Ledgie meetup for Red Rocks

OK people, the Red Rocks show is less than a month away. :blob2: Time to start planning a party at my place. :woohoo: We're up in the hills at Bailey, Co. and have plenty of room in case you have too much fun. We don't have anything planned yet, so what do you want to do? All Ledgies are welcome.:wavey:

They don't have a problem with bringing beverages in to the park (at least not the last time I was there) so I'll probably have a few before the show. There were several people there who had turned the beds of their pick ups into coolers and were selling beer/maragaritas/etc. There were also people selling special brownies and other stuff.

DENVER - Stevie Nicks is known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and being a member of the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.

However, that's in the past and now Nicks is back on tour with her new album called "In Your Dreams." The album features several new hits, as well as some of her greatest hits.

She sat down with a 9NEWS reporter Friday morning to talk about coming back to Red Rocks.

"I performed my most favorite filmed show from 1985, live at Red Rocks, which has a lot of memories for me," Nicks said.

She earned a Grammy Award nomination for her live performance. Red Rocks also hits close to home for Nicks as she has many relatives that live in Colorado.

"When I'm at Red Rocks, and I'm not on that stage, I feel all of those relatives there," Nicks said.

Although she's already an accomplished artist, Nick's isn't looking at the past, but toward the future.

"This is going to be a very different show; the new songs are weeded in amongst the new songs," Nicks said. "I'm really excited about it because the new record is really important to me and I am willing to take risks to take it to the people."

Nicks will be performing at 8 p.m. on Aug. 9.

I am sitting in O'Hare airport with the family right now. One of our flights got cancelled so we are really on a delay. We won't be getting into Denver until 11:45pm which is really 1:45am for us! I think we have an hour's drive to the resort after that. SIGH.

Ha! I was always taught in school to drink where the water was rushing over rocks, so I did that. So cool and refreshing! I assumed it was all pure glacier melt and that animals were courteous enough not to do their business in the stream. Anyway, I'm alive (although I did seriously consider the possibility that I might freeze to death overnight if I didn't find my way back to civilization). :eek:

There's a breakfast place somewhere downtown (I think) that Al and Jimmy were raving about on Facebook - it's called Snooze.

Snooze is -awesome-. It can be hard to get a table because there is usually a line down the street during business hours.

The amphitheatre area will be closed and inaccessible after lunch, until showtime.
