Yayyyy!! Can I ask, did you order Import copy from amazon.com or is it the Warners Fan Edition? I haven't received an e-mail to say either of them have been dispatched to me here in the UK but now I'll be waiting expectantly! I hadn't expected it to arrive until a coupole of weeks after the release date but now, who knows...

The booklet is gorgeous although I would have liked more photos of Stevie.

Ahhhh, ok. I didn't order the standard edition from Warners - I ordered that from amazon.com. It wasn't until the Fan Edition was advertised that I placed a Warners order.

When Warners offered the upgrade from the standard version to the Limited Fan Edition, there was a deadline of April 17th to decide. I believe they were shipped shortly after that.

Good news is, the release date for several Western European countries is the 28th. That's only about 8 hours away in mainland Europe now. So maybe we'll see a detailed Ledgie review soon anyway :).

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to leave anyone in the lurch last night. I have only just logged back in to see some of your comments - I didn't realise so many of you would be wanting my opinion. I'm heading off to work in a few moments, but will post more comprehensive details when I get home. Upon first impressions, I'm digging about three quarters of the album and am marvelling at the quality of Stevie's vocals throughout. I was always a fan of the "Annabel Lee" demo, but wasn't quite prepared for how brilliant the recorded version would be - it's truly remarkable and will quickly become a Stevie classic in my opinion. "Everybody Loves You" is fabulous and reminds of me of latter-day Eurythmics (if you can wrap your head around that!) and "Moonlight" is a definite stand-out with extraordinary vocals. The title track is extremely catchy but a little throwaway to these ears, almost as if Taylor Swift or Avril Lavigne could have recorded it. I'm surprised at how much I like "Soldier's Angel" considering that I did not have high hopes for it at all, but inviting Lindsey on board was a sound move. That said, I think it's about a minute too long and could have lost a verse or two. Anyway, I have to dash but I'll write again very soon. Hopefully, you'll get comments from others who have heard the album in the meantime. Phil X
