This is SO VERY EXCELLENT. :blob2::blob1:
She'd best announce some UK tour dates!! Although I did hear it through the grape vine she's planning to play Shepherds Bush Empire later this year

Most of the time, there's no where I'd rather live than New York City.
When I hear about Kate Bush almost overtaking Adele and Stevie at #1 for pre-orders, London begins to sound awfully enticing.
Fantastic news.

I knew Kate had been huge in England once and for quite awhile but Stevie never really was outside of Fleetwood Mac so this is great .Hopefully she will debut in the top 5.

has anyone else noticed that she is doing a ton of press there, I can't remember when she has done soo much press overseas.

See, who says Stevie doesn't know how to market herself?! She uses liner notes to thank England for its mists, thanks a guy for being Scottish, and - BOOM! - 22 years later, the UK audience adores her. ;)

I've noticed, because her promotion has been noticeABLE, which has totally shocked me. Having wished for years that people here would care more about her solo work, I've never ever seen her name on so many BBC radio shows and articles, or so many British national newspapers. Even a friend who hates her music and voice has said "Why the hell is everyone going on about Stevie Nicks at the moment?!" It's a GOOD year for Stevie in the U.K!

Agreed. It's completely without precedent, for her. That's why you guys who rip into her for telling the same old stories over here that she tells over there are missing the point: 99.99% of people in the UK have never heard them.
But seriously, guys, she's everywhere right now. The BBC has become the SNBC. It's so cool, and she's obviously still got a real cachet with broadcasters of a certain age, judging by the DJs' twitter feeds.
Good times!

From your keyboard to Stevie's ears! I didn't get tix for Hard Rock Calling because it clashes with a family wedding, but I so hope she'll do a couple of gigs here later in the year with Dave. Maybe stopping off en route to Oz? Pleeeeeeeeeeease, Stevie!!:wavey:

It's probably not helping Beyoncé that her album leaked, and it's not that fantastic. Hurray for Stevie though! I've pre-ordered my copy from HMV, so I can finally play IYD in the car. I'd love for her to do well in the UK.

This is great news. I hope that if she does go top 10 with her album that she actually tours it over here this year. I'm going to be a little pissed if the album charts high after so much promotion and she still doesn't play at least one solo show in London (besides this Hyde Park gig) or a couple around the UK this year in support for the new album. It's been too long since her last solo shows here. She probably could have squeezed in a couple in the time she's been over here already. Fingers crossed.

I forgot about it being Glastonbury weekend..the following week the ENTIRE UK chart will be influenced by the artists who played that festival. Considering she's not playing Glasto..she doesn't stand as much of a chance of having a high placing on the album chart, sadly.
