As I am wont to do, I do Stevie searches all the time. A few years ago, I came across this listing on IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108189/
Now, on other movies that have Stevie's songs on the soundtrack or in the movie, they list her as "performer", but here it lists "Stevie Nicks as Herself".
A Song for You (1993)
Twenty one year old Donny O'Brien, a recent college graduate, dreams of moving to Los Angeles to pursue a songwriting career... See full summary »
Director: Ken Martin
Writers: James Duff, Ken Martin (story)
Stars: Christopher Thornton, Mark Ruffalo and Kathleen Noone
Cast overview:
Christopher Thornton ... Donny O'Brien
Mark Ruffalo ... Gus Davison
Kathleen Noone ... Mrs. O'Brien
Raye Birk ... Uncle Sal
Stevie Nicks ... Herself
Storyline
Twenty one year old Donny O'Brien, a recent college graduate, dreams of moving to Los Angeles to pursue a songwriting career. Only one thing stands in his way: an inability to confront the guilt associated with a car accident that left his mother mentally handicapped for the rest of her life. This is the story of how Donny comes to deal with his conflict and the unexpected wisdom he gains - both from his mother and his struggle to write a song for her.
Music Department
Stevie Nicks .... composer: theme music
????????
Does Stevie actually APPEAR in this movie? Was it ever released? Years ago, I wrote both Kathleen Noone and Mark Ruffalo about this film, but neither answered me. Does Stevie have something to do with the lead character writing a song? What song of Stevie's that she wrote is the "theme music"??????? A new one she wrote, or some old one used in the film?
IMDB has a Tusk-era Stevie photo in their credits (???).
If this is an old topic, I'm sorry for wasting precious bandwidth.
