In 2004, I used to think Adam Levine was so hot, until I first saw his chest tattoo, making me spit up my beer in revulsion.
So, I don't know any of their music after 2004. Hope Stevie sings on some good ones!

I met them last summer and I was so nervous he pulled the back of my shirt so that I would get in closer for the group shot and put he arm around my shoulder. I almost died! I also felt like one of the band!

That's a cold, hard FACT. LAWD, THAT MAN.
so did maroon 5 info come from just a single person tweet? he later tweeted this:
@MrPseudonymous: Like, 7 random people RT'd this. LOL RT @MrPseudonymous: Stevie Nicks has just joined Maroon 5 on stage.

EDIT: additional tweets from at least 2 more people appeared stating SN will be on stage later.

From the first note, she does seem really loud in this particular performance, doesn't she? It's like a fourth grader at a music recital who's been told to project her voice for Grandma in the back row. "IS LOVE SOO FRAA-JUHLLL"
I won't complain if she keeps L&L in the set for her tour. Say what you will about Rod, at least he got her to bring it back to concert life. Maybe she'll perform it with the guy from The Voice, her opening act. Then again, the White Wing Dove version with just her, Lori, & Sharon is beautiful.
I don't hate the sunglasses, but I hope they don't stay. Stevie, you have such pretty, dark eyes. I understand if the lights bother them, but if you're wearing the glasses just for the look, please ditch them.

Nope. Stevie does indeed shout her way through. The comparison to a fourth grader screeching for grandma is unfortunately apt.

True, she is yelling... BUT she hits every note from the original recording, and quite well and on-key. Kudos to her for belting it out and not saving her voice for a whole set. Besides, I don't think she CAN sing those same notes in a low quiet voice anymore with the same quality we heard here.

Hmm. My adobe Photoshope is broken! I was going to create a Levine Nicks album cover like the original Buckingham Nicks cover using these two source scans....
http://style.popcrunch.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Adam-Levine-Naked.jpg
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_hbskiPt1Ntw/S7liiozL_NI/AAAAAAAAAbI/PlibEi6vJMc/s1600/WAVE+071.jpg
Maybe someone here can create it and post it? Then once someone comes up with a high quality MP3 we can use it as the "album cover" in iTunes!
And... if you do a search for "Adam Levine naked" (I SWEAR i only did that to find these shots I had heard of... no REALLY) you can find a high quality version of this one... which we can use to make "young" stevie look like she is grabbing Adam's manboob. It also works better since his head and body position match lindsey's better.

Wow. She is giving it her all. It always amazes me that she challeneges her voice when she is a "supporting act"....like here...and on the Tom Petty Tour, but seems to be safer on her solo adventures.
Like Jake, I wouldn't be upset if this made the tour. I think it would be cool for her to have a different guest sing the male lead every night.

Actually this raises a thought about "Leather and Lace". This song, even though it was a top 10 hit, seems to have basically fallen off the radar since it was a hit single. Anyone have any thoughts about why that is?

She could have cataracts and might be waiting for them to be ready for surgery. I think there can be a sensitivity to light, and--even if not--she may not want people to see them.
I can't think of any other reason to wear tinted glasses on stage in dark venues.
But, then again, it's Stevie. I liked their voices together and am really happy she made Adam Levine's dream come true. He seems properly in awe of her majesty, too, which is always nice;-)

Medical reasons aside, wearing shades inside venues looks silly to me and hopefully she ditches those things soon. People want to see your eyes as an artist. And about Adam Levine, I'm never really for tatted up people but something about that man exudes sex  and so sexy. I always assumed he was bi or simply liked both but to hear him talk on The Voice, he came off as rather homophobic or anti-male and making a point. Either way he's a beautiful man.

That was incredible! I am so glad that they were able to duet, particularly on that song:D!! It totally made my morning!! Stevie sounds so great and while I do think she was projecting a lot she sounded so good that I didn't really care! Adam L. looked stunning and sounded great. wouldn't it be wonderful if she did this? L&L is a definite crowd pleaser, even among non Stevie diehard audiences. It would make a wonderful replacement for Landslide, which seriously needs to be given an extended vacation. And Sharon and Lori need a few minutes in the spotlight again.

I'm going to disagree with some people and say that she looked really good and sounded great. She was into the song. I'm really happy Adam champions her. She needs to champion Leather like she did Landslide. Lots of people have used that as their wedding songs. It's a beloved song that many people consider one of her best.

I meant that she was surprisingly loud - louder than she needed to be, even drowning out Adam in places (oops, this is Stevie, I mean drownding), presumably out of sheer enthusiasm. But no, her singing did not sound bad at all, it just struck me as funny, like she's suddenly thinking she's Ethel Merman or something. (Maybe if they remake Airplane she can play the downed officer who thinks he's Stevie Nicks.)

Well that's what I meant. I was saying for (me) it is. People can do what they want to their own bodies. I like "some" tats if they look right and in moderation like I said, although I personally will never get one. With so many people getting them today I have to agree with what I read somewhere once, if you wanna be unique and different today, don't get one. ;)

A few years ago I was having dinner with my sister and a male friend of hers who is our ages (30's) and after we parted later I asked her why he was wearing a long sleeved shirt and she said he was embarrassed at some of the stupid choices he made in his 20's of covering his arms in tat's and now ashamed of them. So tattoo's do affect some people later in life I think when you're wishing they were not there anymore. That's why I hate to see some people go covering up their beautiful skin and bodies. But it's just me.

And by tramp stamp I assume you mean a tattoo on the middle lower back? I have a tattoo there and I am not trash and never have been. And I don't regret it. I only have two tattoos and I chose the spots for them so that they can only be seen when I'm in a bathing suit. I wanted to make sure that I chose locations that were concealed because I'm an attorney and did not want them to negatively impact my career nor did I want them to show when I got dressed up in a strapless or backless dress.
I don't regret either of my tattoos and would consider getting another in a concealed location. So, since I don't regret it, does that make me trash, AnthonyMI? I think not.

Funny, I heard it on the radio and was a little bit surprised because you don't even hear it in public a lot anymore. Of course, it takes more care to perform than SDMHA does and I don't blame her for not wanting to do it with Rod, but Chris Isaak would have made a very nice parter on this song, I think.

When it comes to women especially, I think you lose looking sensual and sexy/ladylike in a nice gown or dress when you're covered up in tats. But again that's just me. Take Stevie here, her nice bare skin spoke sexiness for itself and was all she needed to stand out when showing off those arms and shoulders. You don't need tattoo's and all that just to stand out. Sometimes bare skin is all you need and looks beautiful. :)

Adam Levine Finally Duets with Stevie Nicks: Watch
by Jeff Benjamin, N.Y. | July 26, 2011 5:55 EDT

Throughout his mentoring time on "The Voice," Adam Levine made sure there were no doubts about his admiration for the legendary Stevie Nicks. His dream seemed to finally come to fruition as he brought out the legendary singer at Maroon 5's Hollywood Bowl show last night (July 25).
In "The Voice" battle round episodes, Levine paired up Casey Weston and Tim Mahoney to compete on Don Henley and Stevie's classic duet "Leather and Lace." In the finale, Levine got his Nicks fix when his contestant, eventual champion Javier Colon, performed Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" with Stevie. The performance elicited tears from the Maroon 5 frontman, who told Colon, "Stevie's one of my heroes, and now you're one of my heroes because you just sang with her."
It looks like Levine finally reached his aspiration when the legend herself was brought out as a special guest at last night's Maroon 5 show. In a pair of sunglasses and a black ensemble, Nicks confidently belted her opening section of "Leather and Lace" to the screams of the audience.
"This is one of those moments where you don't actually realize what you're doing until you do it," Levine said to preface the performance. "What I'd like to do is sing this next song with one of my favorite artists of all-time, and I'm sure one of yours too, God do I love this woman." The performance ended with a beaming Levine who ended bowing to his idol.
Medical reasons aside, wearing shades inside venues looks silly to me and hopefully she ditches those things soon. People want to see your eyes as an artist. And about Adam Levine, I'm never really for tatted up people but something about that man exudes sex  and so sexy. Yeah, I got to agree about wearing shades inside too, unless the lights get to your eyes or something. And I love Maroon 5. I've seen them twice live. I would have loved to have seen this show. I'm not one for a lot of tattoos either, but I still think Adam is hot. Stevie sounded pretty good & loud.

This is a Los Angeles Weekly review, By Daniel Kohn Tue., Jul. 26 2011. It calls Stevie one of the pioneers of the "mom movement." What?!
http://blogs.laweekly.com/westcoastsound/2011/07/maroon_5_hollywood_bowl_72511.php
Maroon 5
Hollywood Bowl
7/25/11
Better than ... Sitting at home on a beautiful Monday night
"C'mon, everyone stand up and sing. This is L.A., don't be too cool, I'm from here and I invented too cool," Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine yelled to the sold-out Hollywood Bowl crowd. Levine and company plowed through a set of mom-rock (read: soft, pop-friendly, radio-driven rock) featuring many of the band's greatest hits, along with a few surprises sprinkled in.
The band easily won over the crowd during their 75-minute set. Levine was comfortable on stage throughout the gig; it seemed to help that the majority of the crowd appeared to be women. The only men present presumably were dragged there by their wives, who had ditched the mom jeans and kids for a wild night out rockin'.
Maroon 5 does well with the ladies largely due to their handsome front man. Throughout the night, he said it was "a dream to play the Hollywood Bowl." However, if this were true, you'd figure Levine wouldn't show up looking like he just came out of the Sports Club LA locker room (or perhaps channeling his inner George Costanza). Sporting a red cut-off t-shirt and what appeared to be Puma snap pants, Levine looked far from the rock star that the women came for.
You have to hand it to the co-star of NBC's hit show The Voice--he really knows how to work a crowd. He sounded terrific onstage, maybe better than on album. But this brings us to one of the evening's issues: stagnant stage presence of everyone not named Adam Levine. He did his best to try to get his bandmates involved, but they might as well have been marionettes up there, not really doing much of anything and letting Levine carry the show.
Nonetheless, there were plenty of highlights. First, in a business-savvy and crowd-pleasing move, Levine capitalized on his connections from his appearance on The Voice, pulling Voice winner Javier Colon onstage to nail a terrific version of Michael Jackson's "Man in The Mirror" that would have made MJ proud. Colon was as cool as the beautiful Hollywood night, and like a good mentor Levine steered him through the track while still allowing Colon a chance to shine. And the youngster did exactly that, proving that maybe The Voice has some legs for producing legitimate talent that aren't novelty acts and/or one and done musicians (yes, American Idol, I'm looking at you).
One of the pioneers in the mom-rock movement took to the stage when Stevie Nicks appeared during the first song of the encore, much to the delight of the crowd. "Leather & Lace" sounded terrific, almost as good as the original with Don Henley. The Fleetwood Mac singer doesn't sound like she used to, however, so again, Levine had to carry the song.
The most genuine moment of the evening came during set closer "To The Ladies," when Levine invited the gal who was apparently the band's number one fan -- a lady named Heather -- on stage. It was nice to see the band show appreciation to standout members of their core contingency.
Personal Bias: I am not a mom.
Crowd: Said moms and beleaguered spouses, who presumably harbored hopes that a night of Maroon 5 would lead to a night of getting some later.
Random Notebook Dump:Levine really wore warm-up pants on stage..

Age has taken away the nimble nuances and super high notes of her voice as it was 30-something years ago. Yet, this is her voice now, and it's equally stunning. It has a seasoned assertiveness that seems to convey "I've been there, I've done that, and I'm taking charge!"
It's a very smart move for her to make these kind of appearances. It's great promotion, and it exposes her to a market that was only mildly familiar with her, or not aware of her at all. And powerful performances like this can't fail to impress.

Actually this raises a thought about "Leather and Lace". This song, even though it was a top 10 hit, seems to have basically fallen off the radar since it was a hit single. Anyone have any thoughts about why that is?
You mean, because it wasn't performed to death? That's a good thing. It has not lost it's iconic status. I still hear it on the radio, in the rare occasions that I listen to the radio.

From what I heard, Levine didn't carry the song, Stevie did!

Here's a video with a really good picture, but the sound isn't that great because it has a lot of audience singing haha.
That's why I was somewhat dissapointed about the audio of her recent Wilton show. The audience's way-off-key vocals dominate some of the songs, nearly turning them into a cringe-worthy middle school performance.

Wow she so ruled on that performance. That guy needs a reality check for sure...She is in peak form right now. She has her mojo back for sure. If she doesn't get a grammy it will be a crime. I also think she deserves to be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame as a solo artist. No female from that era has had that level of success and longevity. She is kind of unique to her timespace.

Adam who? :p
Singing, shouting, yelling, over-kill, whatever you want to call it I effin love it and wish only she would sing like that all the time! Cheers to my darling, that just made my week and honestly it never even occurred to me she was being especially loud, I just heard love.
I couldn't agree more! Great performance. Basically the soundboard techs are controlling the mic volumes anyways. She sung it with great confidence. I loved it.
I'd like to see her in a different style of shades though. Debbie Harry generally starts Blondie shows wearing cool looking shades.

When she said "take from me my lace" and outstretched her hand, he should have pulled off her glove. If he was able to get it off (smoothly) and then hold it to his lips, that would have been really sexy.

Bringing out guests proved to be the best way for Maroon 5 to step it up and Levine showed just how seasoned he’s become during a live duet of Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror” with The Voice winner Javier Colon. Kicking off the encore was a guest undeniably worthy of the word “special:” Stevie Nicks, who performed a moving “Leather and Lace” with Levine skillfully backing her vocals and sharing the melody.
Long review of the entire concert, I just pasted the Stevie part: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/maroon-5-train-at-hollywood-215906

Adam Levine and Stevie Nicks sing 'Leather and Lace' at the Hollywood Bowl:

Adam Levine and Stevie Nicks: lovers forever, face to face!
During a Maroon 5 show at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl on Monday night, the Fleetwood Mac icon joined the Voice judge on stage for a surprise duet of “Leather and Lace,” Nicks’ 1981 hit with Don Henley.
“This is one of those moments where you don’t actually realize what you’re doing until you do it,” Levine said before bringing Nicks on stage. “What I’d like to do is sing this next song with one of my favorite artists of all time, and I’m sure one of yours too, God, do I love this woman.” And just in case you didn’t believe him, he concluded the performance by going down on his knees and prostrating himself in front of her.
Ever the superfan, Levine spent the last season of The Voice praising his little white-winged dove. He paired contestants Casey Weston and Tim Mahoney on “Leather and Lace,” and later gushed when season champion Javier Colon invited Nicks herself on stage for a version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” a song that’s already a well-documented favorite of Smashing Pumpkins, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the cast of Glee. Shedding actual tears, Levine told Colon, “Stevie’s one of my heroes, and now you’re one of my heroes because you just sang with her.”
Now, the dude’s gonna be his own hero. Watch him live his dream below (same Youtube clip we've all seen is posted at the link):
Nicks sure loves her reality TV singers, and it’s not just The Voice on her Tivo queue. Today we learned that America’s Got Talent winner Michael Grimm will join her on tour during the month of August. Sorry, Levine, you’ll just have to share her.

But I would also like to say that the Wilson Sisters (Heart, a Band) are the only other strong confessional singer songwriter rock and rollers from the tail end of the seventies chic's that kick ass like mama does still out there touring and putting out new records. Why Heart hasn't been inducted is a mystery to me, its BS. ok i'm done with my rant....i'm not sucking up just stating fact...heartboy

HE'S SO HOT, IS 63 BEYOND COUGAR AGE?? SHE PROBABLY COULD USE A GOOD "SEND-OFF" BEFORE HER TOUR NEXT MONTH. WONDER IF HE SEE'S HER AS A WISE MOTHERLY FIGURE OR THAT HOT SEXY ROCK AND ROLLER HE DREAMED ABOUT IN HIS TEENS? THEY ASKED HIM AFTER THE VOICE WHAT MADE OLDER WOMEN SEXY AND HE SAID "THEY KNOW WHAT THEY WANT"....HUH? NOT TOO SURE MAMA WANTS IT ANYMORE...WHAT IS UP WITH THAT???

Actually she sounds exactly like the recording from 30 years ago.
Carry the song? He sang a verse and was barely audible in the choruses.
This guy is a numbnut windbag. Stevie sounded flawless.
Levine is hot, but he really should lose those douchey sweat pants.
Preferably while onstage.

^ha! They are douchey. I was wondering while I watched wtf kind of pants he was wearing and thought surely he was nit wearing track pants with stripes down the side.

I'm starting to wonder if Stevie's had some of that 'voice rehabilitation' thing people were saying Whitney was going to, her voice is certainly sounding a lot better this year than it has for awhile. I really loved that performance of Leather and Lace, although her being super-loud at the start just makes me giggle. Rather badly.

Something. It certainly makes me wonder where she's been hiding that voice since the mid 90's.
