Why Hasn't Amazon Shipped IYD?

I just checked my order, which I placed months ago, and my expected delivery date is May 9 -13 and it hasn't shipped yet. What's taking so long?

I ordered my bonus disc thru B&N about a week ago and it said it would be shipped on May 3rd now its says delayed and will ship between 1-5 days from today mine when I signed into my account it says delayed. Maybe they only got a certain amount of the bonus disc, was not sure if they were going to get it so I ordered a copy from warner bros. with the litho yesterday I ordered it from Warner Bros and will cancel the B&N instead. I did pick up a copy from Walmart yesterday and love it couldn't wait for the pre order to come.

Got mine on Monday, May 2 ordered through Amazon. Got it fast, ordered last week.

Same thing happened to me. I think I ordered it in March. I looked yesterday and it said the EXACT same thing...May 9-13th. I cancelled it and ordered another one at Barnes and Noble. Shipped out the same day.
Amazon does some funky things from time to time. Either they are super-fast, or super-slow. And a lot of it, I think, has to do with the free shipping offers. Those seem to always be delayed lately.

I got mine today and I too ordered months ago. I mentioned this in one of the other threads tah I was pissed with Amazon because when I updated shipping the requied another charge card. Nothing was wrong with my Amazon card. So....had a happy ending, got it today with my upgraded one day shipping. I'm one happy girl!

Barnes and Noble hasn't shipped either... so don't feel left out, folks. God knows what the issue is.

I ordered mine back in January to ship to the UK and it shipped on the day of release. Now I'm just waiting!

When you preorder the idea is to get it the day it comes out! I won't ever preorder anything from Amazon again. I haven't gotten mine yet either.

I canceled my B&N order and went to the store to get one, but they didn't have any. I saw it at Target (tho not the bonus edition) earlier, so I think I'm gonna go back & get it from there, just so I'll have a CD copy. Someone e-mailed me the mp3 of My Heart (hey, I tried to buy it, I really did).

Yeah I just couldn't wait and downloaded from iTunes! At least the CD is in my state now but it is still BS!

Also, I have some random charges showing up now in my checking account after ordering cell phone accessories. They're very small and I bet this guy rakes in a fortune from people not noticing. I searched online and there are reports of this issue and banks/Amazon doing nothing about it. We'll see what happens with mine. Ridiculous! I'll never use a small business seller from there again either. Too many crooks.

Remember, if you place a pre-order on Amazon.com and select "Free Super Saver Shipping", you will never get the item on day of release. Rather, you need to select Release-Date delivery as an option, which is a charge.
If you're a Prime Member, you're set up perfectly, and will get any pre-order on day of release or sometimes the day before with your regular Prime membership.

All of this info of course is clearly posted on amazon.com.

Just got an email saying that BARNES n NOBLE is shipping my CD... which means you Yanks are probably getting yours soon too ;)

My two amazon's came today and surprise! - suddenly, so did the Warner's Bros. However, still no poster.

The Warner Bros is different from Barnes and Noble in that it actually has a sleeve. The barnes does not.
