Would anyone else like to see IYD released on cassette? I sure would. I love my old cassette tapes and I still play a lot of them. Stevie said herself recently that she prefers their sound, as they are "warmer." I agree. Should we email Warner?

I'm not hoping for a cassette release, but a vinyl release would make me very happy.

Do they even make blank cassettes anymore?

I imagine that if you dub the CD (or vinyl) to a quality blank cassette the sound will be the same. Plus if you have a tape recorder that has Dolby S or B or whatever the latest and last version was that it would sound just fine in a tape player. I however do not miss the HISS of tapes. Also the frequency band of Tape leaves out the highs and lows of the music and after the noise reduction it always seemed that the high hat symbols were muffled.

Getting IYD on vinyl is a possibility, but on cassette is pretty much not going to happen. I don't think a major release has been issued on cassette in 10 years or so. The last album I got on cassette oddly enough was Stevie's "Street Angel".

The last cassette I bought was Fleetwood Mac Rumours/White Album double feature. I wanted both in my car and at the time already had Rumours on vinyl and did not want to buy White Album from BMG music Services when I was not even sure it was going to be a good album. This was 1997 though and I was just getting into FM. I still have that cassette and it pretty much is the only one I play in my 1980 muscle car since it has a cassette player in it.

I think tapes sound like crap but vinyl would definitely be fun

I am not...I think cassettes sound terrible. Also, it seems they play at a faster speed.

that might be a defect in your tape player. I have had this happen in some tape players before. Just like a record player that is slightly out of adjustment when the reel spins faster than the predetermined speed on a reel to reel tape, or when you play a 33 at 45 speed.

Well Stevie's on my side then so :p I think cassettes were being made at least until 2002 because I was sent a box full of Kylie Minogue cassettes for her "Fever" release when we had the release party at the club.

btw, the cassette copy of Mirage blows the CD out of the water (but I know that's due to the low pressing on the CD)

I've had the misfortune in the past of some of my most fave cassettes getting "eaten" So, I wouldn't be thrilled, but vinyl? cool, bring it :]

Well I would love a vinyl copy because I fear cassettes will never get a full revival. Was just going through my Fleetwood Mac/Stevie records.. Just realized I have 27 Rumours albums. Totally unnecessary and at least 1 dozen of each indiv Stevie solo records. Completely sick and uncalled for:lol:
