Interestingly, the writer mentions "Moonlight" as the album's opening track, just like the test pressing acetate. The sequencing was clearly changed at the last minute.

That picture is most definitely not from a Fleetwood Mac concert, nor is it from 1977 lol.
Is there something missing? The article seems to start in the middle of a sentence.

I feel like she's talking about money too much lately...yes Stevie, we know you're loaded but thanks for the reminder.

I'm pondering the original sequencing and wondering if maybe it should have stayed the way it was...Moonlight as the opener could be really amazing and I like Annabel Lee being later on in the set. I may have to do a playlist like this and see how it sounds...

I'm pretty sure this was the playlist we heard in San Diego but not positive. Jame??

Thanks for posting this!
Hmmmmm........interesting how the song set was changed. I like the one shown here. That picture of Stevie looks like around the Bella Donna era, reminds of what she used to wear doing Edge. I may be wrong, but I agree....doesn't look like 77 to me either.

Lmao i was just thinking that same thing. The only time i can ever remember Stevie discussing money was the " money in the clothes dryer " comment after joining FM. Nowadays she talks of money often, kind of odd isn't it ?

It is. The performance picture is a still taken from Stevie's infamous HBO White Winged Dove concert filmed Dec 13th 1981 at historic Saban Theatre formally known as The Wilshire Fox Theatre in Beverly Hills CA.

Hey thanks for posting this article. Did I read that right, she "pulled out a laptop" -- to show the footage of the recordings? Hm.

Actually, I think that picture is capturing her doing the tambo routine during "Gold and Braid."

She just comes out and says the Stewart tour was for money. Fill those coffers before you do anything else. We all knew it anyway and we said as much. But it's stil interesting to have her say it. Michele

I have actually been digging her talking very frankly about money lately. She is being totally honest and transparent. It's also kinda a way to thumb her nose at her naysayers. Especially the rock critics who have dogged her most of her career. She's reminding them she gets the last laugh... all the way to the bank! Plus, let's face it, the woman has paid her dues and earned it. She's given her entire adult life to the music biz. She's sacrificed lovers, friends, unborn children, etc to be a musician. Along the way, she's had a constant noisy contingent of folks who try to knock her down.
These days, Stevie is pretty much the last one standing. She has a right to revel in her life's body of work & the spoils of decades long war. Especially as woman, her longevity & standing is damned impressive. Rock has always been a boy's club. And she's proven she's just as tough as they are. I guess I've just always liked it when Stevie's bratty too. Yes, she's airy fairy, but don't think for a moment she couldn't totally take you out! :p

Yeah, this sequence was released a while back, and this has been the way I've been listening to IYD ever since. I think this sequencing is epic.

Now, now - don't be ridic... She doesn't even own a laptop! ;)
"At the moment she and Stewart are formulating a way to assemble the footage into some kind of film that will accompany the album"... Oops, too late!

There is an layout error at the beginning of the article, which as someone pointed outed in an earlier post. I've checked the page numbers, etc. and my best guess is that the first half of the lead was widowed on the pg. 2 - and therefore a separate layer - and wasn't merged with the background photo of Stevie and Dave. I extracted these pages from an electronic version of the magazine, rather than scan pages from a hard copy.
I can post the entire magazine if anyone wants it. It's 175 mb.

so do we know when the sequencing was changed? Since I saw this I've been obsessed with this "new" running order. I'm going to listen to it like this over the weekend and see what I think. At first I wasn't sure about Moonlight being the opener but the more I think about it, I think it was indeed the right choice. It somehow harkens back to "Bella Donna" opening Bella Donna. I'd love to know why Stevie decided against this. An album's opener is pretty important and to make such a drastic change from Moonlight to Secret Love is quite intriguing. As she always does, I'm sure Stevie had her reasons!!

Did anyone else note that the article said something about her being "bored with playing songs all the fans have heard before?" :P

Yes, and I was like, so are we!! Maybe that comment and the Wiltern show setlist gives us some hope in her changing it up.
I won't hold my breath though.
