Has anyone seen the Tribute Band "Fleetwood Max"? Looking for any feedback good or bad about their live show. They are Playing Fort Myers this Saturday Night and I figured it might be a good warm up to seeing Stevie on Monday. Tickets are $15. I think I have a Live CD of theirs from Las Vegas or something, will have to find it.
There is some videos on their website. www.fleetwoodmax.com
thanks..
update: Fleetwood Max is out of Tampa, FL
There is another band called Fleetwood Maxx out of San Diego, that is the one I had the CD of.

I decided to go see this group. I arrived right when the show was to start. The "Stevie" was standing alone outside the ballroom while The Chain started playing. I must say her outfit was very nice. About 200 people there mostly 50+ year olds but some kids and a few 20-40's. Apparently they could not use their standard stage set-up and lighting due to the low ceiling of the room. Drummer couldn't use an elevated platform. Here is the set list:
The Chain
Dreams
Say you love me
I don't want to know
Gypsy
Big Love
Landslide (Best sound so far)
Over my Head
Gold Dust Women (Couple of nice wails, interesting arrangement)
10 minute break
Rhiannon
You make lovin fun
Oh Well
World Turning (Kinda Bekka Style, good segway to GYOW)
GYOW
SARA
Stop Draggin my heart around
Songbird (Best performance of the night)
Don't Stop
Would I pay to see this tribute act again? No
Guest there seemed to be enjoying it though. They danced in front of the stage for a few songs. The costumes were very good. "John" kinda looked like John, had the mannerisms pretty good. "Mick" had the traditional vest and hat but thats were the similarities stopped. "Lindsey" was ok but not a good singer. "Christine" played the part well behind the keyboards. "Stevie" looked good, sang ok for the most part, and was very friendly, great outfit. In the right venue and with a proper set-up they would have been better, especially if they used a real drum kit, and not the 80's style electronic pads. Overall I'll give them an "A" for effort, but a C- for performance.
