View Full Version : Snuck My Copy from Barnes and Nobles - My Heart

I just got back from Barnes and Nobles. I was headed home after visiting my sister and thought they might have put the cds out early. Well they didn't. But next to the cash register was an open box of CDs. I looked inside and there were about three copies of IYD. I grabbed one and took it to the register. The cashier was helping someone else and didn't even notice. I know..my bad. :lol:

I first had to listen to "My Heart" since I have heard the other tracks. I have to say it's a great version. I never cared for the TISL version because of the beginning of the song had a "Marion Hopkins...Those Were the Days My Friend" sound to it. But Dave redid that part and now it's perfect. The chorus is still in tact. I think it's a perfect fit for the CD. :thumbsup:

I know you're here in Austin... which B&N did you get your copy from? I've been worried about finding a copy of IYD with My Heart.

I stop at Walmart tonight.theydid not stock the cd yet.but they had a truckload of Nickelback in its place.

Awesome. The arboretum is a bit of a drive from my house, so I'll just wait and get it tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up! :thumbsup:

Hmmm I'm not sure what I think of this song yet. Interestingly this is the only song related to In Your Dreams that I haven't instantly thought "what a great song!" (Only have listened to it once so far though....)

I wonder when Barnes and Noble plans to ship out the online orders. Had I known they'd be at the store itself I would've just bought it in store. They haven't even billed me yet.

Just got my copy of IYD from the Westlake Barnes & Noble for those Austin Ledgies who haven't gotten their copies yet. As an FYI, the guy still had them in a box on the check out counter... he hadn't even put them out yet. :rolleyes:

Interestingly enough, I don't immediately like My Heart! I guess I'm just so used to the TISL outtake that I've worn out for nearly a decade.

Same here! I'm a little disappointed by the change to the melody on the verses!

Got my cd and lithograph package today. I prefer the original demo version of "My Heart". I thought the original demo was perfect the way it was. Maybe the new bonus version will grow on me. I've only listened to it twice. Otherwise, I love the album. Her best solo album, without a doubt. I hope she gets well soon, and that her pneumonia resolves quickly.

If you buy the Bonus Track CD version at B&N, it has My Heart on the CD.
If you buy the Bonus Track Download version, it has My Heart as a bonus download.
If you ordered the fan bundle from Warner, you are getting the B&N CD version
If you order the regular or deluxe version from iTunes, My Heart is not included.
The Bonus Track version is only sold at B&N, or via snail-mail from Warner.

walmart in Naugatuck had about 5 copies I picked up one cause I won't get the B&N bonus cd until the end of the week, They still haven't sent it out it says sometime today it will be sent.

I had the same experience in San Antonio at about 1 PM. Geez....is it so hard to throw some new CDs out on the shelves? Oh, well....The good part is that they had the CD playing over the store's sound system!

i am hoping it means they were overwhelmed with orders far beyond their wildest dreams and sold out. but still, another week to wait. of course, they say we can cancel, but they already shipped the rest of my order so if i cancel i will get charged s&h for that. why couldn't we just have walked into any store and gotten the same cd everywhere with my heart on it?
