I saw a preview of upcoming episodes on OWN tonight and it looks like one of them will feature the Show Oprah did with Stevie. They showed Stevie arriving at the studio. My DVR stopped recording before any dates were given though :mad: I would assume within the next couple of weeks.

I tuned in and watched and recorded the whole show.And bouncing back and forth with the Tony awards on CBS.I though they will have more a little bit more on the girls of rock.Oprah mentioned Tina Turner.I wish she got her on the show.Yes I was alittle confused when Stevie friend Mary was all happy meeting Oprah.I though she said the name Gayle ,

I guess the info I knew about Mary was wrong. I heard she was a college roommate of Stevie's but if they met in '76, that's out...

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the conversation Oprah was having with her exec. producer & the producers of the "Rock Goddesses" segment about O's seemingly little controversy about who the real Queen of Rock n Roll really is. Oprah seemed somewhat put off proclaiming Stevie Rock n Rolls reigning Queen. Apparently filmed fresh after taping Stevie's segment, Oprah went into the producers booth, while they changed the set for another performer, and was a little astonished that her producers didn't get Tina Turner, cause she's the real Queen of Rock n Roll:rolleyes:. One of the co-producers of the segment, who seemed to be a real Stevie fan & who pitched the idea of this type of show for @ 6 years, sat back silently while Oprah & her Exec. Prodecer Sheri Salata kept deliberating back and forth. Of course no one dared disagree with the OPRAH... or dare bring up a dissenting point of view. On a small positive note Oprah did say quickly that she could have spent the whole hour talking with her (Stevie).

Fun behind the scenes show I thought. It's understandable that Oprah thinks Tina Turner is the Queen of Rock because that's one of (her) favorite icons so it's ok she thinks that. I think the one producer lady on Oprah's staff was just as excited as we were that Stevie and the rest were finally on the show, so that was cool.
