So, I've been watching the IYD preview toooo many times. I am ridiculously pumped for this album, but in the meantime, I don't know what to listen to, to keep up this excitement. What have you all found yourself listening to that kind of keeps the hype going???

Well, today it really struck me how epic the title track from TISL really is. I mean, I've always liked the song, but today, something clicked. Been switching from that to Long Way To Go all day. I'm totally hyped for new Stevie music by listening to old favourites.

Ever since someone posted the TISL acetate I've been obsessively listening to that while I try not to notice how slowly time is going by. It doesn't help that I'm job searching and have nothing else to do all day. AHHH. :]

I'm getting acquainted with the new Duran Duran & K.D. Lang releases I bought yesterday. I needed something to tie me over the next 2 weeks. Come to think of it - I am so impressed that In Your Dreams has not leaked:shocked:. Here we are 2 weeks from the release date and no frickin' leaks!! That's impressive! By this time for TISL & SYW, we pretty much had or heard every track or a snippet of every track. I sincerely hope it doesn't leak at this point, we're practically at the finish line. 14 days to go, seems surreal.

I have had The Wild Heart in the car on casette playing for about a month until recently . I replaced it Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever a few days ago. I put on Alison Krauss and Robert Plant's Raising Sand off of the IPod in living room a couple days ago.

Really, I wasn't a fan until after SYW's release, so I had no idea!!!

That new Duran Duran is really really good! I was never a fan of their whole albums, just a song here and there, but this album impressed me.

Yes, I'm digging the whole retro 80's "Rio" sound of it. Mark Ronson brought DD back full circle with some modern twists, lets pray Dave Stewart & Glen Ballad do the same with Stevie:nod: It's almost like I'm a young teenager and it's 1983 -1985 all over again! Who would of thought in 2011, I would be enjoying the exciting new Duran Duran album just weeks away from the more exciting new Stevie Nicks release.:D

That's funny, because I am doing the opposite: listening to all of her albums as a build up to her new music.

I started listening to Bella Donna today. I will be playing each album for two days, in order until release date. Kind of the music version of what people do when a new Harry Potter movie comes out. AND a super good chance to remember songs you may have forgotten about, or to see if a song you haven't liked in the past ends up clicking. I'm super excited to get to... well, I was going to say WH and SA, but really I look forward to ALL the days.
And listening to LG's Judas on the regular.

getting reacquainted with Street Angel....put in perspective and admittedly, I haven't listened to it end to end in over ten years....It's actually a gem of sorts. I like Rose Garden, Destiny and Blue Denim.

I agree wholeheartedly! The new D2 cd is awesome, and it's keeping me musically distracted from Stevie. Like Louie, I'm trying to hold out on Stevie until IYD.

Likewise - I can't seem to get enough of this album. I've played Street Angel almost every day for the past couple weeks.
I've also been listening a lot to a Rock A Little outtakes in a 'Mirror Mirror' playlist I made; I tried to put together what I thought the album might have been like, and that's been fun.

Christopher - isn't the new Duran Duran impressive??? Funny, I've been listening to that and the new KD as well - which I think is swell too.
Otherwise, I popped in Street Angel to try to give it some love. Got distracted with that effort and went to TISL - the song itself always does it for me.
I too, appreciate how this new one has not leaked yet. Stevie and crew are on their game this time. Hopefully...

It is a gem of sorts, isn't it? Every few years I revisit it and always find some new pleasures in it. They're my fav tracks as well!! Love is Like a River has also found a new place in my heart. The vocal stinks but the song is awesome.

Seems like everyone is on a Street Angel kick. I love that! Someone needs to tell Stevie it's not all bad. Even on Stevie's bad day's she still pretty great :p
Umm HELL YEah>> the DD album is ridiculously good. I've been listening to it non stop (even now as I type )>>popped in KD's once, I like that too at 1st glance, much better than her snoozy last outing. But back to DD, "Girl Panic" & "Blame The Machines" are like a time capsule back to 1982 "Leave A Light On" is "Save A Prayer" version 2.0 & All You Need Is Now - the bonus remix is pulsating in my brain right now. So ridiculously good:thumbsup:

The new KD Lang is fantasic . Her voice is like a hot knife through butter ( if that makes any sense  ). Adele, i can't get enough of Rolling in the Deep ! Duffy, Rockferry, and Tom Petty , he's ALWAYS in my rotation ;). I've been trying to avoid Tom because he always reminds me of Stevie and iam trying to take my mind OFF of waiting for IRD, but i love me some TP !!!

That makes sense to me..."It's only right that you should play the way you feel it".
For me - after last weeks gorge-fest - Cheaper Than Free song & video, the Webster Hall tickets and The O Show - I've been on a Stevie hiatus (music-wise) until the album drops or leaks -which ever is first ;). I haven't even watched the trailer...in weeks. I'm trying to keep the songs as fresh as possible for when I hear & take in the full presentation. The week of release, I'll be in downtown Manhattan woohoo!:woohoo:, everything all around me will be "electric" and I'll soon be Deep Dish into Stevie again. I'm calling it now... Stevie will knock our breathe away with In Your Dreams - we'll be left squealin' and screaming for mercy:cool:
So till that explosion, I'm trying hard (musically) to distract myself with some cool new releases. I'm even considering Avril L. latest, after hearing her stone cold crystalline vocals on "Love Is A Battlefield" w/ Pat last week (while I try hard to forget her deer in the headlights expression during the same performance:lol:) I know there are some Avril fans here - how would you rate her latest record?? Also looking forward to Fleet Foxes and Kate Bush's “Director's Cut”. It's been a great year for new music so far for me...and only it's only gonna get better.

Perfect sense! I've seen her "live" a few times now, and her voice is "like butter" and even more impressive in concert. One of my favorite concerts was when I saw her perform at the beautiful Santa Fe Opera House in 04' or 05' after releasing her mind blowing canadian cover album "Hymns of the 49th Parallel" which featured choice song selections from Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Jane Siberry, and Neil Young, to name a few. Check out that album, It's brilliant!

The new KD is good? I was debating cuz her last cd was kinda boring for me. The last KD cd I liked was the one with Summer Fling on it. ( can't remember the title)

I hear my daughter's music mostly, like Miranda Cosgrove (I love a certain remix of Kissin You, I must admit) and Jennette McCurdy. And I love this song "Freak the Freak Out" by another teeny-bopper singer. (do not judge me, it's very nice to be out of the Wiggles and Blue Clues eras!!!!!) ;)
And I have the Crystal Visions cd in the car, and the little boy I take care of now loves Stevie Nicks, after seeing her sing on Oprah, and now he likes hearing her when I am driving him home. He claps and goes "ya!" every now and then. Too cute!

All the hype's actually gotten me to re-open my Stevie catalogue. I've been listening to the Trouble In Shangri La album quite a bit.... and The Wild Heart.
I've also been listening to some old demos which I've resparked a love for after hearing Secret Love. Although I always feel guilty listening to those.....
But as for non Stevie/Mac:
Avril Lavigne's "Goodbye Lullaby"....Sweet Thing's self titled album....Hmm....The Tragically Hip's entire discography really. Man, how can you tell I'm Canadian?

I've been listening to Adele's "21" and the Foo Fighter's "Wasting Light" which are both terrific records. Adele's song "Set Fire to the Rain" is the best new song I've heard this year - which I'm sure will be replaced once "In Your Dreams' drops.
Also, bought Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush" on vinyl last weekend.. which is, imho, his best work. The remastered vinyl is beautiful.
