Does anyone have any info on this bootleg? I remember getting a copy of this on a cassette at a record fair back in the day and it had a hand printed cover that simply said "Almanac - Unreleased Fleetwood Mac album". I remember thinking, "that's an odd album to have both live tracks and demos". Now all these years later I realized that I don't know anything at all about it except some of the songs that were on it. Was there a cover? or was it just a blank LP? Was it just a bootleg or was it made for a particular reason? Any ideas?

Front and back cover. Don't really know much about the history. All I know is that I bought it off of ebay a few years back. Actually twice. The first copy was stolen off of my front porch when the mailman just left it there even though it required a signature.

A roommate of mine had (still has) the Almanac LP.

When I told him how many of the tracks were eventually finished and released officially, he was really surprised (he's not exactly the biggest Rumours era Fleetwood Mac fan, he's REALLY into Danny Kirwan).

He'll be really surprised to hear "Secret Love", since I just loaned him my copy of In Your Dreams.

Being that there was such a length of time between Rumours & Tusk the bootleggers figured they'd get some interest in this album. It was a kind of preview of Tusk with the inclusion of "Storms"...the addition of the "lost" tune from Rumours "Silver Springs"...plus some, at the time, never heard demos of Stevie's tunes...as well as some overly bootlegged live material.

This makes want to pull out that album, as well as few other bootleg albums and give them a spin for old time's sake. Those albums were very special for fans, way back when, during the pre-digital age, when we lived in caves.

Wow, you had a cave?? You were in the luxury neighborhood. I was under a rock. Got a little tired of sow bugs & spider webs. But, I had plenty of vinyl and a turntable!
