If it's a reputable broker, you should get a full refund less shipping fees. Generally if there is a reschedule date, they will not refund but you will have the same tickets for the reschedule date.

I think we all need a chill pill. IF a cancellation was decreed, it would not have simply disappeared from the LiveNation database. Similar to the Indianapolis show, the status would have been updated to "canceled." And if they really wanted to halt ticket sales for the show in anticipation of a cancellation, they would have just withdrawn all of the available seats so that, when you search for seats, you get a "no seats available at this time" message.
I suspect a technical problem.

Sorry about that. Really, though, this shouldn't make you any more nervous. Unlike the Atlanta/Indy debacle, this had nothing to do with Stevie's camp, and would never have affected the show.
And no matter what happens, we'll have an absolute blast in New York.:woohoo:

Jones Beach is VERY odd. It can be the most beautiful place to see a concert, if the weather is just right. Or, it could be very uncomfortable.
I would take some sort of light jacket/sweater/shawl because it can get nippy at night. Aside from that...who knows? I've been out there in the cold, rain and up to my knees in water (3 separate concerts-all in late spring/early summer).
Hopefully, you won't need anything else.

PNC NJ about 6000 seats; lawn holds about 12,000.
As I've said previously, there were about 4ooo people there in 2008.

The acoustics are also notoriously bad if you're sitting in a rear section because the entire structure is nothing but a concrete half-bowl. But then again, if I recall correctly, the ampitheatre was originally conceived as a venue for aquatic performances (dolphin shows, water skiing, acrobatics) with a large moat in front of the stage (where sections A, B, C and D are today). The Robert Moses Museum (on the boardwalk) has a pictorial history of Jones Beach as well as a history of the legacy of Robert Moses' triumphs (the parkway system in New York) and his failures (his ill-fated attempt to build a large freeway through the middle of lower Manhattan). I thought it was fascinating.

Jones Beach is hard to predict weather-wise. It was quite cold & windy for the Two Voices Tour (with Don Henley). I'm sure they sold a lot of hoodies that day. The Crystal Visions tour at Jones Beach was the craziest outting I have been to--the water had washed over the venue prior to the show starting, and the front/pit seats were in about a foot of water. (they couldn't pump it out) And while standing in the water, the sun goes down--filling the air with color, and wind . . . and with the electrical wires in the water, it might have been possible to be lifted up to God that night! Stevie came out in a winter coat, hat, scarf, all sorts of clothes that we hadn't seen a long time . . . all kinds of layers and gloves. I'm surprised the show went on, but it was amazing. Opening act, Chris Isaac, jumped off the stage and went splashing down to the audience after rolling up his pant legs. Totally surreal. For those that stood in a foot of water, your clothing wicked up the water in further, and if the audience hadnt literally huddled about, you'd be insane and freezing standing in those kind of elements for a couple of hours.
The best advice is to bring lots of layers, if you are coming a distance . . . you can always leave things in the car if you don't need them. Bring a cheap plastic pocket poncho with you as well. You will need a sweater/sweatshirt/light jacket at the very least once the sun goes down. Most important, check the forcast before you leave for the venue. That's your best bet. Night time usually drops into the 60's late August/early September.

Yes I agree.I was there too at those shows. Also when the FM's SYW tour stop there .It was like almost winter.
This was june. With rain.I do remember wearing my winter jacket with hat and mittens that day.Yes Stevie was bundled out too.they were some technical glitches due to the crappy weather too at the show.As we know FM handled the elements professionally.
