Please Keep My Mom In Your Thoughts....

That today felt like a dream...and its JUST hitting me what happened....
My mom had a seizure this morning while having coffee with her bf and all of a sudden her eyes got wicked big and rolled back and her mouth crossed and she started shaking and foaming...my moms bf caught her before she could fall and called 911

So I've been with my mom ALL day...they transfered her from our towns hospital to Umass Worcester....They had a CT scan and I guess there is a mass in the front of her head that is causing pressure against her brain...

Funny thing is she actually has been having mini seizures for a few years...she was having hot flashes with a funny taste in her mouth and smell and I guess thats a form of a seizure....So they admitted her today and their gonna do an MRI and EEG or whatever tomorrow...So I'll know more tomorrow...I forget what the Doctor says she thinks it is...but she said she doesnt think its canerous...

Can my mom EVER get a break =( Please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers...

Thanks guys I really appreciate it...My mom had an MRI last night(or early this morning lol) and I think she should be getting out of the EEG(or whatever) soon so my moms (ex)bf is almost to the hospital so she wont be alone to hear what it is...I am HOPING it nothing bad......

I have a salon job appt at 12:30(to do a haircut on someone)...and then I am going to rush over to the hospital and probs spend a while there...

I will send your mom my prayers and I will keep her in my thoughts. I'm sorry this has happened. Keep an eye on your mom. Hospitals tend to think older people are expendable. You have to be her advocate. Let them know you care and fight for her.

Thanks everyone SO much for your prayers and thoughts...So it turns out my mom has something called "Meningioma" which is just a mass that has grown between her skull and her brain....Its not IN the brain so thats good....If it was smaller they wouldnt have to have surgery...but because its larger than they expected(like 2cmx3cm) they want to remove it and do a biopsy on it to make sure its benign...

So the discharged my mom today....she cant drive for 6 months because of her seizure....and on Tuesday she has to go back to talk to the Neuro surgeon...

Thanks a lot! I hope so too...I'm trying to be strong...I feel like my wall is so built up to make sure I dont cry and stuff infront of my mom and scare her even more...So when I want to cry it just wont come out =\

I was talking to my mom today and shes like "The thing im most scared of is having this ticking time bomb in my head...if i didnt even know I had seizure...who knows if I did or didnt have any in the past?"

I know, it's so hard to be strong all the time, but just know that you always have us Ledgies to make you smile and friends are only a phone call away, do you keep a journal? I find that when I'm really upset about something and my feelings are tough to get out, writing or drawing in my journal helps, even grabbing a pen and scribbling angrily all over paper helps, it gets those emotions right out! <3

UPDATE:

Went to the Neuro Surgeon with my mom today....He wants to remove the mass. She will be in the hospital 2-3 days and be laid up for 4 weeks =\ He said he wants to have the surgery October 1st....NEXT SATURDAY!!!

P.S. I AM SO FREAKIN SCARED!!!

It's great that her prognosis is good. Surgery is always scary, so keep positive thoughts.
I'll say a prayer for you and your Mom.
