Time to vote for your least favorite Stevie song from the white album.

Crystal; Landslide; Rhiannon

Poll closes in 4 days.

It's not a widely held opinion, but for me it's Rhiannon. One of the Most Overrated songs in Macdom, IMHO.

This was a hard one. But just for the sheer fact I'm sick of hearing it not of my own will on television and such, I'm voting Landslide. Come on talent show hopefuls/radio presenters/miscellaneous...She sings more than one song!

Crystal; I find myself prefering the Buckingham Nicks version. Landslide and Rhiannon, as tired as they may be to most, are still brilliant songs.

I just cannot vote for any of them. All great songs.

I voted Crystal, even though I'm really SICK of the other two. It's easily the weakest song.

Rhiannon.

It's not even a top 25 Stevie song for me.

Like with Christine's I can't choose one. I love them all.

Everybody print screen this, I'll probably never say it again.

I can't even vote in this poll, because I love all of those songs so much. They're brilliant. Rhiannon/Landslide are certainly overplayed and oversung at this point, but.. doesn't change the fact that they're spectacular songs, in my opinion. And I absofrickenlutely love Crystal so I can't vote for it either.

Yeah, there's no way I could pick any of these songs as a least favorite, they're too perfect. I have a feeling this will get easier with each album.

I must admit I was worried about which one you were gonna pick. I'm so proud of your answer!

Crystal. Lindsey had NO PLACE singing this song.

This is way easier than the Christine poll - I honestly don't think any of her songs on this album are bad. But for Stevie, it's easy - Rhiannon. I just don't care for the studio version much at all. The live version on The Dance is perfection, tho.

I think the FM version of Crystal is sublime.

I voted Crystal, but only because the Buckingham Nicks version is superior to my ears.

I much prefer the Buckingham Nicks version. Lindsey sounds like he's been castrated.

I MUCH prefer the single version of Rhiannon. I love the extra guitar work!

All three are great, but I went with 'Crystal'. Lindsey's vocal is fine, but I resent that we never got Stevie on lead when we should have. Settling for the 1990s voice is not enough. We are forever denied her 1970s voice, which would have been amazing, and I can't forgive this slight. (Forever denied unless a demo emerges...)

I voted for "Crystal" because it's just the weakest of the 3 choices. I much prefer Stevie's solo version on the "Practical Magic" soundtrack to this one.

Honestly, I don't think '70s Stevie could've topped Lindsey's vocal on Crystal. But I've never been in love with her early vocals

Not sure how she would've worked on lead but the harmony is lovely... as for the Practical Magic version, completely unlistenable to me just for Sheryl Crow :distress:

Crystal has always been a favourite of mine and certainly the stronger of these three... Landslide on the other hand i've never really got into. To be frank it bores the hell outta me, I just cannot comprehend the hype  soz

I tend to agree. The first time I ever heard Landslide, it was this version. All others have fallen far short, and have bored me to tears:

I think her early lead vocals were overly mannered. She started to improve on Rumours, and really got a lot better with Tusk. Her harmonies on the FM version of Crystal were gorgeous, but I don't think she could've done the lead vocal justice.

I like Sheryl Crow. :) The PM version of Crystal is...interesting, I guess. I don't think it's unlistenable, I just don't think it's anywhere near as beautiful as the FM version.

Landslide is another one that I prefer the later live versions of. The studio version is nice - not boring like Rhiannon. But the later versions (The Dance, Soundstage) have more tooth.

I actually completely adore the Practical Magic Crystal because Stevie's older voice just has so much wisdom. It just seems so fitting when you hear her sing the lines:

How the faces of love have changed, turning the pages
And I have changed oh but you, you remain ageless...

That's an excellent point, Louie. I actually can't believe I never thought about that, especially since that same lyrical maturity is what makes latter day Landslide work for me.
I loved '75 Crystal because of the harmonies; it's probably sweetest Stevie and Lindsey have ever sounded. As a result, I don't think I even gave PM Crystal a chance, really. But you're right: the lyrics are better suited to her mature voice. With that in mind, I honestly think I'm going to be able to warm up to it. So seriously, thank you!

I would have to vote for Crystal. Weakest lyrics and weakest vocal of her songs on the album. Anyone know why Lindsey sang it?

Rhiannon and Landslide are among Fleetwood Mac's finest efforts of all time. There's no way I would have voted for them.It leaves Crystal,I really like it but this song is just not equal to those two.
