I have a couple...

She was so innocent (but so forgiven due to her unsung acts of charity and love for people) On the Tonight Show with Sheryl Crow in 2001. Leno asked the 2 friends, these women a few questions to see how they pair as friends.

Leno: Cash or Credit?
Stevie: Cash...I don't like to pay later.
Crow: Credit..I'm all about debt.
Leno: You are in the market and they say, Paper or Plastic?
Stevie: I would say Cash. I always pay Cash
Crow: You don't go to the market...
Leno: Stevie...how do you get food and stuff?
Stevie: I send someone to the market.

This is just from memory but, you get the idea of how removed she is from some everday stuff.

The singing fish...
The fact that it was so corny...and everyone must have seen that type of thing before...but, apparently, she hasn't...
So her laughing hystrically over the fish...made me fall in love again.

Most recently...In her documentary previews when she puts her glasses on an African looking tribal mask...and she could hardly speak becasue she thought it was so funny...

Sorry 2 more.
When Steve, whoever he is was leaving Stevie's house off camera he yells to Stevie, "G'night Stevie" she put this voice on that myself and some of my friends use as well...she shrieked like an old Irish or Italian grandmother from the outskirts of Boston..."Night Stevie". This was on the doc as well.

Lastly, when I read the tiny little spot so hidden in the paper...She hired a caterer for Sept 11th Emergency workers...or anyone at ground zero. She handed them out herself with band members helping out.

Angel Ipods...

She never calls the press for putting a dime in an old mans tin cup.

She is very aware of the state of being that middle or poor people are in. But, she makes no excuses for not knowing what she doesn't know.

I love her for meeting charities like, Make A Wish...and others after a long day, traveling, a 2 hour show, only to get a min of shut eye before their flight....1 by 1, she showers them with affection...and how important they are. I've seen it.

Do you guys have these moments of..."oh no she didn't just do or say that...I love her"

Jim

Some of my favorites would have to be the walk that she does at the end of "Edge"...it is so sweet and so endearing that she is not afraid to come in contact with her fans like that. I also lover her kinda sorta sense of humor. She says something completely seriously but it is hysterical !! Also, how she never loses the spontaneity of her songs. You always feel as though she is singing them for the first time!! Love it!! :wavey:

It's so true...I forget sometimes how amazing it is that she's still around - recording, touring and just being "Stevie Nicks" in 2011. Considering the roads she has travelled it's nothing short of a miracle that she has not only survived but triumphed. Her life and her spirit are very inspiring!

I love unrehearsed Stevie when she says those things that just pop into her head! "Alice come back" and "spoon" from the last Connecticut show.

I love how eccentric she is and how unapologetic she is of her flighty nature. Alot of people, even if they're not famous, make you feel as though you would be judged and dismissed in their presence. But with Stevie, you just get the feeling that having an audience with her would be like having an audience with your own family member. I'd like to think that if I'd gotten a chance to meet her and befriend her we could at least go clothes shopping together because we seem to share the same tastes. We all know how much Stevie enjoys her shopping sprees.

Is that why she wears the same clothes everyday?

Naw, she's just counting her money when she looks at us. "$250.00, $500.00, $750.00, $1,000,00, $1,250.00 etc.

Well that certainly makes it much less endearing when I think about it that way ;)!

Btw, I totally agree with everyone that Stevie's survivor spirit is truly inspiring!! I look up to her...not necessarily wanting to be exactly like her (drug use and everything else) but the way that she has come out of it is truly amazing!! She has my complete respect and adoration

I love how she is true to her self, not going to do fads, she's going to do it her way. Her honesty and when she flashes her crooked smile.

Her complete self-absorption. A true Gemini.

I love how she probably can't remember what she had for dinner two nights ago but on occasion breaks out with a story from waaaay back in the day and attempts to retell in full, vivid color detail like it happened hours before. I'm sure her memory and the reality of what happened is just a wee bit off....by like a continent. But it's really cute watching her try to convince us it was what happened. :]

Unleashed Gypsy story anyone? Wasn't there some key part of the story she told wrong for most of the tour that LB finally called her out on at the final show? Not to mention that story went from a completely different intro to a modest length one to a full out 5 minute monologue as the tour progressed.

She always made a point to say that the drummer called her and asked her to join, but Lindsey said he was the one who called her

She'd been saying the drummer called her for decades though.

I was in Sky Habor Airport buying something in a bookshop and she was there...we spoke briefly...she was as funny and unpretensious as I had hoped..not a hint of makeup...shes the real deal...it appears that she knows who she is and understands that the choices she has made (good or bad) are hers and hers alone... she doesnt blame others and seems to understand that kindness is the best approach to life...i also love how she somehow still seperates her world from reality....wealth affords her that approach

Nah. When I said Thank You to her at the Edge walk in Vegas, and she looked me right in the eyes and said Thank YOU, inflecting on the "you"...it was genuine. It was a very special moment for me. Sweet person. And my husband was trying to tell her something and she leaned in so close to hear but couldn't. She grabbed both his hands with both of hers to try to hear him. Pretty cool that she trusted him to not pull her down, lol. Awesome! When I watch old videos of Edge walks in the past whre she hikes up her skirt and dives down into the audience to get as close as possible to her people (with her security freaking out) I think there was a glimmer of that happening in Vegas. I hope I can experience that again.

I'm sure she appreciated your low-approach, sans loud screams and overly gushing emotions. It can be very disconcerting when you find yourself in the presence of someone famous, especially if you're a huge fan.

I work annually at the Sundance Film Festival, but I'm not a huge movie buff. I've interacted with many famous people (or famous industry insiders), yet they are usually just "people" to me. Most of the time I don't even know who they are.( Some have a lot of attitude, but that behavior is not exclusive to the famous)

All said, I can't say I'd easily keep my composure if I ran into Stevie in a bookstore.

LOL I actually had to "check myself" before I approached her and say to myself..."if youre going to approach this woman...be cool" It was a four minute conversation...I wasnt going to ask for an autograph...she was going to new york and I was coming back from NewYork...it was brief chat and we did a line of coke on the back of a toilet in the airport restroom and said goodbye...lol just kidding! seriously she was sweet and EVERYTHING you would hope she would be- without an ounce of self centerness

That's exactly what i tried to do in 1980, to keep my composure in tacked when i unexpectedly met Stevie & the band.. i had 10 sec to tell myself, now please don't faint, stutter or make a fool of myself like zombieing out in-front of Stevie Nicks for C/SAKE lol... to my amazement i handled it pretty well, though i could feel my heart thumping a million miles an hr with excitement, my composure was on the verge of exploding at any second when i realized she was looking at me with those big brown eyes, she singled me out to be the spokes person of my group of 3 g/friends, she was really friendly & happy to do most of the talking:D. I remember & so glad i didnt ask, if she had time to check out this beautiful candle & jewelery shop across the road... lol true..

In the few times we met...this is what she does. That and little touches...cheeks hands...she and you are all alone to her...and right there and then is all that matters to her. Even in cocaine to klonopin transition ...more 88 to 92 where we spoke for a Hey...how've you bee? Or for an exchange about something. When we spoke in the late 80s about time, Landslide getting older and bolder, out of time BATB:angel:, SS time cast a spell on you...etc...and it was her and me...Glenn (I think) and party may as well just have disappeared. Long story...I save the complete thing to myself like a sworn secret. I just want to point out that era and how things must hav e really been for her...but for a guy that means nothing to her...she treated me like her best friend and confidant.
