We may be down there even before 6PM . We were down there early yesterday to get any info on the postponement and there was no one there at the boxoffice. While we were there we discovered that a gate to the seating was left open so we went in. We found our seats and took a few pictures from the stage to our seats. I am glad we going because our seats are much closer to the stage than we thought they were A stagehand shooed us out of there and said the person that left the gate open is in big trouble. He also said that Stevie 's show is on for Wednesday. Another reason to get there early is that there doesn't look like there all that many places to park for that size of venue.

Hope newcomers are welcomed!! :woohoo:
We plan on getting down there by 4pm or a little after depending on traffic. We don't want to get into the "getting-off-work" traffic in Altanta for sure, which is why we are getting down there sooo darn early.
Just let us know what the plans are for the meet up by no later than 1pm today. Otherwise, we won't know what is going on unfortunely. However, in front of the gates does sound like a easy spot to find.
Can't wait to meet some of you! Take care,
Alicia

What a great show. We met up with Mottabam,Twisted Gypsy and Portia prior and during the show. The sucurity were complete asses in not letting anyone past the front row during the edge walk.Stevie held up very on a very humid night. LauraTN and I got a little video and I will post some of it once we get caught up at home.

What I saw was the line started at the left during the beginning of Edge. I started to go down then in the middle aisle but realized no one was moving. I watched a couple of ladies go speak with an usher and he shook his head. They went back to their seat. Finally, right before Stevie came out one of those same ladies went and spoke to him again and went to center stage. Then when Stevie came out everyone began moving quickly to the stage and that's when I went too. All I gots to say is we was one stankin' bunch of people!! Good Lord, it was hot!!!

Well from 2nd row center it should be doable. I'll make friends with an usher and tell them we've come all the way from Vancouver , haha. Appeal to their kindness (if they have any, lol)

I was 5th row if that gives anyone hope. I didn't have to talk to anyone, I just walked and ended up in the midst of the crowd. I didn't have a problem besides getting close enough to get a hand shake which wasn't easy since I'm short.

Were these to ladies to the right of you? Because I walked up to them two or three times and got denied and thats when I said F**k you I'm going around so thats when I went to the center aisle. They were total jerks especially the guy sitting in section B-1R Row A Seat 1. Get a life you miserable jerk off! We were in each others faces almost and I was trying not to let them get to me but after having seen Stevie 16 times the Edge Walk is the highlight for me. The new songs were great but I've been through the routine. All I want is to shake her hand and hopefully get some eye contact and just tell her thank you. BTW, I was 9th row with an aisle seat.
Also at past shows, as soon as the song before Edge comes on its a mad rush. But these losers were still sitting during Edge. And only came up maybe with a minute or two before she starts the walk.
When I was leaving I told one of the security guards thanks for nothing and shook his hand. Now I did touch her hand but everything would have been much smoother for everyone if they had just known what was up. And the one guy in the audience that I got into it with that said I can't see if you stand there I said its a rock concert your supposed to stand. I'm just fed up with the semi-fans that don't give a damn and would rather get a buzz on.
Highlights of the show::D Soldiers Angel! Works so well on stage! Its moving and powerful. Then FWIW but not the song, even though its great, but the FWIW video playing in the background. It looks amazing!!!!!!!
Oh and Stevie said its not the singing that caused the postponed show, but her talking during her shows. And she said something funny about how hard it was for Stevie Nicks not to talk but she would try. No Landslide dedication also.
After a nap I will post pictures.

? Okay, so you were sitting in the 9th row, and these people you are talking about were sitting in the 1st row? And your complaint is that they didn't move to make way for you, and that they complained when you did get in front of them that you were blocking their view? And you've seen Stevie 16 times, and I'm guessing from the way you put it that you've often gone up during the Edge walk and said hi and shook her hand?
Is that all correct or am I misunderstanding you?

I was wondering the same thing. I gotta say, after i have spent what I have spent for the 2nd row and how far I will have travelled I would be out for blood if someone butted in ahead of me. Just sayin:shrug:

No the guy complaining was in the box section next to front row and it is slightly raised and if he had stood he would have been fine. My point is if you are not going to let people up then don't do Edge walk or how about doing smaller venues like the Wiltern that only hard core fans would come to.
My other point is, its a friggin ROCK CONCERT!!!!
You know what next show, I'm just going to sit in my seat and applause when I should and only stand during Dreams, Rhiannon and GDW. Sounds like a great time to me!
Unfortunately, I wasn't born when concerts were concerts. When everyone was there for the music and the experience.
Don't try to make me out to be a spoiled brat, because I'm not. I think in the situation I was in last night was that I'm young and there is no way I could be that big a fan or know what I was talking about. The security guy said "well you don't know the setlist.." Really sir? Would you like to try me?!
That's fine though....Stevie, it's your show and if you want to keep playing to mediocre fans then go right ahead. But if you are going to have the Edge walk then your people need to let the venue people know.
On a lighter note, getting ready to post my pics with my new camera!

Most of you probably don't remember me, but I was an addicted Ledgie during the Dance era. I'm not on here to disrespect anyone, but I'm backing Britt/Twisted up on this. If you pay a crap load of $$$ for top notch seats and your ass is sitting down in your seats then you are there for the wrong reasons. If Stevie didn't give a **** then she wouldnt do the walk. This ain't a movie theater it's a rock and roll experience and you can't experience that sitting down! That guy was just being a jerk! They don't call it a pit for the hell of it! wimps!:D:lol::eek:

Hi! Thanks for sharing your pics. I thought I saw you at the area where people were going to get the free wine but when I looked for you again I couldn't find you...
Yeah, those ladies were to my right but that would have been center aisle. From the looks of your pics we were right next to each other during the Edge Walk. I thought the women on my row knew what was happening but after I had to climb over all 7 of them to get out I guess not!
The buzz on crowd is the very reason I hate Chastain. It's in a high dollar neighborhood, parking sucks, the traffic is awful and the people are rude and disrespectful of the artists. I went to see Ray Charles there before he died and there they were down front, clinking glasses and chowing down on their dinner while a legend was playing his heart out for them. Glad he couldn't see 'em... (did I say that??) And, after the first song some woman behind me yelled "Sit Down!" ... I didn't right away until everyone else in my section had. But, after the money I paid for those seats I was going to make sure I had a good time and honestly I went to support Stevie and the new album and to let her know (I hope) that we think it's awesome. So, getting to do the Edge Walk was icing on the cake for me.

Totally agree with you. Lakewood or Verizon would have been a much better choice. As for parking I got there at 4:30 and parked right outside Gate 1.
And I did go get the free wine. Never turn down anything free especially booze.
Yeah we had to be right up on each other and what you said earlier, we were a hot mess! I brought extra deodrant cause I didn't want to be stinking up in there.;)
But I wish you had said hello! You going to the Lindsey show?

Luckily, my cousin lives about a mile away from Chastain, so to avoid parking drama we just had her husband drop us off and pick us up. I really lucked out on that end, and it also gave me a free and easy place to stay the night, since I had to leave at 7:30 that morning to get back to college for classes.
It sucks that some of you guys had bad experiences with rude audience members. I encountered occasional obnoxious people (mostly people who knew nothing about Stevie and were making rude comments about things she said, or complaining about the setlist, or spilling drinks on the people next to them ) but nothing to the extent where anyone was actually rude directly toward me.

Man, that's what I wanted - a ride to and from... that was sweet! Oh, there was some guy in front of me who was 7 ft. tall but thankfully never stood or else I would have had to go all Stand Back on him... but anywho I think he was sick or something because he kept leaning WAY back to when I was standing his head (which was a gorgeous head of pure white hair) would almost be pressed into my stomach. So, I was doing sort of a front/back sway instead of a side to side sway - messed my uncoordinated white girl dance all up!
The talk I heard about Stevie as I was leaving. These two dudes going on and on about how great she looked for 63 - they were talking pretty loudly about her age with comments like: "She's 63!" "What?! No Way!" "She DOES NOT look 63!" "I mean she looks GREAT for 63!" "I've never seen anyone 63 who looks that good!" LOL....

Fortunetly the 4 ladies in front of me were nice even though one sat the entire time. Two guys to my right were most lethargic. The two girls behind me knew all the new songs and I noticed they were right behind me when we moved to the stage area for Edge.
Yeah, the smells were awful up there as were the personalities of the security personnel.
I can't believe someone got the photo of Stevie when she thought the microphone stand was going to tip over and her hand reaches out for it. The startled look on her face at that moment was priceless.

I can't believe someone got the photo of Stevie when she thought the microphone stand was going to tip over and her hand reaches out for it. The startled look on her face at that moment was priceless.
It was great to meet you! Glad we both made it back okay. It was some night!

I would not have been a good citizen of Metro Atlanta if I let you wait on a bus in the middle of Atlanta at midnight. And I think I only saw like one or two busses while we were driving.

My favorite part on Love Is was her face when she sang, "Am I happy now? Yes, I am." Her face lit up with the greatest smile. :)

I was thinking the same thing....the only difference though is that I saw what actually happened. I was in the 4th row, wanted very badly to go up for the edge walk BUT I wasn't going to cause a distraction to get up there (also I froze cause I was in shock about being that close to my Stevie). I don't think Stevie would have wanted me to be annoying and irritate other folks just to get up near her. No, I wasn't going to do that. The guy arguing about his seat was basically making the arguement that his seats were closer and why should someone who had seats further back get to come up to the stage over folks who had closer seats. I agree that the security guy was a total jerk about letting folks up there...but rules is rules. To the girls who kept trying to get to the stage - no offense, but when 2 or 3 security people tell you to go sit down - DO IT! We, as in the folks on my row, just though yall were drunk... the other thing was, this didn't go on only during Edge...it started several songs before and happened several times!
Anyways, don't jump my little ledgie butt, lord knows I've acted silly to get what I wanted...but this was the ONLY complaint I have about the whole show.
Ahhh, now that I have that off my chest, let's get back to the Stevie loving posts.....

Well I can assure you I was not drunk. Who can afford more than 1 $11 Yuengling?! That was all I had and that sample of free wine. I don't drink at Stevie shows cause I want to remember it the next day.
When I sat down before Michael Grimm started I asked him about Edge walk and when he didn't know what I was talking about I explained it to him. He said he would ask his boss but obviously he didn't and couldn't be bothered I guess.
Hey here is an idea....want to have less security and not have to watch everybody like a hawk...No Booze! Because I'm sure that is what they were thinking too that I had too much to drink and just wanted to be a pest.
The lack of communication is what irritates me. If you are going to continue with the Edge Walk then Stevie's camp needs to let venue security or whoever know.
Sorry I have balls and some smart ass security guard doesn't intimidate me or some aging hippie who is too tired to stand and wants to be a little bitch.
From now on I think she should do General Admission. People get so f**king touchy at these shows. Oh and I guess I'm supposed to sit the whole time because I'm 5'10" also? !

That was a great part! And your pic of the almost mic fall is priceless! I was thinking she had that reaction because she was afraid it was going to wack someone in the audience on the head. It just reminded me of a total "mother" reaction. We really are her "children"!:xoxo:
