Amazon is offering the download version of Seeds We Sow on September 5 (including the alternative version of two songs). That just made my Labor Day a lot more enjoyable!

Great! That means I'll be buying it twice. I've already received an email from Amazon stating they've shipped my copy and that it'll be here on the 6th. But I can't wait for that crappy delivery service to drop it off... I'll be buying the mp3 version come midnight.

Anyone else notice how Seeds We Sow isn't on iTunes even as an upcoming album? Seems kind of strange it's on Amazon but not iTunes. I can't decide if I'm going to buy the mp3's from Amazon, or just get a CD from my local Indie record store on Tuesday. I have never bought an MP3 before... I've always insisted on having the cd as a backup. :shrug:

yeah, i thought it was strange too. it is available on itunes UK though so unlike kid rock it's not b/c any aversion towards apple :p. maybe it's just the overall less organized approach in the US vs europe where approach was a bit less diy when it came to distribution?

Not at all. I have bought quite a few mp3 albums from Amazon. What's very cool is that it automatically puts in on your itunes. If you have itunes it makes it very convenient.

Do you think they will allow people to just download those bonus songs, or will we have to buy the whole album? I ask because I know some albums, like the Moulin Rouge soundtrack for example, you have to buy the whole thing- even if you have most of the songs and just want that Voulez-Vous song...*sigh*

Oh! And since so many are probably going to buy it at midnight I'm hoping initial thoughts will be shared. I love that kind of stuff. We should have a little SWS review party right on here!!

Me too, elle! But that's not a bad thing because the album versions of both songs are stunning as well. I don't know if I've lost all objective reasoning or what but I really can't find a flaw on this album. It's like even some songs that, on their own, maybe I wouldn't jam to as much fit so perfectly within the flow of the album...but still, all these songs...:xoxo:

Um, I just figured out after the fact that I could download the entire album for $3.99. Duh.

I don't mind the extra money I paid so much I do the time it spent clicking, clicking, clicking to buy one song at a time. Why don't I read?

I like the alternate Seeds We Sow, but I don't think it should have made the album cut instead. It's great fun to have it as a bonus track though. I love the scissoring synthesizer for "oh, the seeds we sow" and how it plays through the song's fade out. It's a frenetic explosion of sound, yet doesn't end up just sounding like mere noise.

Is it just me or does this call back to some pre- OOTC era? I swear this has some... Mirage outtake or Go Insane (almost) feel? Am I wrong?

Don't get me wrong, love it, but I think the "original" SWS is a bit better...

(PS who can't make it through a STUDIO, REAL version of She Smiled Sweetly without getting near-misty-eyed?)

Gahh!! I'm so confused! I just paid to download the album off amazon, and I got the Amazon downloader thing, but the album tracks are nowhere to be found! I can't find where to download them either without paying all over again. HELP!!! :distress:

Edit: nevermind. I just gave up and paid for the album again. I don't have any clue what happened to it the first time around, but it seems to be downloading now. :rolleyes:

I think it would be great if Lindsey closed with SWS and sang it all the way through, traditionally.

Then, at the end, just when everyone thinks the concert is over, he starts a reprise and continues with the electric version of the SWS chorus, with the whole band joining in.

Its a lot of money to pay a week before christmas and especailly when there is a new baby in the house, but i have thought long and hard and it Just means so much for me to be there.
I have seen my friends pay £1000 for a champions league final ticket
Pay £550 for a FA Cup Final Ticket.
