I am suprised that the Nicks Fix has not yet mentioned the release of Stevie's Secret Love video.

I'm not...lol. Makes me sad that her official page is so lackluster and behind on things most of the time. Fleetwoodmac.net is usually much more current than her site.
What a great video for Secret Love. Cannot wait for the rest of the videos and footage.

I wonder if they'll ever add more 'Fan Room' pictures?
It's been a few years, i'd say!

Actually It doesn't surprise me........I've noticed that John hasn't updated as much as he usually has. I'm sure he will update soon. I miss the updates and it's kinda sad cause I've loved the site since I found it all those yrs ago.

I've followed the site to for so long even before it became official. It justed seemed like there used to be more updates.

it's on her facebook page .. most artist websites are dying, with twitter and facebook they reach more people directly and faster

Before it became the official site, The Nicks Fix was THE best Stevie site out there. Once it became official John had to remove some content (the stuff realted to bootlegs etc) and all information had to get cleared thru management first. As a result the site is way behind on most info.

I gave up on the Nicksfix years ago. :distress:
As Stevie's 'official site', it's pathetic how any new news about her appears on the fan forums first (like this one or nickslive.blogspot.com).

Which reminds me.......has anyone e-mailed John to let him know we all miss the updates and maybe perhaps he can inform the, "Powers That Be" how how so many of her faithful fans miss his updates? In the past I would e-mail him Stevie Sightings and he always e-mailed back.

PS: I hate thinking her offical site may end.

I think we should all collaborate with John and help him along with the site.Nicksfix was the first site I bookmarked back in the 1990's on my first computer.Way before his site was official.

I'm a supporter of Stevie having an official site and would never want it to go away. In fact The Nicks Fix is and has been my home page for years. Sadly though, it's certainly not the website I go to for the LATEST and GREATEST news about Stevie. That award goes to the Ledge and Fleetwood Mac News & Reviews blog.

How many rock fans even use these official band sites any more? Don't most fans use their own forums, plus Facebook & Twitter & all the social media?

I guess we talked about this before, but its May 10 and the Nicksfix hasn't been updated since May 4. I mean, this the most active Stevie has been since 2001 in her solo career and absolutely no reason to got her website. I tried following Nicksfix on twitter and he hasn't even tweeted once. Maybe John Kinney hands are tied, but it seems like there should be some reason to go there. I guess it may be used as a database site. It's a shame. Every since he became her official site, the site lost any relavance. UGG

It may not be true. I'm not sure. He had some other people helping him at one point. He founded the site years and years ago, so I don't think it would be appropriate to take it away from him. He provided a lot of information during the lean years.
I think adding the YouTube channel and the Annabel Lee twitter feed were a good idea.

At this point, I think we should stop bemoaning the inactivity of the Nicks Fix. John Kinney has put in over a decade to build a site that was, at one time, the best fan-built Stevie site on the internet. When the powers that be decided to grant it "official website status," he became much more limited on what he could post (all references to demos and bootlegs had to go, etc). I can see why it would be frustrating to have to wait for the official camp's blessing before posting anything, and I'm sure he became somewhat disenchanted.
We have NicksLive for breaking news, and we have her official Warner Brothers site which, while not as comprehensive as the Nicks Fix, is fairly decent.

Who cares when you have The Ledge and NicksLive? I know it is frustrating knowing that the casual fan doesn't get the updates as quickly as us, but with her on Facebook and Twitter now, that's changing. I don't see a point for an official fan site anymore.

John's hands may be tied, and if so, you certainly cannot blame him. However, the site is pretty much worthless in terms of current information. I hate to say it because it was a great source during TISL, but even the graphics, etc. so outdated. :distress:
On the other hand, Peter over at the Nicklive site does a fantastic job of keeping everyone updated.

Official sites completely have their hands tied. Why moan about the Nicksfix? It's pretty pointless anyway.

Maybe that's why he doesn't bother as much? With Facebook, Youtube & Twitter or all the blogs out there, he's lost his passion for the site. I feel bad for him. He should be proud of what he started! ;)
