold you the tix saying shows will be postponed.

Exactly! This is my problem with this whole issue. Lots of people still have absolutely no idea. If I wasn't a member here I'd still be in the dark. I posted the news on tumblr and a few people messaged me about it - they couldn't believe it and were clueless until I posted.

Still nothing on Live Nation.

The Lowry's site is the only one saying it's postponed!

Do we think the lack of info is due to all this happening right on the weekend?

Hopefully, if this is the case, tomorrow will bring more news.

A ton of ticketholders probably don't even know about all this!

I would LOVE if this all turned out to be a hack.

When it was first announced that the Salford date was postponed; it looked for a brief moment like the later dates would go ahead, and they'd work it out so that they could play the venues they had to postpone later in the tour. It just seems so strange to me that only one venue seems to know what is going on. I think you're right though, I reckon we'll hear more tomorrow (you would think so anyway.)

AAAGHHH!! What's going on?? I've been away this weekend and have come back to this. Are the dates postponed or not? I'm going to to Edinburgh on the 12th. His first ever UK tour and this happens. It's very sad that someone has been inuured and I hope they get well soon and can play again.

However, the lack of communication between Lindsey's team and promoters shows no consideration at all for fans who have waited so long to see him. His first solo tour. I'm so upset.

I'm thinking about calling the Salford people and asking them how they knew?

Maybe the venue's are pushing it as far as possible because when Salford was cancelled there was only a week left until the show was set to be on so maybe all the other venues are waiting until the last minute to either:
A) Sell as many tickets as possible.
or
B) Hope that Neale makes a miraculous recovery and the show can go on.
Either way they should have told people by now

Yeah, that's what I mean. Postponements happen and can't be helped, but the way they are then handed - that can be controlled and should be done immediately. I don't mean 2 days later.. since the news broke on Friday the weekend is no excise. Saturday is a working day. Oh well, I'll see what Monday brings but I'll cancel my hotel Tuesday morning if I've heard nothing.

I'm clinging to the hope that the info on his site is wrong (a hack?) since it's not on Ticketmaster, Live Nation or any venue sites. See what tomorrow brings....

it's not a hack.

i assume the problem is that most people at venues who are supposed to transmit the info are not working weekends. although news was out early on Friday only one or two venues bothered to update information.

besides sloppiness of the venues and promoters who all seem to be basically saying most of their services are not working on the weekend so they don't care, what i find completely inexcusable is that Live Nation UK has not updated the info and they keep selling tickets. that would be one-stop shop that can inform people.

so - go McTrouble - that's fabulous idea!! :wavey: :wavey:

Hi Ledgies,

After reading all of your posts on here, FB, etc over the last couple of days, I've decided to post something myself. LB's page wasn't hacked, this isn't a joke and whatever travel arrangements you have made for these shows, I would cancel them now. Neale has been going through some serious trouble with his back on nearly the entire SWS tour, and is scheduled for surgery at the end of the month to take care of this issue. Thank you to all of you who have wished him well, and who have been compassionate and understanding of the circumstances. Lindsey's band members are not replaceable, they are his family and have become so over the decades. It's not as easy as calling someone else, rehearsing for a while and getting that same comfort level as the well-oiled machine that they already have. For those of you who haven't had kind things to say, please be reminded that several band members (from both camps) read this board. Let's all come together and accept the postponement, however disappointed we may be, and extend positive vibes to the guy who needs it. Thanks!

Thank you for keeping us updated. Of course I wish him well and I hope he takes care and is back in good health as soon as possible. Why would it be at all expected to replace him? It's widely known how close Lindsey is to his band and is unreasonable for anyone to expect otherwise.

Please understand that most comments have been directed at the venues/Live Nation etc for not communicating this sad news to fans in a suitably timely fashion - not at Neale/Lindsey or anyone in the band. While I appreciate that you have taken the time to do this, it's sad that you felt the need to do so because we were all panicked due to lack of information. Thanks again.

Yes, I'd like to reiterate this. As I said in a previous post, I love that Lindsey is loyal to his band mates and isn't using a replacement guitarist. Obviously we are all hugely disappointed but Neale's health take precedent. As Dodfather said, our complaints are aimed at Live Nation and co. for continuing to sell tickets, not returning emails etc etc, NOT LB.

Here's wishing for a speedy recovery so that the SWS tour can come to the UK and Ireland.

Oh and thanks for the update Miranda24.

I understand that everyone is frustrated and I have to agree that some venues still selling tickets are pretty ridiculous. Hopefully the venues will get their stuff together and there won't be any more confusion. In the mean time, even though it isn't of much help at the moment, maybe the Live in LA DVD will hold you guys over!

I think The Ledge is pretty much the hub of all Fleetwood Mac related knowledge. We have a direct line to their managers in Brandon and Louis' front rooms. I'd just be careful what hours you try and access this, because last time I did I was chased out of Brandon's house by a naked man wearing a tea cosy and waving a broom at me. He looked suspiciously familiar.

I just went to ticketmaster and bought another ticket LOL. I have a VIP ticket and I obviously couldnt afford one for my wife as well so I had an 8th row seat for her. And Low and Behold when I checked Ticketmaster there was Block A row 2 available. Couldnt believe it. So I snapped it up and I will send My 8th row back for a refund from ticketmaster and tell the new date wont suit.

Win Win.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was a bit odd. I read the comment and was reminded of the old joke about the man heading off to the pub. He asks his wife to put on her coat, and after she expresses her surprise that he would want to take her with him, he replies "I don't. I'm turning the heating off".:lol::lol: I seem to remember Les Dawson having a version of it, though I don't know who told it originally.

yes, sounds bad - and it's actually not at all:

you all questioning madness are looking at this as an issue of chivalry i believe, but forget for a sec who's male who's female and think about it in terms of who's LB fan and who's not. madness is a huge LB fan and wanted to meet LB so bought extravagantly expensive m&g ticket that comes with 1st row seat. wife is not a huge fan and didn't care to spend huge amt of money on meeting him but still wanted to see the show (or madness wanted her to!).

i've done similar, but on the smaller scale - since Lindsey was not offering meet&greets in MD or anywhere in the US, really. i bought my husband and son tix in the 6th row middle, while 3rd row on the side for me. they are not LB fans and they wanted good seats to enjoy the show. they were not planning to go upfront. the seats they had were perfect for seeing and hearing the show, they found LB highly impressive and were loving the show. i had a seat that didn't have such perfect view but i could walk closer to the stage and dance.

Doesn't sound bad at all. Why spend the premium money on someone who ie less interested. It's not like 8th row is a bad seat anyway. Just be sure to look back every now and then and make sure she (and the baby-to-be) aren't being accosted by a bunch of drunken slobs singing Come to her:laugh:.

Seriously though, I bet there are acts that she likes that you don't enjoy as much where you would gladly want her to have the front row, while you sat elsewhere.

God effing Damnit. This is why I hate ticketmaster. I friggin' knew that they were holding back on the front row tickets, but at the same time you can never tell for sure. I can remember yer man on the phone to me about the Dublin show a few months ago when I was expressing my disappointment at the news that the M+G for that venue was sold out. He then tried to persuade me to buy 10th row tickets or something like that, and said that that was the best he could do for me, and urged me to buy them because if I was disappointed to have missed out on the M+G then he'd hate to see me ending up with back row tickets later on, or no tickets at all. What a load of ****. (I managed to get Belfast tickets though, I look forward to playing Madness' lefty Model1) :wavey:

I'm not crazy about TM right now because
first they never informed me that my tickets were on their way,
second they never sent me the UPS tracking number (even though i paid through my nose for a secure delivery)
third my tickets were lost (ok, UPS's fault but still) and
fourth no info on the postponed show.
I'm just hoping the promised duplicate tickets can be picked up at the Palladium on the 19th anyway. With the trip already booked and paid, we're going to London anyway and i would feel better when i have those tickets in my pocket.

Surely he could have either done the tour without Neale or bring in a replacement. Lindsey is after all - the guitarist!

I think its rubbish, and not being able to re-schedule is probably down to him planning yet another money-spinning Fleetwood Mac tour at over £100 a ticket playing the same old stuff for the 1000th time.

If this is true then I am disgusted. :distress:

I find it impossible to believe that for a mere handful of shows (hardly an enormous tour) neither Lindsey nor any of the venues could find any available dates to reschedule for a whole year? Even if he will be busy with Fleetwood Mac and other projects the dates could have been fitted in. These venues do not book up an entire year in advance. Even if they did, plenty other artists have moved to other venues in order to honour cancelled dates.

Since it was Lindsey's camp that had to cancel in the first place, which of course was unavoidable and I wish Neale a speedy recovery, their diaries should then be readjusted to accommodate the changes that they caused. It would show some respect for the fans that bought tickets and had waited years to see them - a wait of which they must be fully aware.

If the whole tour has been cancelled it sounds like they couldn't be bothered rescheduling things. I bet if it was shows at MSG or somewhere larger then things would be a little different...

Of course I'm still hoping that this is not true.

I think the people who have had the luxury of seeing Lindsey perform live have the understanding to know how their on stage dynamic works. Those of us humble fans whose first and possibly only chance of seeing him has been snatched away just don't have that luxury. We bought tickets purely because we wanted to see Lindsey perform.

You hit the nail on the head there. As a student, I had to put alot of my finances into this meet and greet, been 400 quid out of pocket for the last few months. I wouldn't mind having spent it on it, I was willing to part with it for the chance to meet Lindsey. There's no way that this is true. Something is very off here. I sincerely wish Neale well and if he is out for an entire year and Lindsey won't play without him (which is of course his choice) then fine, I expect no solo gigs in 2012. The guy on the phone tried to process my refund right then but he said that an account manager has to open the settings (or whatever!) for refunds but that he has e-mailed a manager to do this. He will then call/e-mail me in about 48 hours and let me know the refund has been processed.

I'm going to wait until Wednesday next week and then call back. I think it's better to call them than wait for them to do it of their own accord. They can drag their feet for ages and I'm sure we all want out money back asap at this time of year.
