So who is going? My husband and I will be there and a meet up before the show would be great! Should be plenty of places being that its in the heart of downtown. And if you are still looking for tickets, I went to EmpireTickets.com (a broker in Atlanta) and got 2 5th row seats dead center for $55 a piece. Below face value! Last time I checked there were 2 of those left and then 2 more 5th row for $59 a piece.
Hope to see you all soon!

I have a question about the seating chart if anyone can help. According to the charts I have looked at there is no indication of a "pit". But I have seen tickets online and seen some posts on FB that people have rows AA BB and CC. Anyone know anthing about this so called pit?

Maybe this seating chart will help! The pit isn't shown on some charts because it is not always used for seating. This is only floor level. There are also balcony levels.

If anyone needs a single front row ticket for this show, PM me. I'm not going to be able to attend, so I'll give someone a great deal on it.

Thanks for the info but I wish I had known about this. So really I'm 8th row and I'm not dead center like I thought but beggers can't be choosers and I should be happy with what I have for the price I got.
But lets keep it General Admission Lindsey. So much better IMO. I wish he could have played the Tabernacle instead.
Oh well, what can you do?!

I'll be there, but I have to work till 5. Usually what I like to do is get there early and wait around the buses/load in area to see if I can catch Lindsey coming in for sound check. Last time when he played Variety Playhouse he stopped briefly and signed his new CD (that had only came out a few days earlier) for me. That was a thrill!! This time I want a pic taken with him. Hey, I can dream can't I? I have never been to this theater before so I don't know the set-up, but he makes himself more available on his solo tours so there is a chance. If you tell me what you are wearing I will be on the look-out for you. I will probably have my OOC tour shirt on. :wavey:

TwistedGypsy

Not sure what I will be wearing but I'll figure it out soon. I was looking at maybe somewhere to meet up before the show and I found this place right down the street called Tap. But I don't live downtown so any suggestions of somewhere laid back where we could grab a cold one would be nice.

Actually, I have been there for brunch a few times recently and it's a pretty nice place. The food is good. I don't spend much time in that area, but it's like you said, it's right downtown so there are a lot of places close by to hang out at. I'm not sure about parking though but I am supercalifragilisticexpialidociously excited. :blob2::blob2::blob2:

I'll be in a blue top with a blouse under that that has blue, green dots. Long brown hair and I'm 5' 10" so its hard to miss me. And I'll be with my husband, also in a blue shirt.

Just got home. Helluva show! Pretty good audience but the 7th row was half empty. But from start to finish it was full of energy and couldn't have asked for a better show. All the new stuff was great and you could have heard a pin drop during Seeds We Sow. A highlight for me was All My Sorrows. Such a great piece for the whole band.
But after the show we waited out back with about 10 other people. Lindsey came out and went straight into a van. No pics, no autographs, not even a wave. But oh well. I did get my cd signed by Brett and Neale by the tour bus and got 2 kisses from Brett. Great bunch of guys!
Great to meet up again with Nancy, Kristin and to meet Tiff. :D

I was in the seventh row, haha. I also saw Brett and neale by the bus, Brett kept hugging me haha. And he called me a baby ( I'm eighteen).

Had a great time, but it was bizarre that there was like no one in our row. Awesomeshow though. Brought a friend who really enjoyed it and said he loved Illumination.

Lindsey just never seems to be ready for a picture with fans, does he? He's like Earl Hickey from My Name is Earl with his eyes closed in every shot. LOL!

Great pic, regardless. Looks like a lot of our fan photos will be Cool Lindsey in the sunglasses.

Yep, there were quite a few empty seats in Clearwater and I'm sure it was due to the brokers not having sold them. That or people decided not to go?

A hint for those wanting to meet LB: The absolute best time to meet Lindsey is not AFTER the show, but BEFORE, when they arrive for soundcheck. He's not exhausted from the show and it's daytime, so no flashes in his face.

Former member of Fleetwood Mac and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Lindsey Buckingham made a stop in Atlanta on his Seeds We Sow Tour and performed his solo hits as well as material from his days with Fleetwood Mac for enthusiastic fans at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Hall. Buckingham performed a full acoustic set with just a guitar before being joined onstage by his band. Music News Nashville was on hand at the concert to capture photos of the evening.

Sorry I missed you again! I was on Brett's side, 3rd row in a black sweater. Man, that crowd sucked!!! I knew it would though being at the Woodruff Arts Center. Too snobby, sorry. Anyway, LB was in EXCELLENT form. I probably heard the most perfect renditions in one show ever. Totally blown away. It certainly helped the first 3 songs are some of my all time favs, especially acoustic versions of the last two: SUD, GI, Trouble.

The crowd only really got into it for GYOW. And, it was a pain in the butt sitting after every song -- we would give him an ovation at the end of almost every song and then it was right back down again. I felt like I was a jack in the box. Ridiculous.

Anyway, I was glad to see him again and hear the live SWS songs. I just hate it was at that venue. It would have been so much better at Center Stage or Variety Playhouse. Oh, but seeing the solo for ISA from my vantage point was an amazing experience even if my dream of strumming the guitar during GYOW remains elusive. Sigh.

I was on Brett's side too. I think I might have saw you. Were you the one that yelled out Rock Away Blind? 3 times! Who were you sitting with?
But I agree with what you said about perfect rendentions. Everything was so great. Very tight and the sound there was amazing! Yeah it sucked big time sitting after almost every song. The girl next to me only stood for the very last song and thats because her boyfriend insisted. And did you see who was sitting front row center? Like a 65 year old grandma. I wonder if that hurts his ego? My husband said, yeah that must suck to look out now and see a bunch of old farts instead of some hot 20 something year old. :o
Also, I can't remember which song but the lady in the front on Neale's side with the long blonde hair almost got a size 8 Lindsey boot to the face. From what I saw he came really close to knocking her out.
And I did get big surprise when I met Neale. I had no idea he was I guess British. At first I thought he was just pretending. But we had fun and its great that my husband and I love the same music and he enjoys it just as much as I do. We had a great date night. I just wish all of them could have Lindsey in it.

^ I think the reason for all of the elderly is because they have season passes to the Atlanta Symphony.

It was definitely kind of bizarre. I mean, of course it's going to be mostly like middle-aged I guess, but there was a lot of, literally elderly people..

That was the case in many of these venues. Season ticket holders. Nothing beats the elderly lady next to me in front row in Ridgefield, CT clutching a box of Junior Mints throughout the whole show. That was bizarre.

I'm almost 63 years old and will be front row center for two of Lindsey's SoCal shows. I find your observations about the other fans in the audience, even if said in jest, are totally uncalled for and extremely hurtful.

It's not about who was in the audience but who is on the stage.

Well, I understand there are going to be older people in the audience. Time makes you bolder, children get older and we are all getting older too :D But my husband was just thinking out loud by what he said.
And as for me, I'm just jealous. I hope when you go to your shows though you take full advantage of your front row seats and not just sit there and do nothing.
Last night Lindsey talked about change and we were just wondering if seeing "older" people in the audience makes him more aware of his own mortality. Not meant to hurt feelings, so put away the tissues.

This was the first show I've seen at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Personally, I enjoyed the venue for Lindsey's Atlanta 2006 show better: the Variety Playhouse. The entire floor general admission, and everyone standing.

Having said that, in defense of of the Woodruff Arts Center:

- The audio acoustics were superb. My ears are very attuned to the audio acoustics. And this venue was fantastic in that regard. It was a real treat to have the audio quality so superb, it reminded me of my studio reference in-ear monitors. Yeah, it was really, really sweet sound at the Woodruff Arts Center.

- The ushers working there were all like my Mom's age. They were really sweet and helpful. Much more so that most venues.

Yes, I totally agree with you on both points. I also liked the fact that they weren't into searching your bag and making you feel like you were there to cause trouble before you even got through the door. I remembered seeing the ASO and The Nutcracker there as a child and being impressed then with the acoustics. Big A+ for that.

I agree with you. The sound was amazing there, and although I prefer general admission, it was nice to be able to have such incredible sound. Did anyone happen to record this show? It would be nice to have. The only real problem I had was the front row was so close to the stage that only people in the front row could get to the stage during Go Your Own Way. I've been close enough to play his guitar several times, so there is no reason to be greedy...but still... The people around me were all very nice.

I was the brown haired girl next to you. Hi! :)

It was great to see Brit again after all these years. Nice to meet hubby too! And of course it was also a blast hanging out with Sarah and cystal_elle afterwards.

The venue may have been a bit staid, but the acoustics and lighting were excellent. I'm delighted that video was taken - I was sitting near the taper I think! I was second row to the right, about five from the end.

Definitely a great show!

The only real problem I had was the front row was so close to the stage that only people in the front row could get to the stage during Go Your Own Way.

Oooh, I love a venue like this! I wish they would advertise this when they sell seats, because it definitely makes a front row ticket worth it, even when you have to scalp.

Looking at this picture and I am trying to picture what LB would look like if he shaved his head. He could be a cool looking bald guy like Bruce Willis or Patrick Stewart, I think he should go for it.

I vote against this bill.

His head looks massive (and I don't mean that figuratively). I don't think it would be attractive at all. Plus, his hair is still kind of gorgeous, even if you have to travel further to find it.

Haha You may be right but I think if the hair follicles keep threatening to quit, it would be a bold move to fire them. It would fit with the low maintenance look he has right now. Im gonna look for that pic of him with the conehead on to see how it might look

and... we're back to hair discussion:laugh:. i've heard from several random people that at this point he should just shave it off. but i'm with you Michele - his hair is still very pretty, plus he looks like a lion (as my son just said today) and that's not a bad thing necessarily. i don't think his head is big, just sometimes you get that impression with the high hair. but his high curly hair makes it interesting, and that hair at this point is so LB and a part of his persona even for people who don't know much about him. i think it should stay!:woohoo:

Here's the ticket that I got signed. I guess that I got so excited when he agreed to take a pic that that my sweaty hands smudged the ink. With all the albums, cds, and other memorabilia I have I was unprepared for the autograph, but I still got what I wanted most...the pic.

Hi, it was great to be seating around so many nice people and real fans.

I didn't record when LB shook hands with people in the front row. But I was lucky enough to be one of the people who got an overhand "yo, bro" handclasp when he was on the other side of the stage across from where you were. I'd like to see that on video, too!

You'll probably think I'm crazy for asking but what song was all of that after? I was so blown away to get a handshake from Lindsey that I have completely forgotten!!!

It was when he came out for his first encore, I believe. I remember jokingly saying that he was doing an "Edge Walk." ;)

Hahaha! I thought that too. It was funny to watch him as he started out on our side, just because there were only a couple of people standing right at the stage and then it seemed like the entire front row started reaching out to shake his hand and he obliged. I've never really seen him do that for the length of the stage.

Thanks for the info!! I really couldn't think! When I saw him shaking hands on the other side of the stage, all I could think was 'Please do that over here!' I'm usually a pretty shy person, but I just stuck out my hand, hoping he'd reach for me!!! I was just so surprised!

....I must sound like I'm off the wall! I've been a Lindsey fan for too long!:D

You! It's a GREAT picture....he's got his arm around you!!! There is Lindsey/SD333 energy that got transferred and you have the picture for life!

Some Native Americans refused to have their pictures taken because they believed that a part of their soul was captured. I love pictures for exactly the same reason...the soul is captured for eternity. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!

PS....I love the t-shirt. Did he comment on it? (Sorry I haven't read the whole thread.)

When I first arrived he was signing other people stuff, so I don't think that he saw my shirt. He was very friendly and spent a little more time with the fans (all 3 of us...lol) than the last time I met him, although you can tell from the pic that he was ready to make a mad dash for the door. During the show he did stare right at me for a few seconds, and I got the feeling that he noticed the shirt for the first time. Other people have commented that he gave them direct eye contact too. It's so nice that someone that has the success that he had will still be so accommodating. He has loosen up a lot since the first (OOC) tour, and he seems to be really enjoying himself and the fans.

Here is what the back of the t-shirt looks like. From what I remember this was the only shirt that they offered on that tour.
