They are disgusting. They are so blatantly crooked that they don't even wait until a presale before they show us their stash.
Not that I haven't used them before...just saying;-)

what kills me is how she B's&M's about internet piracy but ...

1200 dollars on a 200 dollar ticket .. let say 10 ticket $12,000.

for 20 shows $ 240,000.. money is being made .right down to the 80 plus dollars made on a 20 dollar ticket .... against the few cents per cd she gets .. I think the cut she gets from ticket brokers more than covers it

$175 + fees @ PNC = $201.

Epic failure ahead.

Only 4000 people in attendance in 2008. Just sayin'.

Really? I had no idea that's how it worked. I thought it was all under the table.

Ick.

I have paid a broker for front row, when I've travelled to a venue, but never those prices, that's for sure. And, right now, I'm not all that fussy about front row anymore.
It's definitely great but I'm not paying extra for it.

Especially when tickets are this high!

Clearly it was a conflict of interest, but I rather liked it when Ticket Master was selling VIP tickets, not because I wanted to give more money to TM who already rips us off unmercifully, but just because they were less expensive than Stub Hub's.

The artist also received a large portion of that money .

Man, I hate scalpers, legal or illegal.

Anyway, I thought I'd share this with you all. For Lindsey's Gift of Screws Tour I didn't buy tickets until 2 or 3 days before the show. It wasn't sold out at all. I got 4th or 5th row seats for slightly less than face value. Whoever had bought the tickets realized that the show wasn't sold out and wanted to sell them. In Stevie's case, the shows will probably sell out and this won't work, but you may want to try these sites a day or two before the show that you want to go to, just to check.

I highly doubt it. I think she'll be looking at half empty arenas all over the country.

Totally agree...you can now choose your seats on the LiveNation presales; not there's anything worth buying now.

with most show in the $200's .. i doubt it too ...no one's going to jump at the $20 dollar seats

i buy alot of concert tickets on stubhub the day of the show because i can always get them for less than face value. i usually wait about 2-5 hours before the show to purchase but really if you can wait until right before the show starts you can really save a lot of money on tickets. most times stubhub can send them right to your email and you can print them or they can leave them at will call or at a place right by the venue.

Stubhub is owned by eBay, which also owns paypal. Almost any ticket you find on Stubhub, the same seller is also offering on eBay, which eBay supposedly disallows, yet happens all the time.

There's no doubt that Live Nation uses the secondary market to turn additional profit, and they do it with every single show they produce, so Stevie's management and Fleetwood Mac's have participated in this. Live Nation also owns Ticketmaster and a huge share of the artist management company that handles Stevie and FM.

There's a great new book about this whole process called “Ticket Masters: The Rise Of The Concert Industry and How The Public Got Scalped.”
