Hmm after listening to this I am not quite sure what to think. I hate the beginning part and most of the song. I am so disappointed now because I love the Fame and the Fame Monster.

Half of this song is an exact clone of "Bad Romance." She really has nothing new to say.

Its a really cool song, better than the great Born this Way. The album cover is funny though.

Agreed.

.....it's going to go straight to number 1, unfortunately. Her new album is sounding like a recycled version of her first one.

Kelly Clarkson's 'Judas' is ten times better than this one....

Dear Gaga,

For the love of God (Judas, or martinis - your choice), quit while you're "ahead."

I am so sick of her, I swear. God forbid I should set foot in a gay bar without hearing some 15 minute remake of one of her ****ty songs.

She's not gonna go much further if she keeps spitting out the same stuff over and over and over. Mix it up, Gaga. Get off your disco stick and work. Not just on your look.

The album cover is funny though.

The album cover is horrendous. It makes Street Angel look like an album cover all other album covers should aspire to be as great as.

Still, I loooove Judas. Sure, it's a remake of Bad Romance. But Bad Romance was a remake of Poker Face. If it ain't broke...

Boy, she's run out of material fast.
I like a few of Gaga's songs, but I've always felt that she takes herself way too seriously as an innovator/artist when her sound really isn't that original. Truer with every release.

Also, Truth be told. She's a talented woman. She's just not using it at this point. She's got it on auto-pilot. Less dance beats. More organic music might work.

Agreed-- she could do a lot more with her skill than she is.

Love the song! Love the artwork! Love it all! :) I think it sounds completely different from what's normally on the radio. It's quite a gem.

Very true. People are quick to judge because of her immense popularity. GaGa enjoys her work and she just wants to make her fans happy. I'm a happy fan! I love her music, fashion, and the entire world she has created for her fans. Not everyone understands her, but that's just how it goes. I'll never understand why people would love someone like Lil Wayne, but that doesn't mean I don't respect him for doing his own thing.

I'm glad the members of this forum offer up their mature opinions instead of coming across as hateful. One thing that really gets to me is when people write comments on YouTube talking about how much that hate her guts and wishing she was dead. I think that's just plain sick.

My wife pre-ordered the album.......sooooooooooooo I'll be hearing it one way or the other. We'll see if it's the Fame/fame Monster part 9000. Cause she has the first to so i know every re-treaded note. I do hope there's some material that branches out.....I do. Otherwise 3 albums in, and she'll be branded in my eyes, a 1 trick pony. We shall see.

This song leaves me so much more unimpressed! And I was holding out some hope after hearing the dreck that is "Born This Way" (don't even get me started). From the songs I've heard so far, she is going to fall a little off her pedeatal with this album. Sure it will be an instant hit, but after the glitter fades, this is worrisome. Judas is totally recycled GaGa fast food crap with lots of syrup and sprinkles, as well as the kitchen sink thrown in to distract. :distress: It's looking like LG peaked with the Fame Monster:cool:

I was listening to The Fame and The Fame Monster this morning and I've come to think that this new album, really isn't that recycled.

It has a complete different sound than her last two albums. I mean, compare this stuff to Paparazzi, Telephone, Eh Eh (nothing else I can say), and if you wanna shy away from the singles, it doesn't sound anything like Monster or Dance in the Dark, boys boys boys or Glitter and Grease.

I really like the sound of this new album, and I'm really looking forward to its release. Although, I am much more excited for Stevie's new album :p

Exactly. The "sound" of this new music is just The Fame or TFM with more heavy handed, amplified, over processed and over produced rubbish, with the same old melody lines and nothing new or interesting to say. She has jumped the shark. I'm sure her young teen to twentysomething audience will eat this crap up like Taco Bell's artificially enhanced ground beef grande combos. ick.

Chris and Brian, I'm happy that you enjoy it, I truly am .Personally, I just had higher hopes that LG could deliver some integral songwriting, something more organically artistic instead of relying too heavily on studio trickery and dense european dance music. It's all subjective and perhaps the best is yet to come from the album. But I'm worried, just not impressed with these songs. Born This Way in particular was a complete let down to me, I cannot fathom that song for one second, and Judas is only slightly better:shrug:

I am indifferent when it comes to Lady Gaga. She is definitely interesting and artistic, but she just never captures me. In fact, I never gave her any mind until I saw her 2009 VMA performance, which caught my attention. But that was the only thing she ever did that really captivated me. Judas and Born This Way are just meh to me. Granted I don't listen to much pop/dance music to begin with, but lyrically and musically I just don't get it. But that is just me.

I'm almost 40, and while Gaga annoyed me thoroughly in the beginning (Madonna 2.0), I've grown to like and appreciate her music and the message she's putting out to her fans about equality and opportunity. I love Born This Way - though I can sing Express Yourself along to it - but this Judas track is just meh.

I'm sure that after I hear it 758 times that I'll change my tune, but right now I don't even hear a song in there; it just sounds like a bunch of automated remix-beats thrown together over some vocals.

Maybe her next single will grab me, but Judas doesn't.

The choice of singles, so far, is questionable. I'm not a fan of "Born This Way," but I understand why it's the lead single. She's been talking about this particular song and its message for over a year, promising her younger fans that she was writing an anthem just for them.

It did debut at #1 (only 19 songs in Billboard history have debuted at #1) and stayed there for 6 weeks. According to Billboard, "Judas" just might debut in the #1 spot based on just two days of sales and radio play. ( It was leaked, forcing Interscope to send it to iTunes early.) If not #1, it will arrive in the #2 spot.

I can hear the hook in "Judas" but overall the song doesn't grab me.

She has dozens of vastly superior, unreleased songs - many just voice and piano/keyboards - and I hope she finds an outlet for those.

Interestingly, she has re-recorded "Born The Way" as a country/rock song ("The Country Road Version") which is a better vehicle for her voice and doesn't recall "Express Yourself" in the slightest. Another song on the new album is the ballad "You and I," which she has performed live. She brought in Mutt Lange (who co-wrote/produced all of Def Leppard and Shania Twain's biggest) to produce the album version. Clarence Clemmons (Sax player from the E Street Band) plays on two or three songs, which he said are rock songs with a different vibe than the first two singles.

Oh, don't know if this has made its way around: Stevie talking about meeting Lady Gaga, who said that she combats writers block by thinking: "What would Stevie Do?"

I'm going to assume they were introduced by the one man they have in common: Jimmy Iovine.

Stevie Nicks discusses meeting Lady Gaga

I feel I had already written this. But maybe that was a different thread... In under 4 years, the woman has given us 3 records, AND has been constantly touring. For someone who is running herself into the ground, I think her new songs (I think we've only heard 3 from the new album) are awesome. As for her originality, this album is supposed to be more rock. I think everyone will be a little suprised once it's released. Can't wait. Gaga, like Stevie, can do no wrong in my eyes.

Me too. I want to hear an album without all the cold synthesized hard layers Gaga's a great vocalist.....One does not hear it it with all the sh*t piled on top. Like, Gaga unplugged would make my day. I hope she's smart enough to do that.

I think that's bull****. Gaga is just like her bestie Perez Hilton. They will say anything to snuggle up to someone famous. Didn't she also say that she did that with Whitney Houston, as well?

I loved her first album, but she is continually rehatching what she has already done. I'm not liking the new stuff at all.

Like it or not, Gaga's the biggest thing in music. She doesn't NEED to drop names to snuggle up with ANYONE. If anything, Gaga dropping Stevie's name will ulitmatly help Stevie.

"Born This Way" really grew on me and I like it a lot more than I initially like "Judas". "Judas" kind of reminds of me "Bad Romance" musically but it had a good beat and I like it more than I usually like the most industrial sounding tunes.

But what is going ON with her little beef with Al Yankovic? It is really making her look like someone who takes herself way too seriously. I'm sure she doesn't care, but I don't think it's doing her any favors.

I don't recall that. Whitney doesn't' write songs, so I don't think she'd channel Whitney to get through writer's block.

Gaga is a rocker at heart, and her boss is Jimmy Iovine, who once said that Gaga spent hours drillling him for info. I'll take her at her word. That might change. I used to think Bono was sincere....

I don't know how anyone could hate this woman. She's so intelligent. Skip to 1:44 to hear her talk about her 'children' (songs). It reminded me of Stevie.
