It looks like the finale of American Idol will be packed with divas.

RumorFix was first to tell you that Lady Gaga was locked in for the show in February, and now we've learned exclusively that Stevie Nicks is part of the all-star line-up.

The legendary Fleetwood Mac singer has a new album out called In Your Dreams -- it's her first solo effort in ten years.

So no matter who wins the singing competition, the finale is guaranteed to be a winning show!

Don't get me wrong, I'd LOOOVE to see her do something unexpected & fresh, but we all know she tends to stick to Stand Back & Landslide for TV appearances, so given those choices, I'd have to go with Stand Back. The finale of AI is always a high energy show & a song like Landslide would stick out like a sore thumb, whereas a high energy song like Stand Back would work much better. But, who knows what she'll do... I'm just glad she's gonna be on the same stage as Gaga. That will be one powerful moment in Stephanie history... :lol:

This is great news! I know Gaga admires Stevie and even said she thinks "What would Stevie do?" when she gets writer's block. I think she could talk Stevie into doing something but she may just want to do her own thing.

I'd like to imagine that the two Stephanie's would duet & when their voices join together, it causes a cosmic flash of light thru the universe & casts a spell over the entire world, but that's just cuz I'm half crazy & half retarded. LOL

But, I'd love to see Gaga play piano & sing the intro for Rhiannon, then when it's time for the guitar part to kick in, the music for "Judas" kicks in & Stevie comes out in a totally Gaga outfit & rocks out with her. Or Stevie playing the piano version of "Paparazzi", then Gaga coming out & busting into Stand Back, dressed like Stevie... the possibilities are ENDLESS!!! But, it'll probably just be Stevie coming out, doing a stale version of Landslide or Stand Back & no duet with Gaga. Who knows? :shrug:

Adele's album shows that good word of mouth can really help. I think Stevie needs to reach some kind of a "tipping point" in terms of consumer consciousness, because the material is good. The album is great so she definitely has a quality product to sell. It just really has to "get out there" in public consciousness.

I've been regularly putting her sizzle reel on my facebook page, with information about the album title, etc., for what it's worth. That's only going to my 300 some friends, but a few of them have picked up on it.

Stevie should really use this opportunity on Idol to debut Annabel Lee live. It could be her new epic magnus opus live. And what a huge audience for exposure. It would be wild and dramatic....only glitch I could see is the song is 6 minutes long...could go longer live....they may not allow that on Idol. I think they are confusing tonight with the finale. Stevie postponed her concert tonight because she is sick. She wouldn't be performing live on AI tonight. Gaga is appearing again on AI for the finale.

hi everybody...I just found this website a few days ago and had some issues getting on so I haven't been able to reply to anything but now that its resolved...YAY Im on here and hi:wavey:..although I am new to this website, I am not new to AI...Ive been watching since the beginning so I thought maybe I could be of some help on this issue thats come up...the AI finale will be the 24th and 25th...usually all the special guests come on the 2nd part of the finale which will be the 25th and what Jordalar said is pretty spot on how they do things...usually they have the "special guest" singing with one of the contestants, which could be one of the final 2 or one of the top 11...the "special guest" usually doesnt sing their current songs but either an old one or some random other song...another poster wrote something about wondering whether Jimmy Iovine had his hand in this and I would have to say I am pretty positive he did...I wouldnt doubt for a minute that he asked her to come on there and because of the new album out she is using it for good publicity...Im really sorry I wasnt able to come on here before those of you who don't normally watch idol had to watch it to find out Stevie wasnt on tonight:distress: and they could still do something totally off the norm with her but thats just usually the way things work:) hope that takes some confusion away from some of you

I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga, but I now have a lot of respect for her. She showed a lot of insight when coaching the Idol singers. The Lady really knows her stuff, which is why she is so successful. I can overlook the ridiculous costumes, now knowing there is a lot substance to her "art."

If Stevie doesn't appear on Idol, it's just one more mistep in the promotion of her album. Granted, her sickness is unfortunate in its timing. But the obsessive focus that fans have about the sales of her album is slighty over-wraught. Critical aclaim is Stevie's ultimate goal, and she has already succeeded with that.
