I'm guessing the engineers. But I have no idea who they are.

As soon as I heard these tapes, I knew that was going to be the stand out. My other favorite is when Stevie sings 'Imperial guardian angel' at the fade out of vocal alternate 1. So Stevie.

Thank you so much for sharing these! I love the symphonic version of HAEWAFY!:xoxo:

GAH! I want to listen to all of these but HAEWAFY is such an emotional song for me & I haven't listened to it in years. Maybe sometime when I feel like having a good cry.

The credit for that goes to Dark Angel. There was so much high end on the HAEWAFY cassette I was worried about how it would transfer. It sounds amazing. The Imperial Hotel cassette is so crisp. I only played it a few times because I didn't want the tape to degrade in any way.

Thanks to Chris & Dark Angel.

Well thank you to both of you. I can't stop listening to these. :)

[Macfanforever]

Thank you. also thanks goes out to Dark Angel for all the work put into transfering the tapes to share with us.

[Dark Angel]

I'm just glad they turned out okay! :) I had to experiment a bit with the line-in levels to get the high end down, but it worked...thankfully.

Total thread necro...but I am hoping you will see this. I am wondering why the last file is m4a (Apple lossless audio) instead of WAV like the others. No complaints - just wondering if there is a story here.

I've been backing up files, checking for quality, creating an archive, and this is one of the items on my "research this one" list.

Thank you!!

Thank you, Christopher. I don't know why, but it really bugged me that they didn't match. I actually burned them all to CD this morning so I could make a single lossless image of the disc for storage, but when I get home I'll redo it with this new file (assuming there's no loss of quality). Thanks again!
