Stevie, I love you dearly. With all my heart and soul. I really do. But your voice does not sound like it did 25 years ago. It still sounds good, yes. But not like 25 years ago. Which doesn't even make sense in the context of her statement, because she's only had a vocal coach for 15-ish years.

I have to laugh and roll my eyes every time Stevie says that her voice hasn't changed.

Is she really saying she's going to play 7 new songs on this tour?? Or does 7 really mean 5 and then dropping 2 after the first show?
I'd LOVE if she had 7 new songs in her set, but i can't imagine SA w/o LB.

She said it in another interview from today as well. Seems like she definitely intends on playing 7, initially at least. I guess whether they stay or not will depend on the reaction and if she still feels like its worth it.

Yes, I think the opening night audience will definitely get 7 new songs. And who knows, maybe there won't be a lot of attrition afterwards. She's already tested the songs at the Wiltern. She knows what works for her and the audience, so maybe she won't drop a lot of them as the tour progresses.

Me thinks Stevie reads my mind or my posts:
Stevie Nicks last week: "I remember when (Fleetwood Mac's) Rumours came out we went out and just did all those Rumours songs and just about got booed off the stage."
Me last week: "Yeah... that is why it went on to become the #1 selling album in the world soon thereafter. Believe me, I have been to many concerts, and while you cannot get into a new song as much since you don't know the words, seeing them live makes you love them more. You hear that song live and it gets stuck in your head, or a lyric from it catches your ear, so you run out and buy it so you can hear it again. It gives the song much more staying power in your mind than just hearing it in the middle of an album of new material. Hell, even songs that I am not so fond of become my favorites once I hear them live."
Stevie Nicks this week: "If I don't go out and play them, you hear them on the record if you get the record, but atleast if I come out and play them for you then you'll have them stuck in your head and you might go out and get this record!"

that is cool she is not cutting any song she did at the wiltern show she is she says in the interview she is doing 7 new songs from her new cd on the road awesome. She says 7 new songs she is also known to drop songs too as the tour goes on in the past hopefully she won't. her voice has changed a bit I want to say she sounded awesome last year at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods she was on the money i though and she was having a blast on the few shows she did last year while recording her new cd. some of the recent shows she did this year she did not sound like she usually does for some reason.
