I know right!? This survivor is rigged! ;) And so far Annabel Lee (btw misspelled in poll) & You May Be The One are in the lead. Just crazy wrong

The Ledge must have terrible taste. "You May Be The One" is my second favorite track on the album.

Meh, it's probably being rigged behind the scenes.
My votes are for New Orleans and Ghosts Are Gone.

"You May Be The One" is my second favorite track on the album.
Along with "Moonlight" and "New Orleans", it's Top 3 for me.:(
My votes went to FWIW (which I mostly don't dislike) & "Annabel Lee" (which I mostly do).

I'll go with 'The Heat Is On' - sorry, I meant 'Ghosts Are Gone' - and 'Italian Summer'. Pants to see 'the beautiful Annabel Lee' go this early. :(

Secret Love (time to die already:laugh:) and Ghosts Are Gone (love an uptempo Stevie rocker, but the lyrics just leave me ambivalent )

Yup, the bagpipe drone FWIW, and the puzzlingly pointless Annabel Lee, please.

Same here:)! For the 1st month of listening to IYD it was sooo hard for me to even rank any favorites. But not only has Moonlight & YMBTO risen to become my 2 very favorite songs off IYD, I cannot even imagine the possibility that these songs came close to not ever being in my life!

I'm putting "New Orleans" into the fire to save my beloved "YMBTO".
Other vote for good measure: "Ghosts are Gone"

Looks like I'll be voting for the same songs for the next couple of rounds.

GAG and Italian Summer.
I actually like GAG, it's just simply not as strong of a song as the others. Italian Summer has some very good qualities and a very good vocal, but, is tarnished by a few lyrical missteps (namely - oh, it's so romantic, hey, it's so soulful)..
So those were my picks.
Really sad Soldier's Angel is gone. It is, in fact, the only song on the record that Stevie wrote both music and lyrics for that wasn't pulled out of the vault. And I think it's a great song at that.

I'm surprised Wide Sargasso Sea doesnt have more votes... that song is roobish ;)

Oh, now you're going to make me always think Heat Is On lyrics when I hear GAG! My brain has been infected.

ELY is gone? What a joke.
I know. And Annabelle Lee just appeared. Huh? After the instrumental, which is beautiful, I hit skip. But she wrote it when she was 17, and Rolling Stone singled it out, so let's get it into the top 4. Don't you know how this works, yet?
And let's put For What's it is Worth in the top 3 because almost reviewer, who didn't know what single to single out on this album, which covers several different genres, put it on Download This because it reminded them of Landslide. Gotta be a winner eventhough it was released two months ago and has yet, to chart.

How much do I love the Ledge right now? The 'wtf?' quotient on this thread is hilarious. :blob2:

AL takes annoying to new levels, I agree. I just can't stop thinking "why?" Let's get rid of it.

FWIW is to Landslide as Docklands is to Rhiannon. Death to it!

Because there was only a certain number of options you could add to the poll, so the OP didn't have a choice but to leave some off - he left off the ones that have gotten generally good consensuses and thus the least likely to be voted off in the early rounds.
And.. you know.. it's probably more likely that people aren't voting for these songs as much because they like them more. I really doubt there's some sort of favoritism towards whatever the critics said.

Exactly. Sometimes songs you like are not as liked by others, no matter how loud or how often you blow your trumpet for them. The silent majority has spoken. No need to be a sore loser, its all in good fun.

It is in good fun, and part of it is expressing your dismay when masterpieces are voted off in favour of dreck!

These were my choices too. I do love them though but out of what's left I think they're the weakest.
