A much belated big thank you to everyone for the birthday greeting. I wasn't checking into The Ledge because I was in the hospital recovering from a bad car accident. It happened on my birthday.

The car was totaled. but luckily I survived, with a ten stitches in my hand cut by the window breaking, various bruises, and nearly having all the ribs shattered on my left side. Fortunately that didn't happen, but it felt like it, and I was incapacited for about five days, unable to move without crippling pain. I'm out of the hospital and it's getting better.

It was a birthday I'd rather forget.

I seem to have a history of having accidents/getting injured on significant days. When I was in high school I broke all the toes on my left foot on Friday the 13th, the night I planned on going to a "Bad Luck" dance/party. Ten years ago my car was rear-ended and totaled as I was driving to a Christmas Eve gathering; a painful case of whip-lash there.

Sorry to hear that all of this happened!! I'm so glad you came out of it relatively okay!
