I hope this isn't a repost...but, I had not seen this yet. It looks...kind of cheesy. I am not a fan of Unauthorized books....especially when it is about Stevie....

I think this is just Stevie's Wiki page stretched out over 176 pages.

Most likely. No bombshells here. And what's with the boring mic on the cover? Where are the ribbons and streamers? Who's mic is this??? Not our girl's.

Even the lips from the "Secret Love" t-shirt would have been better than that mic.

I can't take the book remotely seriously when it has "songerwriter" in the title.

I can't believe that anyone can sell a book that is created from wikipedia articles. Surely to sell books (even as an editor or publisher) you have to have some sort of creative input into the process. Basically copying articles on the net and binding them into a book is getting pretty low, selling them is really hitting the bottom of the barrel.

Do a search for her other "edited" books and you'll see that Noelle Marin just seems to love binding together articles to sell.

According to the Amazon review:

Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.

Damn it why didn't I think of this idea, maybe I can print out the postings of the Ledge and sell them as a book?

My thoughts exactly. We've seen fake Stevie albums slip into Amazon's website before. I'm guessing this is someone's idea of a joke. Marketing a book as a Wikipedia collection is just over-the-top dumb.

I can't take the book remotely seriously when it has "songerwriter" in the title.

Maybe she recruited the editor from Ed Wincentsen’s books.

I'm sure I missed the boat on the thread that most certainly discussed this book (?), but I'd like to know who's read it and is it

a.) a load of crap?

and/or

b.) Stuff we've all heard before ad nauseum?

There weren't any reviews posted on Amazon .

I used to work for a major publisher back in the 90s.....getting a REAL book published professionally is quite hard. But no worries, now with your computer and a few bucks you can self-publish anything...... no nasty editors, fact-checkers, etc.... oy.
