My car was full of kids and grandkids, all yakking while I'm trying desperately to play IYD for my husband who's in the passenger's seat. Not much time as we were getting close to the restaurant and so I put on Soldier's Angel cause my husband is more into FM than Stevie solo. So it's starting and Stevie just barely starts singing and my 27 year old son in the back seat who had been talking about basketball or something in his very loud deep voice says "hey mom, this sounds just like that Fleetwood Mac song about the chain or whatever." So, besides the fact that it made my Mother's day cause he actually recognized a FM song vibe, which just slays me, but then after I listened to it with a different perspective I could really kind of hear it too. Anybody else notice that??

i can kinda hear it. The guitar, the kick drum... and it does have Lindsey on vocals and (I think) on guitar... so that's a pretty good connection ;)

Absolutely. Especially with the kick drum at the start.

I actually got more of a 'Gold Dust Woman' vibe but I think both songs are good reference points for the sparseness of 'Soldier's Angel'.

I mean, you can actually start singing "and if you don't love me now, you will never love me again" as Stevie and Lindsey start their duet... it's in a lower key but it matches up perfectly... try it!

How ironic...I was going to post the same thing...soldiers angel reminds me of a slowed down version of the chain...love it!
