i'm guessing she'll leave for Bethel right after this. Although since she said she wants to promote IYD as much as she can, maybe she'll hit Letterman or Fallon if they tape their show on Fridays.

WoW. Go Stevie go!! She is really promoting the F**k out of this record! My hats off to her! God bless her, she really believes in this record (as she should)!! I really have a new found respect for her work ethic esp. at her age. No one can call this woman lazy. Stevie's a force and it'll be hard for the Grammy academy to not acknowledge this record, and if nothing else perhaps a lifetime achievement award.

Some shows are ticketed, but still remain free. Depending on the hype around the artist is whether or not they do tickets. I don't see any mention of yet of having to obtain tickets for Stevie. I doubt that we will.

If I were you I would find a metered spot. Some meters do not go into effect until 9AM, at which time you can either decide to take off or pay the meter ($3/hour) if you want to hang around. But be careful because meter hours will vary depending on the avenue and block.

Alternatively you can hunt for a free street spot. But I do not know the street cleaning schedule on the Upper East Side. If you're lucky, the space may be good until 11AM, after which you have to move your car. Or if you're really, really lucky, you will find a space that you can stay in indefinitely. But residential street parking is a death sport on the Upper East Side/Upper West Side. I don't think I could stomach that kind of stress.

Thanks. I've had some luck on the weekends before, but that is during normal hours. I would go to a lot if i knew one that was open. Should be an adventure to say the least. I wish i lived closer to better mass transit. I live 2 miles from NYC yet I can't get there unless I drive myself or take a ferry between commuting hours!!

Zero, zip, nada. I do think a soundcheck is a strong possibility; at the Today Show taping in 2005, Sharon sang "Landslide" solo for soundcheck. That was... weird.

Central Park has no pedestrian gates. So one could technically walk into the park 24 hours a day. However, the park is technically closed from 1-6AM, and anyone caught inside of the park will be issued a citation and/or summons. I would not be surprised if they even handcuffed you and carted your a$$ off to central booking. Given the shenanigans that have occurred in the park during the wee hours of the morning in the past, they take this stuff very, very seriously. Last Saturday there were NYPD manning the 69th St. and 72nd St. entrances.

Everyones different where sleep is concerned, but i would try to nap if you could. Even just 2-3 hours. Nothing worse than having that sand in your eyes feeling of tiredness.

Whatever you decide, have fun and keep us updated! :)

--She didn't do a full version of Stand Back. They picked up from the second verse, and stopped quickly. For Ghosts are Gone, they just played the riff.
--She did talk, especially during the soundcheck. Mainly about how early it was, etc. It was tricky to make out most what she said, but she announced, "This is like a picnic! ...Without the food." Lori tried to point out the food set up on the side for VIPs and the band, but Stevie couldn't understand her. Lori then started miming eating, and Stevie, still confused, exclaimed, "This is why sign language doesn't work!" (Because Stevie is opposed to miming?)

Oh and during the Lori interaction Grace mentions above, she brought back the Alice in Wonderland "Spoon" that she said during the Foxwoods show last summer. It was too cute.

Here's a quick blow by blow as I don't think this has been covered yet.

Us few and proud ledgies mostly arrived between 3-4am and waited outside Central Park until we were led to the front of the gates. At about 615 or so, they let us in and since we were most of the first 15 in line, we basically got the front and center of the front barricade. For about the next 30 minutes or so the roadies and whoever else finished putting the final touches and tunings and then at 7am the producer (i'm guessing) for this show gave us a quick rundown of how it would all go timewise and then after that Stevie's entire band, minus her, came out to start their soundchecks. Sharon went back and forth between her mike and Stevie's and the band played and Sharon sang lead vocals and they ran through Landslide, FWIW and Rhiannon. We all said hi to Lori and Sharon and applauded and they were cute and gracious.

I can't remember exactly what time, let's say around 730, Stevie came out and ran through the songs I just mentioned plus about 1/3 of Stand Back and the 15 second clip of GAG. She looked absolutely amazing and when she came out she literally looked like she just woke up and I think she lead off to us with...well I"ve been up all night, it's so early..or somethign like that. But within minutes she was singing and running through a soundcheck with the full band so we basically saw the concert in almost it's entirety before 8pm. Granted some of the songs were abbreviated.

The band left the stage just before 8 and for the next 20-25 minutes we watched the GMA crew on and off and just waited for the segment at 830. Finally they all came back out and I haven't watched the playback yet, but they started halfway through SB and then she sang FWIW and Landslide (maybe in the reverse order, I honestly can't remember!) and then finished up with Rhiannon...which was abbreviated.

Oh, at one point there was a lot of down time and Jimmy and Carlos and maybe Waddy were just playing some beats and Stevie was just dancing with her tambo. It was cute. I think i got a few seconds of it on video. I"ll post that and some other pictures I got later..some actually turned out great...after a much needed nap.

And you probably saw her brief interview with Lara. She asked her about the people she worked with on IYD and she mentioned Mike, Lindsey and Dave and then that's where she said how she worked with all the handsome men. (Not touching that one...)

I was front and center in the first row and all the sleep deprivation was worth every second I got to spend with Ledgies I've met before and then those of you I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time today! Looking forward to the shows this week with all of you!

There was a reason why I had my hands held up in front of my face! Me no likey HD photography after getting no sleep.

To be honest, I had low expectations going in due to the less-than-phenomenal experience I had at the Today Show in 2005. This was totally different. For one thing, the Ledge crew there was excellent. Secondly, what a beautiful morning in a beautiful surrounding! And we got to see so much more action that wasn't aired on TV. The production rehearsal was fascinating, and I got the whole thing on video! (I hope). I shall upload shortly... Stevie was obviously in a chatty, happy mood and so gracious too!

So envious, though happy to hear everyone had a great time. The weather looked perfect (calm before the storm :() & everyone looked great in HD (snapped a few screen captures I'd best keep under wraps:p). And I can't believe Stevie said she'd been up all night. WTH...though she does tend to exaggerate practically everything!! Anyhoo, it looked like you guys were pretty much front and center  looking forward to your video footage of all the goodies we missed (btw shouldn't you be taking a nap & preparing to evacuate by noon tomorrow?)

Wow, her performance sounds wonderful. I'm unfortunately not able to watch it until next week. I had my mom record it for me, so when I go home to visit next week, I can watch it. But reading everyone's posts is making me excited to see it.

This is great & she obviously realizes it. She's a force with a very determined constitution when she wants. Stevie's been very focused on getting word out on her new record to as many people as possible. She's been working her butt off and it seems to be paying off sales-wise (IYD along with all her & FM's catalog) slowly but steadily. I'd bet by years end IYD in the US exceeds 200K (It's gotta already exceed that WW) and that would be a quite a feather in her cap, compared to her peers in the same age group & genre in this day.

I noticed the diamonds in Chicago too. When she turned to do the "i hear you in the morning" part, she stepped so close to the edge of the stage that she nearly stepped on our fingers!

I have been up front row and seen with her platform boots the diamonds noticed back on the say you will tour in 2003 they are beautiful on her always.

I agree. When did she start the hand motions? Has this been going on for years?

Most of them aren't too bad except for the "tear" and the driving. But they are distracting. Waddy, can't you do something?

Kudos to the lighting crew. She looked stunning.

i think she's been gesturing for years, since at least 1981 - in one of her gold dust woman performance when she sang about getting your silver spoon and digging your grave, she would do a grave-digging mime.

2. Noticing that since she's got a booty on her, that her skirt is waaay shorter in the back! glad I'm not the only one going thru that!
3. Her "diva" coming out a bit by telling Lori "ok well u just keep singing, we're just gonna stop" lol!
4. Winning the tshirt for the group
5. Going to get junkfood with Grace that was actually HEALTHY FOR YOU!!!!!!
6. "They ate walking us in"
7. "Internet piravcy" and Ed leading the "wooo"
8. Hanging with beautiful ledgies since 3am!!!!!
9. Grace giving me the most hated news for my shipper soul!!!!
10. Applauding for Lori and when Sharon comes out I look around and say, "are we not happy to see Sharon?" It took a good minute for someone to say "SHARON WOOOO!"

I actually think her hand motions are super cute! They always make me smile...they may be a bit much but I'm not sure I could watch FWIW without the hand motions except for maybe the music video ;). It would be a little disconcerting.

I'm so glad all the Ledgies had a good time! It seems like she was happy to be there this morning and looked like she was having a good time.

While I enjoyed the extended performance of "Rhiannon" I'm still upset that they couldn't have just showed the whole thing instead of having the cooking show on where the guest was trying to promote her own TV show the entire time. But I;m just glad that she has so much faith in both her and Lindsey's albums...such a good year for both of them:D!

Stevie Nicks Performs and Discusses Fleetwood Mac Reunion on ‘Good Morning America’

by: Billy Dukes Yesterday

Friday morning (Aug. 26) on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America,’ Fleetwood Mac‘s Stevie Nicks played a handful of songs and teased fans with her thoughts on a possible reunion with the band that first made her famous.

The singer shared ‘For What it’s Worth‘ from ‘In Your Dreams,’ her first new album in ten years, and also played the classic Mac hits ‘Rhiannon’ and ‘Landslide.’ This created a natural occasion for her to talk about a potential Fleetwood reunion. “It’s always in the wings,” Nicks told GMA (and a couple of thousand excited fans in attendance) about the possibility. “It’s like we who are in those kind of bands, those bands are always there.”

“And you never break up your band,” she adds with a stern look towards her interviewer. “That’s not a good idea, so you always have your band. Lindsey’s (Buckingham) just released a new record, I’ve got a new record. So when we follow that path to the end, then Fleetwood Mac is always there.”

Nicks’ performance of ‘For What it’s Worth’ was considerably more inspired than her rendition of the classic songs. The single was written after her tour with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Heartbreaker Mike Campbell helped her with the project (and played guitar during her GMA set), as did Buckingham and one-time Eurythmic Dave Stewart.

It took ten years for Nicks to release ‘In Your Dreams’ because record executives convinced her that piracy on the internet made recording new music as fruitless project. She believed them. “I did listen then, but I stopped listening about a year-and-a-half ago,” she says as fans begin applauding.

She realized that the audience members closest to her weren't the Landslide casual fan types.
