I live in Seattle and I'm not going... it's killing me, but I really need to save money for my New York City trip. I feel like a terrible fan for not being there when Stevie's in my city but then again, I'm flying across the country for her in two weeks.... nevertheless, tonight's going to be weird. I'll be sitting in my dorm room wishing I was at the show :(

I know how you feel. I think about things like that so often, because i can see her so rarely.
And in 09 i had a ticket and the f**ing car was broken, so it seemed for a while we couldnt make it. My first Stevie Concert and i nearly couldnt go.
I almost went insane and in the end we made it :D
I wish she comes here next time !

. I think your making the right decision for sure. That Webster show sounds so special and the show tonight just doesnt. Although I do agree it would be impossible for me to have Stevie in my hometown and not go. Luckily I live in Buffalo and will never have that problem

But yeah, if the Rod/Stevie tour came to HSBC I think I would've been obligated to at least get some really cheap seats and go. Hell maybe if you live close enough just go stand outside the arena and listen for vibrations of Stevie's songs.

I'm also just so happy that this tour is finally over tonight. It's produced some good performances, but I don't feel Stevie is that happy with doing it and its just an annoying distraction from In Your Dreams.

Agreed. Although I hope Rod's loose attitude rubbed off on her a little. NOW it's In Your Dreams time!!!

Great show! Stevie seemed a little tired but Rod was on fire! We were on the lower level, row 8 on the left side so I wish my photos came out better than they did but security was not letting anyone up to the stage at Key Arena. Was my first time there and I would have to say I don't want to attend another concert there. Seats were pretty dinky with no leg room at all..... especially if you're a tall person like my husband.

Stevie's neice, Jessie Nicks and Arlen? Nicks were there and Stevie mentioned Arlen moved to Seattle recently so Seattle was like her hometown too. She dedicated "Landslide" to them. I will try to post some pics later on or tomorrow if possible. Most of the Rod pics I took came out. Stevie's, I only got a couple of good pics. My camera kept messing up and people were bumping my arms, etc. None of the videos I took came out well at all. :(

It was nice when Stevie hugged Lori, Sharon, Carlos, Waddy and even Rod before her show ended and after she sang with Rod on the duets. They sang "Young Turks" and "Leather and Lace" and Rod messed up on Young Turks if I remember it right. It was funny. The crowd definitely was ROD'S fans but they warmed up to Stevie about the middle of her show and they really loved Dreams, Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman and Love Is.

Rod's set is pretty colorful! I wished Stevie would do something more like that when she goes on tour again this year.

I had a good time at the concert and the weather was really beautiful for Seattle. Of course, this morning we woke up to rainy weather again. :)

Sorry, can't figure out yet how to make the photos larger to add to this forum. Hubby will have to help later with this.

Rod Stewart may not be “Forever Young,” as one of his more famous songs suggests, but he could have fooled me.

At 66, the veteran rocker appeared trim, handsome and athletic Saturday night at KeyArena, kicking soccer balls into the crowd with the precision of a seasoned player and gliding effortlessly across a sprawling stage that looked like the set for a stylish, ’60s musical variety show.

The concert was part of the “Heart & Soul Tour” with Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac. The two rock stars performed a three-hour concert packed with classic hits, good vibes and plenty of nostalgia.

Nicks, also looking far more youthful than her 62 years, opened the show with “Stand Back.” The set included such favorites as “Dreams,” “Sorcerer,” “Gold Dust Woman” and “Rhiannon,” but “Landslide” was the most moving of her classic songs. Accompanying the beloved hit were photos of her childhood as well as images of her parents that certainly resonated with the middle-aged fans who filled most of the seats at KeyArena.

Before singing “Secret Love,” from her upcoming solo album “In Your Dreams,” Nicks talked about her latest connection to Seattle, via a niece who works here in radio. She called Seattle the “city of my heart.”

Dressed head-to-toe in black, Nicks closed her set with “Edge of Seventeen” and a touching version of the seldom-heard ballad, “Love Is.”

Nicks returned later for a couple of duets with Stewart, who opened his set with the O’Jays classic, “Love Train,” followed by “Tonight’s the Night” (which prompted an audience sing-along) and the rambunctious Sam Cooke hit, “Having a Party.”

Performing on a stylish, sumptuously appointed stage, Stewart defied age and gravity to put on a colorful, energetic and highly entertaining show, even if his voice was raspier than usual. Among those on stage were a bevy of women singer-musicians in red dresses. They recalled the fashion models in Robert Palmer’s 1980s “Addicted of Love” video.

The hits were delivered rapid-fire: “You Wear It Well,” “The First Cut Is the Deepest” (Cat Stevens), “Some Guys Have All the Luck” and “You’re in My Heart.” Stewart also performed such R&B, soul and rock ‘n’ roll favorites as Cooke’s “Twistin’ the Night Away,” Chuck Berry’s “Sweet Little Rock and Roller” and Eddie Floyd’s “Knock on Wood,” featuring his backup singers.

Stewart, who recently celebrated the birth of his eighth child, Aiden, showed photos of his beloved Celtic Football Club and displayed the team’s green-and-white logo. Stewart also saluted the 70th anniversary of the Dunkirk evacuation with a moving “Rhythm of My Heart.”

Stewart closed his colorful show with the big hits “Hot Legs” and “Maggie May,” followed by an encore of “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy,” his signature song.
