The campaign to get Stevie on Oprah worked . Maybe us fans need to pick up WB's slack in the PR department and bombard these shows with requests to have Stevie as a guest.

You guys aren't being serious about the "getting Stevie on Oprah" thing are you? Because that was just a coincidence. They had this whole Women who rock show already planned and Stevie just happened to be arguably the most iconic and was the headliner. Her fans did not get her on Oprah.

Didn't one of O's producers tweet something to the effect of, "Stevie fans, we've heard you. More on this to follow..."?
Maybe a coincidence, but I think they were aware that Stevie has a large and dedicated fan base. It might not have been the single cause, but isn't it always a good thing to contribute to the visibility of her following, even in small ways?

Stevie mentioned on THE TALK today
on: Tuesday, April 19, 2011 01:22:40 AM
Quote

So i stopped watching this show after the first few novelty weeks but i had it recorded today and just watched it and they were talking about what they all did this weekend. Sarah Gilbert said she went and saw Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart. the audience applauded that. She said how she loved her and how emotional she got when they projected stuff on the backscreen like on LANDSLIDE with old photos of stevie growing up. a woman saw her crying and took her hand and said ''It's alright''. She said her dream would be for stevie to be on the show and sing ''sara'' to her. Julie Chen said that was one of the most beautiful songs ever and Sharon Osbourne said ''Don't worry, we'll work on getting her''. Awesome! Everything coming together. I'm sure she won't be on there but she's on everyone's mind!

So, that was last Tuesday on CBS's The Talk. Julie Chen's husband is the President of CBS, Les Moonves. I'm sure if Julie wanted STEVIE on her show, her husband could convince WB.

So, we should add The Talk to the list! Annie Lennox has been on!

Since Rod was just on, I really think it would be easy to get Stevie on Piers.

The View is strange. Even though I don't think their audience is young and I know Barbara and her producer (Bill Geddy?) aren't young, sometimes they don't like to have older guests on the show. They once wouldn't let Judi Dench on, because they thought the movie she was in at that time (Mrs. Henderson Presents) skewed too old. So, they might not want Stevie. They are targeting a certain thirtysomething demographic.

It's time for them to get with the program! This show would be the ideal format to meld all generation gaps, because there really aren't any generation gaps except what the media bias dictates. It's time to move forward and show some respect for "the elderly" (anyone over 35)!

I'm trying to remember... It was during Crystal Visions in 2007, and it was an AJ interview with Stevie, and they aired parts over 2 or 3 nights.

Wrong, Michael! It was August 2008 ~ what was Stevie pimping then????

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT

Encore: Inside Celebrity Gossip; Rehab Success Stories; Why Men Cheat; Tyra vs. Oprah!; Interview With Sarah Jessica Parker; Startling Star Couples; Cynthia Nixon Opens Up About Battling Breast Cancer

Aired August 15, 2008 - 23:00:00 ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Sarah Jessica Parker tells me the secret to the success of her marriage.
And we`re investigating, why do men cheat on some of the most beautiful, talented and successful women in Hollywood?

I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

A special edition of TV`s most provocative entertainment news show, "Showbiz Investigates Inside Hollywood" starts right now.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice over): Tonight, on a special edition of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "Showbiz Investigates Inside Hollywood," including inside the secret world of stars` secrets. How in the world do celebrity bloggers like Perez Hilton discover the stars` most startling secrets, the stuff stars wish would never get out?

PEREZ HILTON, CELEBRITY BLOGGER: I have the opportunity to shine light on celebrities behaving badly.

HAMMER: Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is blowing the lid off the secret world of star secrets.

Tonight, inside Hollywood rehab.

STEVIE NICKS, SINGER: Both times that I went into rehab I knew. Nobody had to tell me.

HAMMER: The amazing rehab success story of Stevie Nicks. And yes, there are others in Hollywood, too. So what`s their secret to rehab success?

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates the stars who almost lost it all because of addiction, then turned it all around.

...

HAMMER: That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`S Brooke Anderson.

You know, blogs are often the very first place that people go to find out who in Hollywood is heading to rehab and who is relapsing. Many stars lose their battles with drugs and alcohol, but there are plenty of celebrities out there who actually have entered treatment and gotten their addictions under control.

So what`s their secret to beating substance abuse? It`s a SHOWBIZ investigation, "Rehab Done Right."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

NICKS: Both times that I went into rehab I knew. Nobody had to tell me. I said, book me into Betty Ford.

HAMMER (voice over): Stevie Nicks, front woman of the `70s super group Fleetwood Mac, getting candid with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about her nearly deadly battle with cocaine and the powerful tranquilizer Klonopin, and how rehab literally saved her life.

NICKS: I didn`t want to change, I didn`t want to stop doing what I was doing. People tried to talk to me, and I didn`t really listen to anybody.

HAMMER: By the late 1980s, Nicks says her addiction to cocaine was so strong, that the drug had burned a hole in her nose. In 1986, she went straight to the Betty Ford Clinic.

NICKS: I unfortunately think that you have to make your own mistakes.

HAMMER: Fresh out of treatment, a psychiatrist put nicks on Klonopin, the same drug Anna Nicole Smith was given to treat panic attacks. Stevie says she took Klonopin for eight years and was even under the influence at Bill Clinton`s 1993 ininaugural bash. It was that high-profile moment that drove Nicks to a second stint in treatment.

NICKS: Nobody makes you go to rehab. Believe me. You make yourself go to rehab. Nobody makes you aware that you have a problem. You`re the person that gets up out of bed one morning and says things are going to change.

HAMMER: Stevie is not the only star to know and beat crippling addictions.

(I know Stevie's been on there more than that...)

Oh, for those who love Celeb Gossip and looking back, same show in August 2008:

HAMMER: Sandra Bullock shocked the world when she married Jesse James. I thought they were kind of an unlikely couple, but you know what? They`re still going strong.

April 2009, for Soundstage promotions:

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT

Woody Harrelson Gone Wild; Investigation Into Natasha Richardson`s Death; Would You Watch the Octo-Reality Show?; Snoop Dogg`s Wake-and-Bake on Twitter; Billy Bob Thornton`s Radio Rant

Aired April 10, 2009 - 23:00:00 ET

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Now, on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Woody gone wild.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This is assault. Woody, this is assault.

...

A segment on more mature female rockers, like Stevie, Tina, Melissa:

HAMMER: That is a lot of do, re, mi. And also rocking it for millions of fans worldwide is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT and "More" magazine`s next woman rocker over 40, Fleetwood Mac frontwoman, Stevie Nicks, who is 60 and still rocking it by a landslide like she did on "Ellen."

(MUSIC)

SEYMOUR: I still want to be her. I still want her clothes. I still want her hair. I think we are all like that with her. She`s like a sister.

...

HAMMER: Rock legend Stevie Nicks is slamming Lindsay Lohan big-time. The mystical front woman of Fleetwood Mac got wind of Lindsay`s plan to buy the rights to Stevie`s life story. And to say that Stevie wasn`t pleased about it - that would be a major understatement.

When asked about the idea in a brand-new interview, she said, quote, "Over my dead body. She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then, maybe we`ll talk."

Wow, them`s some fighting words. Tell us how you really feel, Stevie. I`ve got to tell you, after more than 35 years in the business, Stevie Nicks, one of my favorite people in showbiz still speaking her mind and making her great music. Here new album is called, "The Soundstage Sessions." It`s in stores right now.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT

Inside Celebrity Rehab Facilities; Stars That Fought Addiction And Won

Aired July 2, 2007 - 23:00:00 ET

A. J. HAMMER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT ANCHOR: Rehab of the rich and famous. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT takes you inside the rehab facilities of the stars. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
...

HAMMER: Well, Brooke, thankfully, it is not all doom and gloom when it comes to stars and addiction. There are some really inspiring rehab success stories. Coming up, Jason Mewes, the guy from "Clerks" and "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back" talks about how he struck back against addiction that nearly killed him. He really opens up about how low he got, and how he managed to bounce back.

We also have this --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NICKS: Both times I went into rehab. I knew. Nobody had to tell me. I said, book me into Betty Ford.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Another very hopeful story, A.J. Legendary singer Stevie Nicks gets real about how she beat an addiction to cocaine and came out happier and healthier than ever. And we`ll have a look at other stars who have rehab success stories. This special edition of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT: "Prescription for Rehab" will be right back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

Tonight it`s a special edition of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "Prescription For Rehab". Tonight celebrities and their path to sobriety. I`ve got a look at stars who have had success beating their addictions by taking it one day at a time.
