What songs have given you the most repeat moments?
The album should of dug a whole in your brain by now so time to talk about it. (Let's face it. This album is sooo diverse and she explores different genres but the songs are about the same quality in each genre, so the the album needs time to sink in.)
Ok, after sifting through this album hundreds of times throughout the summer, certain songs have giving me days or weeks of repeat moments. I know a song is really good if I want to listen to it over and over again.
Some of the songs are too long, but are so good that I don't care. Some of the songs have conjured up imagery in my head that I make up stories too. In other words, the songs take me to another place.
So far, I've gotten those moments from these songs.
Everybody Loves You, Ghosts are Gone, Italian Summer, Wide Sargossa Sea, Soldier's Angel, You May Be the One...
I have had smaller repeat moments from Moonlight, In Your Dreams, New Orleans
I do like the other songs as well and am waiting for them to catch my fancy and take me to another place. Probably, would of have had repeat moments from Annabelle Lee but that song is just wayyyyyyyyy to long. The length of that song really bothers me for some reason. After the beautiful instrumental I tend to cut it short.

My current top 3 repeats :
1. You May Be the One (followed by Italian Summer because the songs are strung together personally for me)
2. Moonlight
3. Annabel Lee

So basically you've got 9 of the 13 songs on repeat? :p
Currently the only song I'm pulling up and listening to is Everybody Loves You, and I always repeat it. I'm honestly quite burned out on the album now and have been for some time. When I first got the album I also had Wide Sargasso Sea on constant repeat, but I I've played that song to death now. :D

Well, no I don't have the whole album on repeat. Basically, 6 songs have given me great repeat moments. Last month, was basically Wide Sargosso Sea Month. I think August is Ghosts are Gone month.
The other songs have given me smaller repeat moments.
The fact is its really been decades since I have had soo many repeats from a Stevie Nicks album. This is a good album.

You May Be The One - a classic deep album track I'd like to think will find its place somewhere ...perhaps on satelite radio.
In Your Dreams
Moonlight
For What It's Worth
Wide Sargossa Sea
I love them all really, even My Heart.
I like Italian Summer, but wish it had more lyrical substance to it. It seems underwritten and repetitive. I feel like there's a better song in it waiting to happen.

I'm still digging this album , at this stage i'm still inclined to play my favorite tunes on repeat daily, which are WSS, New Orleans, Moonlight & Soldiers Angel i cant get enough of these songs, they are brilliant & addictive.. GAG is a good rockin song so looking forward to hearing ML & SA as well live in December
Annabel Lee is good in small doses, i kinda tune out after the first couple of verses.
FWIT i still enjoy, its fun to sing along to.
I'm still loving the %98 of the Album, but ALWAYS skip Italian Summer & CTF..

so true about You May the One, perfect summation
Italian Summer is too long. That's why it feels repetitive. Still, the difference between this song and Annabelle Lee is I don't mind nearly as much. The song is one big crescendo, we just need to get the payoff a little sooner.

According to iTunes, my most played songs:
1. For What it's Worth
2. Wide Sargasso Sea
3. YMBTO (tie)
3. Moonlight (tie)
Those four have been my favorites since the beginning, and though I've played some of them out for the moment, will probably remain my favorites. I would place all four among Stevie's top 20 solo songs.
Recently, though, I've been listening to New Orleans constantly. I've also had smaller "repeat moments" with Italian Summer and Soldier's Angel.

Another notable thing about the song You May Be The One is that it has five distinct verses, which is very unusual for Stevie.

Soldier's Angel
You May Be The One

Moonlight

Secret Love
those are the tracks I listen to the most and repeat often. Most of the time I listen to the album as a whole, but if I don't, those are the ones I skip to, in that order of importance.

The whole album is repeated here daily multiple times... I play it beginning to end each time... not because I don't love individual songs more than the others to just go to them, I just love the whole album! Period! You May Be The One just might be my favorite track on the album, with Annabel Lee coming up next... and I hate choosing favorites on this cause the whole album is really good, but I love the vocals on You May Be The One especially the chorus/harmony singing... With Annabel Lee, it's a great track and I think the length for me just adds to it's appeal... The fact that it just keeps on going and going couldn't be better. Now if I didn't like the track, the length would be a problem.

Moonlight. Definitely! She started writing that song way back in the Bella Donna era. I wasn't alive then.. But I do research, and that Moonlight is definitley the most flashbacky song on the album.

Ok here are my most listened to songs from IYD:
Ghosts are Gone
FWIW
Everybody Loves You
Moonlight
You May Be the One
Italian Summer (mainly because I actually got the chance to go to Italy this summer...so it really was the Italian Summer for me)

My interest in this album definitely comes and goes. I debate often whether or not I like the album or if it's just the fact that it's new Stevie. You May Be The One, Wide Sargasso Sea and Moonlight are the exceptions because they are perfect.

This has been a permanent fixture in my truck since it was released. I listen to other music while I'm on my computer. I was on a Doors kick recently. However, as a road CD this album is perfect. It's because of the variety. It's like listening to the radio. A lot of the music also fits perfectly with the summer scenery. I have spent a lot of time on the road this year and this CD is a welcome suprise. It's not my favorite Nicks album. I still think Bella Donna is just perfect. However, this album is my second favorite. I love the Wild Heart, too, but it's hard to beat the kind of flow In Your Dreams has. Each song takes you into a different direction. The endings of the songs and her vocals are perfect too. The Wild Heart sounds too dated now.
I have only two complaints with this CD: the first is the sequencing of Secret Love and For What It's Worth. The album should start with In Your Dreams. The second is that at least 4, probably 5, songs are too long. Minor quips.

I have kind of divided the album up into sections. So, for me, it just depends on which "section" I most want to listen to. As if right now, here is how they are divided up:
1.
Secret Love
For What It's Worth
In Your Dreams
2.
Moonlight
Annabel Lee
Everybody Loves You
3.
Everybody Love You
Ghosts Are Gone
You May Be The One
There's no rhyme or reason for it. It just depends on which "section" is tickling my fancy.

I always listen to the album almost all the way through too, but I sometimes skip Cheaper Than Free. As you said, I like some songs better than others and YMBTO is my favorite, but repeating it would just make me tire of it, so I refrain.
I developed this rule when SYW came out and I just wanted to play 3 tracks over and over again. I had to stop myself and that prohibition served me well, so now I do it with all FM related product.

I'm having trouble picking my repeats because they change all the time. Whatever song is playing in my head when I wake up is usually the one that gets repeated the most for that day.
It's easier just to say I skip over Secret Love and Cheaper Than Free.

Wide Sargasso Sea
New Orleans
In Your Dreams (I love the sound of her voice on this one)
Moonlight
Ghosts Are Gone (Not my favorite song, but good for driving)

Same here- I do really enjoy the album, but I rarely have those days where it's a "must listen". I do LOVE You May Be the One, Ghosts Are Gone, and In Your Dreams, though. The 'new Stevie" sound will always be overshadowed by the "old Stevie" of Bella Donna and The Wild Heart for me. The Wild Heart is my pick-me-up album, for sure!

Well for repeats I go for the following (in order):
Moonlight, Annabel Lee, Everybody Loves You, Italian Summer, Secret Love, For What It's Worth, New Orleans, Wide Sargasso Sea, In Your Dreams, Cheaper Than Free, You May Be The One and Ghosts Are Gone.
I've moved Soldier's Angel to my version of Fleetwood Mac's Say You Will, sequenced right behind Illume.
I took My Heart off completely. Just don't care for the song.

At the moment, For What It's Worth, Everybody Loves You and Ghosts Are Gone are the songs I find myself listening to on repeat., especially in the car, they're great fun to sing along to (really badly). Annabel Lee and New Orleans have also been really heavily played, mainly because they're just so very pretty.

I played IYD start to finish on Saturday while I cleaned my house. It was the first time I'd listened to it since the Red Rocks show.
I don't really have any repeats right now, but when I did it was You May Be The One, In Your Dreams and Everybody Loves You.
Before that it was Italian Summer, Moonlight and Wide Sargasso Sea.

The ones I keep coming back to haven't changed much.
- Secret Love
- For What it's Worth
- Wide Sargasso Sea
- Moonlight
- Annabel Lee
Occasionally I'll be in a mood to hear others:
- New Orleans
- Ghosts Are Gone
- Italian Summer
- My Heart
- In Your Dreams
- Soldier's Angel
That is the second-tier for me - I like them, but I don't listen to them constantly like the first five.

My top tracks were For what it's worth, Wide Sargasso Sea, You May be the One, Moonlight, Italian Summer, and Ghosts are Gone. Whenever I listen to You May Be The One, it reminds me of the type of song Stevie would have written and recorded around the time that If You Ever Did Believe was released. It has that kind of aura around it for me.

I listened to the album, as a whole, in sequence, probably about four or five times when I first got it, and then I dumped it in its entirety into a long, sort of rolling playlist that I have on my ipod of stuff that I'm into at the moment. As a result, I'm totally still hearing things quite freshly: I don't even know the opening bars of all the tracks yet!
Top three would be: Annabel Lee, YMBTO and the title track. I adore FWIW but it always makes me cry, so have to give that a swerve (literally) if I'm driving or needing to keep it together.
'Moonlight' is growing on me.
I don't think I'll ever love 'Italian Summer' or CTF. Sorry, Stevie. Sorry, Dave. Love yiz, but ...

Hmm...YMBTO is a song that's just kind of "there," to me. It's a decent track, but doesn't blow me away. It's the same way I feel about Cheaper Than Free. I'm kind of surprised that it's popping up on so many people's favorite lists, tho I guess I shouldn't be.

I'm really starting to appreciate the album as a whole now. For the longest time, I hadn't been able to get into it as a body of work and really only truely loved a few songs. Which I wasn't surprised about, because that's usually what it's like for Stevie's solo work for me (excluding Bella Donna).
*hides*
I'm not saying that she isn't one of my favorite songwriters though! I figure I mostly have come to that conclusion because a lot of the "filler" songs on her albums aren't even written by her.
Anyway, back on topic, the album is growing on me so much more now - and it's not blending into each other.
I still think Moonlight and Annabel Lee are overrated however, and I can't get into Itallian Summer like the rest of the fanbase... I have a soft spot for the rest of the album though. And I don't skip those songs
Absolutely can't get ENOUGH of For What It's Worth - hands down my all time favorite Stevie song...ever!
My top tracks now would be:
For What It's Worth
New Orleans
Soldiers Angel - developed a new love for this one after watching that performance in the rain of it.
Ghosts Are Gone
You May Be The One
Secret Love - I still am infatuated with how this one made it onto the album. Even though at first I didn't care much for the production - but it's still a gem in my eyes just because the demo has always been a favorite of mine.
And I'm going to admit as well, I'm not the craziest about Dave's production on Stevie's work. He seems to overproduce in areas he really doesn't need to. It sort of reminds me of Lindsey's SYW production.
