The Holiday 2011 issue of Guitar World is available now at the Guitar World Online Store.

http://www.guitarworld.com/beatles-special-holiday-2011-issue-guitar-world-available-now-online-store

The new issue is a Beatles special that offers an in-depth look at the making of every Beatles album, with insights and commentary from Beatles producer George Martin, engineer Geoff Emerick and many others. From Please Please Me to Abbey Road (Remember, it was recorded after Let It Be), you’ll get the stories behind the greatest songs from the albums and the techniques used by the Fab Four. That’s more than 40 pages of detailed history for 13 albums.

Features in this issue include:

• Dear Guitar Hero: Featuring Fleetwood Mac lead guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.

• Judas Priest: K.K. Downing’s sudden departure nearly destroyed Judas Priest. Glenn Tipton and Priest’s new guitarist, Richie Faulkner, tell how the group climbed back from the abyss.

• Soundcheck: Fender Super-Sonic 100 head, Epiphone ’61 Reissue Casino 50th Anniversary hollowbody electric guitar, Gretsch G6136STL Silver Flacon, Vox Night Train, and much more!

• Tabs include "I Will" and "Something" by The Beatles, "Custard Pie" by Led Zeppelin, "Shake Me Down" by Cage The Elephant and "I'm Made of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?" by A Day To Remember.

Stopped by Barnes & Noble and the magazine has the Q&A with LB. There appears to be a new photo of LB (not a Jeremy Cowart photo). Some interesting technical Q&A regarding the acoustic guitars on SWS, how the Rick Turner Model 1 came about, will BN be released on CD, what is your favorite Album (Tusk), what is your favorite song to perform (ISA, followed by Big Love and NGBA), does being asked the same questions about Rumours and relationship with Stevie get old (yes, but that comes with the Big Machine, which if there wasn't a big machine, there wouldn't be a small machine), what is your favorite pre-LB/SN songs (Oh Well and Rattlesnake Shake). That's all I can remember. Did not buy the magazine as I figured someone would post the full Q&A in the future. Not much new, but at least they were real questions from fans (they did list the full names of the people that had questions selected).

S what is your favorite pre-LB/SN songs (Oh Well and Rattlesnake Shake).

Those are probably the only ones he knows. Well, he knows a couple of Christine's, but she burned her bridges.

 you don't think that he remembers anymore about half of the FM set that he performed live when he first joined? :p

I think he remembers Spare Me a Little, Why and Hypnotized, just because I honestly think he does have some idea about Chris' pre-1975 catalog and then he worked with Bob. I'd be surprised if Station Man has ever crossed his mind again.

good memory - i just received hard copy of the magazine (like the new photo!) and you covered pretty much everything!

what i liked is that we actually know some of the fans whose questions were selected - Jackie (which songs he likes to play?) and Alex (BN reissue?). of course, many of the same questions were answered at 92Y too. brief overview of questions/responses:

besides ISA, NGBA, and BL, he says it's also always fun to perform Tusk.
he likes Tusk the best of his albums with the usual explanation of the line in the sand.
advice for someone starting today in music? "good luck!", boardroom mentality of big labels, balanced by internet being more democratic.
how did he develop fingerpicking style? he doesn't read notes, FM tried to make him use pick he said "screw you."
whether BN will ever come out on CD? similar but a bit less elaborate answer as at 92Y.
how did model 1 come about? turner was around for john mcvie.
guitar-and-amp setup for rumours? lots of brain cells ago...
how does he get acoustic sound like on SWS song? he uses acoustic-electric designed for the stage, plugs in,delay on the pedal, split signals create surround effect.
