I am visiting San Francisco and I stopped in Amoeba Records and found the following items. I don't know if they are legit or not...what do you guys think.

Stand Back Vinyl (near mint) 4.99
Buckingham Nicks Remastered (obviously not legit)
Stevie Nicks Live in Denver (Red Rocks CD) Random tracks from the Red Rocks show : 11:99

Fleetwood Mac Mirage Tour DVD: 20.99 (listed as printed in Holland)

I forgot to look in the VHS section to see if they had the Tusk Doc, but maybe tomorrow.

They also had every FM and SN album on Vinyl.

Those are great little finds congats ! Around here there are no independent, mom and pop record stores ! Only the big names . They would NEVER carry what you found. So happy for you, that so cool !

I haven't bought them yet. I am debating on the Mirage DVD (not sure if it is legit). Also, I am not sure how well Vinyl will fare on a plane ride home.

I love Amoeba though! I may have to make the purchases, damn it!

I think you scored (or could score) some valuable stuff. I LOVE Ameoba and so miss it (btw, you only found that stuff there cause I moved away. ;) I kiddding) but the SB vinyl imo is the best find. That other stuff can prolly be bought for about same price (though no s&h) on Amazon.

I could use a copy of 'The Wild Heart' on vinyl. The one I got is on display.

I love Amoeba too. I bought that same Buckingham Nicks bootleg. I guess I don't have the most exacting audio standards, but to me, the quality is amazing. It has completely satiated my need to get Stevie and Lindsey to release Buckingham Nicks on CD. :) I've also found some really good rare Counting Crows and Indigo Girls stuff there. Yay Amoeba. Yay independent music stores :)

I will go with the Stand Back then and hope it doesn't get too damaged on the flight home...and the Mirage DVD. Thank you!

I sent a ton of my duplicae records out to those in need. lol. If I have another copy, I'll get it out to you. If not, I could come by one pretty easily. If you haven't gotten a reply already let me know.

Ooooh what did you find? Crows on vinyl is so tough to get!

It wasn't Counting Crows on vinyl. It was a live boot of part of one of their Warfield shows. I think it has about 10 songs, one of which is August and Everything After, which is just Adam playing the piano and singing. It's the song that their first CD was named for, but I've never seen that song on any other CC's boot. When he introduces the song, he says that he's only every played it live 2 or 3 times. It's a really cool song too. If you want a copy, let me know. I can send you an MP3 file or burn a copy of the CD. It's not a CD that was every commercially available, and the CC's are very very bootleg friendly. IN fact, they let people set up recording equipment at their shows.

You'd think since I'm just "down the road" from Amoeba Records (well, 30 miles, but then, I used to commute 36 each way to work), that I'd have dropped in for a shopping spree, but no. Driven PAST it about 10 times going to & from my guitar tech's shop and the Hollywood Guitar Store Stroll. Just never have stopped in.

Hmmmm...probably would be cheaper (and obviously less calories) to make the run to Amoeba than to Pink's!

Maybe you guys can help me.

I recently went to Zia Records, and found a sealed, mint Buckingham Nicks. What would it be worth/what is the most I should pay for it?

Do you remember what the cover of the Mirage DVD looks like? There is a bootleg circulating with a cover of a Behind the Mask era photo. It contains the Mirage '82 show from Los Angeles.
