I have been searching everywhere for a copy of the Tusk show played at the Cow Palace in San Fran on 12/15/1979. They played 3 nights there. I can't find my ticket stub right now, but I'm almost positive it was the 15th.

It's distinctive because it's the show where they had to start Landslide over because Stevie either had no voice, or just flubbed it. Lindsey stepped up to the mic and said something like "sorry, sometimes these things happen" or something like that.

Does anyone know of a bootleg of that show??? I would be eternally grateful. It has particular meaning to me as I went with my very best friend when we were juniors in high school and she just recently passed away from cancer.

Thank you in advance.

Also, I have a very disorganized 1000+ Stevie and Fleetwood Mac song collection on Mediafire that I would be happy to dig through to find something for anyone needing something I might have.

Thanks again.

Hey, sorry I don't have that show, but I just wanted to say that I was at that show too. :) It was my first concert ever :) I remember the part about Stevie stopping during Landslide. The three shows they did at the Cow Palace were December 14, 15, and 16 1979 (I looked in the linear notes of the Fleetwood Mac Live CD but I'm sure there are other sources as well). I was in sophomore in high school :) I actually still have a t-shirt from that show :) I"m very sorry to hear about your friend and I hope that you find a copy of the show. Good luck.

Wow that's so crazy. I've never met anyone who was at that show in all these years as a fan!!
Besides the Landslide moment the other things that I'll never forget was a crazy hippie drug dealer selling everything under the sun out in the walk-around...like a Betty Boop cigarette vendor with a make shift "belly shelf" lol, also when Lindsey played So Afraid...the way the acoustics produced a certain echo on his solo just blew my little 16 year old mind....I've never heard it like that since.
Thanks for the reply

Because it was my first concert, and because it was Fleetwood Mac, it was a huge huge deal for me. One of my older brothers had to take me because I didn't have a license yet :) I just remember everything being so new, and back then with no internet you didn't know the setlists. I remember little things like Stevie squatting down during one of the songs and Christine coming up and playing acoustic guitar on Save Me a Place. I remember loving the encores (I think they were Blue Letter and Sisters of the Moon) and then my brother wanting to leave. I was sure they were going to close with Songbird so I tried to stall and finally Christine came back on and my brother was OK with staying to hear that final song too. Even with our crappy seats it was amazing. And back in those days, you were able to move down into better seats, so we did that midway during the show. :) Man, if I had been older and had more money and if I had known how amazing the Tusk tour was, I would have gone to all 3 nights :)
