To us fans, there are many things that make Stevie memorable to us. What do you think her most iconic "thing" is?

Kinda a broad question, but I'd have to say her clothing. Most notably, her usage of ruffly chiffon and batwings :).

Definetly her clothes. They're AMAZING. <3
Oh mannn. What I wouldn't give to raid her closet... Even just for an hour!

wondering if "her affairs" should have been one of the choices???

i wouldn't call them "affairs" so much as i'd call them her "relationships" or even "hook ups." But affairs....no.

My choice wasn't there namely the top hat so I voted for the boots.

This was a very cleverly-designed question,
and I mean that in a nice, complimentary way. :)

For me... IŽd choose unconventional, expressive and interesting voice, but from these options I chose definitely tambourine :)

I would say for the general public, the outfits are what people associate with Stevie Nicks (batwings, chiffon, etc.) To me, looking at a pair of platform boots or a tambourine screams Stevie! The relationships...not so much. It's funny, but for all of my Stevie fandom years, I never really gave much thought to her personal relationships. I was a little intrigued during The Dance era and her potential re-hook up with Lindsey, but other than that, I had NO idea who Stevie was involved with, when it was actually happening. Does that make sense?

What would your choice have been?

Shawls and twirling!!!! How could I have forgotten?! I'd WAY rather have these two than the pendants.

Oh I think when you mention Stevie Nicks to people who know her, they automatically think of platform boots and the clothes. So it's sort of a toss up. But really, I think the whole entire image of long blonde hair, boots, and clothes are what people think of.

Write in candidate: the voice.

^My vote, too.

Even people who don't like it recognize it as being unique (the goat thing).

There's also her style of songwriting. I liked how LB called it "Kind of a stream-of-consciousness style." in an interview.

Since none of the options was her "clothes", I opted for the Stevie trademark boots.

That reminds me that I watched Little Big Town perform on Conan the other night and when they took out a tamborine, I definitely thought of Stevie.

Every single time I see one of those crescent moon tambourines, I think of Stevie. They are definitely one of her modern hallmarks.

Most iconic thing? Could it be changing her stories every time she does an interview? Uh-oh. I'm in deep trouble now! KIDDING! Ha-ha! Well, she is a Gemini!

P.S. Please don't beat me, Ledgies! I'm just a worthless newbie!:o

Funny! I am sure you'll catch some Ledgie Hell for that comment, even though you are right, she DOES change her stories!!!!!!!!!!

Of these, I voted for the boots.
But really I think there are a few things that rank ahead of them:
- the voice
- the twirling

And a few "things" that rank just behind the boots:
- Sharon & Lori:lol:
- the shawls
- the decorated microphone stand
- long blond hair
- the dramatic exits/entrances to change clothes (and do other things, too, in the old days)

I definatly think it was her beautiful stage clothes in the Tusk era... Which was kinda a cool image to casually dress like Stevie in 79 to '84:D So that would be iconic in a fashion sense to me..
But since clothing was not an option, i will go with this iconic package ::D Boots, Bat Wings & Hair..

I don't know if the general public realizes it's chiffon, but I voted for "chiffon" to encompass her wardrobe as a whole. I think her style is really famous and I always see her name come up in fashion articles or conversations that have nothing to do with music. Michele
