I wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or put this in with the combined MW/Fillmore show thread.
Is anyone up for meeting either at the show just to say hi or before the show for dinner?
Also, does anyone want to carpool to the MW show from SF? I have a car and can drive but I'd have to leave you at the Balboa Park BART station near my house coming home just because I have to be at work early the next day. Or, if you drive to my place, we can go down in one car and save on gas and the parking fee. It's not a big deal, but I thought it might be fun to drive down listening to Stevie and getting up for the show with some Ledgies :)

Due to the rainy weather we are supposed to be having in the Bay Area, Stevie's Mountain Winery show was pushed back a day.
I am glad they did this. I wasnt looking forward to a cold rainy evening there.

Yaay :) Thursday is a slightly better night for me to take off of work, and I was really not looking forward to sitting in the rain (though I'm sure that Stevie would have added Outside the Rain to her setlist :) )
Yes, it has been confirmed. It's on the Mountain Winery's website. It's funny. They state that all of Wednesday's tickets will be honored for Thursday night, but they don't say anything about getting your money back if you can't go Thursday. I assume that that is possible. So people, if you want to see Stevie at the MW, I'm sure there will be very good seats available (if you have the dough :) ) I checked on line yesterday and there was a seat in row G (7th row). :)

Between tomorrow night and the Fillmore shows, who's going to post Stevie sightings. I wonder what she'll do in the bay area. I hope the weather turns nice for everyone.

Great show last night! It was quite cold though. Mama was bundled in a black coat and scarf all night. Looked very cute. She was also quite chatty. Lindsey was on her mind and she told us about the two of them living in nearby Los Gatos. She also referenced herself as being a vampire and is centuries old. Thought that was funny. Apparently she and Edgar Allan Poe were lovers at one time through the years also.
The set list was the same as this summer. The drum solo was axed before Edge due to a strict venue time curfew. She did the Edge walk, but security was pretty strict so only the first two rows or so were able to get up to the stage. They were also pretty strict about a no camera policy "at request of the artist."
My favorite songs last night had to be the new songs. She put a lot of energy into them and it showed. Annabel Lee and Moonlight were probably my two faves. I also think Soldier's Angel shines live compared to the recorded version.
See you all the Fillmore!

The MW show was really great. It was super cold but dry. I hadn't seen her on this tour yet, so I really enjoyed that fact that there were so many new songs that I hadn't heard live before (Secret Love, For What It's Worth, Moonlight, Annabel Lee, Soldier's Angel, Ghosts Are Gone plus Love Is.). She talked a lot and told stories about living in the Bay Area (as she always does) and told a story about going to Walter Reed. She was wearing her usual gowns but she had a ton of clothes on underneath, so she joked that she wasn't really that fat and that only 75% of what we saw was her and that the other 25% were her undergarments :) She was in fine voice and as far as I could tell, people really liked the new songs. I know that I did :) She talked about driving to CSM (College of San Mateo) every day for two years and dedicated Landslide to her classmate there way back when. Also, her voice coach did the male vocals for Leather and Lace. :) And we got there early enough to hear part of the sound check, which was fun :) All in all a very nice concert :)
The setlist was those songs plus the other ones she always does (Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Landslide, Rhiannon, Edge of Seventeen, Stand Back). That makes 14. Because of the curfew she didn't have any extra time last night, but who knows, maybe she'll feel something special at the Fillmore and add a song? :)
