Here is a link to some video footage I shot of the signing. Dani, Lindsay and Becca are in it briefly. I'm a little emotional at the end, but they are happy tears. :) Kim asked if I was sure I wanted to share that part of the video with you guys, and I said if anyone would understand, the Ledgies would.

HAHAHAHAHAHA my little freakout before she came out.... I really hope I don't make that slightly cross-eyed face on a normal basis.
Jamie, this video is so awesome -- definitely captures the excitement of the event. Thank you for recording our experience! Love listening to your recap too! I had similar emotions going through me on my drive home... I had seven hours to think about nothing but that experience, and every time I replayed my moments with Stevie back through my head, I started crying again.

I like that pic of you two.
Jamie, that vid is amazing. Very sweet, very emotional. I myself am a writing nut, and have yet to journal this whole experience. Partly because I have been very busy, partly because it still just hasn't sunk in yet. It sucks because everyday I'll prolly loose some minute detail, but agh (!!!!) can you believe we met her?! :]

awesome Jamie I know and understand that I had my same experience over 2 years ago at Stevie's first cd/dvd signing of the Soundstage Sessions cd and Live in Chicago dvd at the barnes and noble in nyc. It's like your pinching yourself in line while waiting to meet her to say is this for real and it is and will always be in your memory as the one of the best if not the best day in your life. I kept it too better than ask getting closer to meet her I really though I was going to break down in cry felt that way but I kept my cool and said what I wanted to say very quickly and she took my hand into hers and thanks me so much for coming down to meet her she is the absolute best. I never though I would meet her too and my dream came true too like the rest of us that were lucky to have met her and it's just so cool of her to do these signings I hope she does more in the big cities for everyone else who did not have an opturnity to meet her its a very special night no one can take that away from you. Awesome Jamie nice video you did so happy for you I know exactly what you mean and the rest of us fans who have met stevie like this or were lucky to go backstage at a show, I was so glad when she did it in NYC I live with in Hour of the city I live in CT was so lucky for her to be close enought to go too. Congrats again to you jamie on meeting Stevie and the rest of the crew who were there too.

Thanks! What's really kewl is I have the other poster (from the new CD promo when it 1st came out) in a very similar frame to the the left of this one with a much bigger print (not Stevie releated) with the same type frame in the middle. It all looks good together on my wall!

Looks great in GOLD! I still need to frame this one & the gorgeous TISL poster from 10 yrs ago! Don't know where I'll hang em'. I have most of my framed pictures of Stevie in a closet with bubble wrap. When we bought our latest home, I thought I may be getting a little old to be keeping a Stevie room (shrine) :o

so, i wanted to post my Amoeba/Stevie Nicks experience!
first things first: i'm sort of a "newb" in comparison to most of the folks here on this board, and probably in comparison to the majority of the other folks who were at the signing as well, but i discovered Stevie and Fleetwood Mac about umm... 9 weeks ago now?
i'd bought the 2 disc FM Best Of... when i was in college back in 2002 because I lived in a house of girls who just were bat-**** in love with FM and after buying it, for whatever reasons, I don't think I really listened to it, i just didn't get into it at the time.
anyhow, cut to the middle of June of 2011, and I'm now living in los angeles. I went to my parents house to visit, and my brother had placed my old CD's in the middle of my bedroom for me to clean or get rid of. the first CD on top of that pile was that "Best Of FM..." and me, being me, thought: "Oh! I should bring this back to my apartment and download it onto my external hard drive. One never knows when this music might come in handy..." and on my drive to my apartment, I started listening to it, and it's basically been obsession-ville ever since. when i say obsession-ville, btw, i mean that in the most intense (but not scary) way possible.
a week into my obsession, i saw on youtube this posting by SuperFleetwoodMac of the 1982 Mirage Tour of Sisters of the Moon(LaserDisc), and it was EPIC. i kept looking for more current performances of the song and couldn't find any, but it didn't really matter much because that performance was so awesome. i think i literally watched that performance at least once a day for WEEKS. told anyone who would listen to me talk about it, would show it to people (strangers, even). i mean, i couldn't believe that people rocked like that back then - she was so "tapped in" during that performance of that song, and it was just inspirational for me, and made me want to be as emotionally available in what *I* do.
anyhow, so of course, the signing happens, and i just had to be there. i met a bunch of awesome people, and one guy told me about this board, and it was actually really cool getting to obsess with people who shared my obsession.
when it was my turn to go and have her sign my CD, i'd had my post-it in the middle page with the 4 images of her, and Stevie says: "Well, looks like Kim knows what she wants!" and i replied: "I sure do!"
right before she started to sign my CD, i'd just really wanted to talk to her about that specific performance, and i knew of no slick way of bringing it up so i just blurted out: "I just want you to know that your 1982 performance of Sisters of the Moon from the Mirage Concert Tour absolutely blows my mind!"
she looked up from the CD at me and smiled, she then looked over at the girls to her left, and said "You know, it's funny that you mentioned that, because I did an interview with Jim Ladd a couple of days ago and he brought up thatexact performance of that song as well..."
"Really?" and of course, i'm hardcore freaking out because it's happening. we're talking about SOTM, and i'm dying inside because i'm just so thrilled.
"Yeah," she continued. "we were listening to the song, and it's a good one!"
"I know!" i replied.
"You know, I don't know why we don't do that song anymore..."
"Oh, why not? you totally should!" the idea of her performing that song live now? oh, holy ****!
"Well, some songs just fall out of rotation, you know?" She then finished signing my CD, and then doodles a little bit on the front of the CD cover, and hands it back to me. takes my hand in hers and very sincerely says "Thank you so much."
i curtsey, because how else does one respond to a queen? and said: "No, thank you! Absolutely, thank you!"
and then i left. the experience was more than i'd hoped for.
this was a rather long posting... hope i don't sound like a rambling fool! lol.

Thats such a cool little story!! It's so incredible that you for brought up "Sisters Of The Moon" with Stevie, esp. that definitive Mirage era HBO concert performance! That performance is pretty much legendary & is brought up quite a bit in the fan community. It's so intensely HOT and the passion conveyed in performances like it, and her music pretty much sums up why most of us fell hard for Stevie in the first place. Stevie fans have longed for FM to bring back "Sisters" to the set. Though I'm pretty confident she could never top that performance... ever, still we'd all love to see that song back in the set. So maybe, just maybe you and Jim Ladd have planted the little seed. Oh, and the Mirage concert tour in 82' was the last time SOTM was performed live in concert. Unfortunately, It's been in retirement almost 30 years.
Welcome to the room....Kim:wavey:

thank you christopher! i'm so glad to know i'm not the only one who's obsessed with that performance! i had a feeling i wouldn't be, but again, the majority of the people i talk to about SN/FM and SOTM have all been people who aren't very familiar with them with the exception of just them/her being pop culture icons.
i think my head would explode (from joy) if she brought it back! seriously!

Mick said he lobbied for SOTM didn't he? I think that I might have been during the SYW tour break. I'm not sure.
Anyway, I think Stevie must have a pretty good idea of why they don't do it anymore, because they've probably discussed it.

that's awesome. and yes, superfleetwoodmac -- had his posting of that LaserDisc version of SOTM that i watched obsessively not existed (along with that insane amount of Stevie/FM videos on youtube) i probably wouldn't have gone to the signing, and i probably wouldn't have become the girl who just spent over $70 on FM and SN albums on itunes last night.
now when's that buckingham nicks stuff gonna be available?

Well on SYW she did Beautiful Child which was on Tusk and on Unleashed she did Storms which was also on Tusk, so maybe, just maybe in 2012/2013 she will walk out onstage and say, "After 30 years, I decided this song NEEDS to be back in the set! It's a song we like to call Sisters of the Moon..."

K...but did she? I honestly don't know  its all good ...;)
I have a recorded interview with her somewhere from back in the late 70s or so where she says the chorus was hers from a song of her own "if you don't love me now, you will never love me again" and the band song didn't have a chorus, and Lindsey said to her, Can we take that chorus? and she replied, "well, you're totally ruining my song because you're taking the chorus out of it" and then added something like, "Lindsey didn't really care" and so "that's how that got into the song"
