I just wanted to tell my fellow Ledgies how much fun it is to be able to share this exciting time with others who love Stevie's music as much as I do. Just like when TISL came out... and now with what many think may be her best solo album yet!

In the old days, when the internet communities weren't around, there weren't a lot of folks as passionate about Stevie's music, and so it just wasn't the same.

I appreciate this!

Looks like you joined right around the same time I did... when TISL came out. I still remember the excitement over that record. I went and bought a copy for myself, and a co-worker the minute the record store opened. ;)

Bandon, I agree with you! I have been treading lightly on this board because I still haven't listened to IYD, but as soon as I do, this will be the place where I will come to read everyones opinions.....I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait.

Yeah, I lurked in the year plus TISL gestation period too, but when the album was getting closer to release, I finally became an official member myself :). I haven't been this excited to be a fan since TISL came out... not even SYW came close to this feeling for me personally. And I'm primarily a Mac fan, so that says a lot!

I'm sure with all my posts, people know how happy I am to sharing this. I feel like I been waiting for this since the early 80s, and I just knew this one was going to be good. It was just the "Screw it, Let's Do It" attitude her and Dave had toward making this thing.

I probably sound like a old geezer, but I was all excited when I heard Stevie was going solo.I said wow Its about time. That was 30 years ago. It's nice to see the younger generation follow her.

I always enjoyed lurking here but I'm a little shy so I never bothered to participate. I love knowing there is other Stevie/FM fans out there who find their music to be incredible like I do.

I tried getting other people into Stevie but they don't find her to be real and of substance. I've heard so many of her songs and performances though(demos, un/released and live) that I never let it get to me (ok maybe once or twice) . I knew Stevie's talent and hoped she still had it in her to make that album that would change people's mind and I think IYD is that album.

Its cool to be sharing in all of this. :D

In spite of all the frustration and nervous waiting and bitching about Dave's hopelessly cryptic tweets :p the build-up to this album was incredibly exciting to watch.

From the initial whisperings and rumours through the confirmation that yes, this record was really happening, then little hints about what songs would be included and how they might sound, to photoshoots and new pictures and the ever-evolving list of confirmed tracks, to staying up until 6 in the morning watching the Ellen recording on a silent camera :p, to the tour speculation, right up to the preview, the release of the artwork, the sizzle reel, the surprise streaming of the album and, finally, all of our reactions to this new installment in Stevie's legacy. It's been an extraordinary few months :) It seemed like every week we were getting more tidbits and more teasing glimpses into the record that we hoped would be everything we know our girl is capable of.

No hyperbole - it's been a journey and it's been SO much fun to share it with all of you! :xoxo:

It's been super-fun to be on The Ledge at this time! It's so exciting to talk about Stevie Nicks with people who don't go "Isn't he dead?" or "Oh, that's the chick that sang that thunder song, right?" or, worst of all "OH, her with the goat voice"

It's been my geeky pleasure, the past few months, hearing Stevie gossip and then looking forward to checking on here to hear everyone's thoughts on it

I think of things I missed out on because we didn't have a fan community. For instance, the Dance taping. I lived close to Burbank and would have been there in a heartbeat, but I didn't know about it. I guess there was an FM newsgroup on usenet who probably talked about it, but I was ignorant. If I'd had something like this back then, the FM world would have been my oyster.

I hate that last one! I've seen a few people say that & I think it's rude.

Stevie has my heart & always will! I'm so happy for her!:)

I have said it before, and I will say it again...
You guys make me feel sane!! I love you all, and would not know what to do with my Stevie-obsessed self if I did not have The Ledge!!

^^^ This. Seriously, I know more people I could discuss Van der Graaf Generator with, than I could Stevie.
