This is the reason I ask:

I preordered the CD on the Warners site. Then I also ordered it on Amazon. (What was I thinking?).

When I found out just yesterday that there was a special Barnes & Nobles verison with "My Heart" on it, I ordered that.

Today, when the CD didn't arrive in the mail, I went to Target, but, surprisingly, they didn't have it on the shelves. So I went to Best Buy and purchased it. Encouragingly, I noticed that it looked like a few had already been purchased.

So thus far, I am the owner of 4 "In My Dreams!"

Well i bought the Warner edition (wouldn't if i knew B&N really did have it in the store), the Deluxe itunes, 1 from walmart at 8am, 2 from different B&N's, and 5 from Best Buy (to give to friends) so i've bought 10 so far

The only difference between Warner and Barnes n Noble is the sleeve that comes on the CD from Warner

But... after I left work and BEFORE I came home (not knowing if the CDs were in today's mail) I bought a copy at Wal-Mart! So, three so far...

And I will be buying the iTunes Deluxe version for the "Secret Love" video AND the extra things Stevie wrote about all of the songs!!!!

And then I got up today headed to Barnes N Noble to get the 14 track version, then at 3 PM the version from January arrived in the mail. So now I got 1 for the house one for the car.

I beg your pardon, but I don't see that there's anything sad about/wrong with people buying multiple copies regardless of motives... to boost sales, to give as gifts, to have back-up copies, or for any other reason(s). I don't see it as any more artificial than not being able to account for people who like the album but choose to illegally download it w/o ever purchasing the music.

So far, I only have the special edition that came with the lithograph/poster. I do plan on purchasing one additional copy this week (the standard edition), which is something I choose to do mostly for the purpose of supporting this release (I like having a back-up copy of albums I especially treasure.. something I don't do enough actually.)

I innocently purchased more copies than I intended, and started this thread to gage other fans' purchases. It was never an agenda to boost sales! That is ridiculous thinking!

I'm always rearranging music sections to promote Stevie in any store I walk through ~ LOL!!! Those Nickelback fans have to WORK their way past Stevie Nicks to find their CDs!

I do it everywhere. Last month I was in Half-Price Books on Lamar in Austin, and I put Bella Donna and The Wild Heart both in the front of 2 stacks of "N" vinyl records! And it was in the middle of all of the records, very visible in the middle of the store, so there was Stevie, right near the cash registers, too!!! And I put The Other Side Of The Mirror in front of the "N" used CDs, and The Dance in front of the "F" CDs.

It's not a Stevie Nicks thing. Check out JLo's ratings on iTunes. I'm sure her fans have boosted her sales with Multiple copies. Lady Gaga, Brittany, Madonna.... hardcore fans buy, buy, buy to support the artist and out of love. You can't just single out Stevie Nicks fans. Stevie is going to have a harder time than anyone selling her album simply because of her age. She needs core fans to stick by her and to spread the word.

Ok, my fan edition never did come. I got sick of waiting. I went two Barnes and Nobles today. One was sold out, however, I finally managed to snag the deluxe IYD.

My feelings on My Heart. It doesn't fit on the album. It doesn't flow quiet as well as Soldiers Angel after Annabelle Lee. However, I really like it. They produced it in such a way where the verses are low key and her voice sounds really good. I also like the middle part which is creative witht the Ooh Yeahhs. I could actually see the song being used in a movie. However, like Annabelle Lee, I feel the song goes on too long. It's still good though but I'm glad they dropped it from the reg version. Just doesn't flow quite as well.

I just bought one today at Best Buy. They had about 6 on the New Release display and 2 under "Stevie Nicks" in the Rock/Pop section.

I was very dissapointed because IYD was the only Stevie album they had! I was hoping to get one of her older ones...but they didn't have any! For FM they had one copy of The Dance, which I already own, Greatest Hits that I don't want right now and Rumours for $15 and there was no way I was paying that much.

And of course no Lindsey but I kind of figured that one.

they had like, 11 copies. but i live in a small town outside of Cleveland OH so i was surprised they even had it.
We got ours at Best Buy too. We usually cover other cds with Stevie's but I was more focused on getting LauraTN a TV for Mother's Day, and order a new dishwasher because ours is on the blink. I am hoping to get 'My Heart' separately if I can.

I'm up to 5 copies so far and plan to buy at least 2 more. I kept 1 and sent others to my sister, brother and youngest uncle. The fourth went to a colleague at work and the next 2 will as well. I also convinced a fellow student to download the album from iTunes (and I did the same, so I have a cd version and the iTunes version).

The B&N version has two more pictures in the liner notes; one of Stevie and "young Stevie" form the Secret Love video and another pic of Stevie with Sharon and Lori with Dave popping out from a window. Random, eh?

The only music store in my city closed down so I had to stick with the iTunes deluxe version. If I see a hard copy, I'll buy it. It's always nice to f lip through liner notes.

I ordered the fan Edition package from Warner Bros. Wednesday and they shipped it out today so next week should get the fan edition one have the standard one from walmart on day of sale on tuesday. Pre ordered the bonus disc from B&N and got an email it was delayed for another 5 days so I cancelled that and ordered from Warner Bros. Fan Edition excited to hear My Heart song and looking to frame the lithograph.

Just ordered B&N edition...

The funny and upsetting thing is that with P&P (all the way to europe) I'll pay less then the original CD overhere in the stores.

I mean, the average price of a new CD is 18 euro's ( I paid 17,95 Ibelieve) --> 25 USD

B&N version With 8 USD P&P= 21.47 USD --> less then 14 euro's

I feel a bit strange after this, I knew of the price-differences, but this....

finally i am not feeling frustrated about having to wait for the cd to arrive. yay! i have passed my test in patience! ;) maybe because i feel better today (was sick most of last week), and it will come when it comes. i have to realize it could get delayed even more so than they are predicting, so, whatever. but i can't wait to get it and blast it, i'm back to excited and looking forward to it instead of annoyed. and it's a more fun feeling. and maybe it means the cd is doing even better than they thought, and they thought it would do well. go stevie!!!! take the world by storm, yet again! now hurry up WB and catch up to the demand!

I live in the UK and the release date here isn't until 27th June...there was no way I was going to wait that long, so I ordered it from a website in the Netherlands where it was released April 28th (WHY the huge time difference?!!!). I have also ordered the WB version so I could get Secret Love back in January and I've pre-ordered the UK iTunes deluxe version so I could get the videos...so that's 3 copies for me :)

INCREDIBLE pictures!!

I pre-ordered the standard edition from amazon.com (dispatched on day of release) and the WB Fan Edition (dispatched Apruil 27th). I'm in the UK so neither have arrived yet, frustrating!! I expect the amazon one to arrive by the end of next week and the WB one some time around then or the following week.

I am the proud owner of 1 copy of IYD which I received yesterday from Amazon. I didn't even pay a penny for it because of a certiciate I had. :D Been playing it non-stop since last night! LOVE IT!! And I have been promoting it every chance I get, whether it's by emailing friends and family links to the rollingstone.com stream or playing it loudly while the windows are thrown wide open!!!! :laugh:

I bought 2 - one for my car & one for elsewhere ( I don't do IPod). Though TBH so far I've only opened the car one. I might return or exchange the other. I bought the deluxe version & really can't stand "My Heart", so I'd be happier having the shorter version anyway.:shrug:
