I was poking around Youtube and came across this "demo" of Landslide circa "1997" according to the poster. Was this on the reel of "demos" that Stevie recorded and took with her to CA along with Silver Girl?

Whose the guitarist? Do we know?
It's a really good quality recording, thanks for unearthing this gem :)
I'm sorry I can't help with locating it's origin.

the recording is from the "For The Gypsies That Remain" 8 cd set.
i forget which disc its on, but its labeled as Landslide (97 demo)
i was once told that it was recorded in 1997 for the Landslide remixes that were released that same year.

It's not a demo, it's from the KBCO Studio C - Volume 13 CD recorded in 2001 - which is live in the studio versions recorded for KCBO radio in Colorado. Not sure what the purpose of the CD is... possibly a charity thing.

Thanks for the info. I'll change it on the video when I get a chance.

just reported that FM's Landslide has chalked up 1 million downloads... pretty sweet for Stevie's bottom line!

By March 2011, the live version of Landslide from The Dance had sold 849,500 digital copies , about 30,000 more paid downloads than The Dixie Chick's hugely successful cover version (820,000 K, but has sold another 50K since). Both versions re-entered the digital sales chart along with the Glee cast version, which was that week's highest debuting single (#23) on the Billboard Hot 100 comprehensive singles chart, which tabulates sales, radio play and streaming data.
The FM/SN back catalog sales is a massive revenue stream that offers greater annual returns than most of the new releases from the label's active roster and track sales are matching those of current radio hits. Sales of Leather & Lace continue to spike thanks to TV shows such as The Voice. When the video of Stevie singing L&L with Adam Levine hit youtube, the 30 year old song hit #1 on iTunes Rock song chart and stayed there for 48 hours with 9,000 paid downloads. That's why the label pressures her to perform a "classic" during TV spots.
