So who's going to the show tonight? After much indecision, I got my ticket. Those of you at Oprah, did she give you tickets? I'm hoping not to be completely surrounded by Rod fans.
Looking forward to getting rained on when the show lets out!

I'm still looking for a ticket. None were given on Oprah. I'm really picky about seats at united center. I pretty much only want to sit in the first four rows. I found some on a broker site for $235 in third row but they are only selling two and I don't know anyone else who wants to go and spend even face value. I'm going to keep looking.

Rod Stewart has a fan club--I ended up buying tickets from a scalper that was selling "fan club tickets" at a hefty price.

I ended up going with a broker. I did get front row, but I'm on the side, so I may not be too happy. I'm hoping to be able to move toward the center. I'm surprised Oprah didn't give the audience tickets. Good luck!
Tango, I ended up going with a broker for Fleetwood Mac tickets in 2009 as well. The old wait for tickets to pop up on Ticketmaster doesn't seem to be working in this market anymore!

Which broker did you use? Were you able to buy only one?

I did not get any either. I'd only go if in first couple of rows. And not sure I know of anyone who would spend the money like I would for that ticket!
Not surprised by Oprah.

Gold Coast tickets, and I was able to get only one. Also Vivid seats was selling singles from what I remember.

I'm gonna go but my seat are on the right side of the stage and we probably won't be able to see ANYTHING! But hey...never seen her solo, at least I'm gonna hear her!

Have a GREAT time everybody!
Oprah giving away tickets would be hard I think. I guess it would have to be random. What if you were sitting with someone next to you and got a better ticket than you? Plus, not sure how many seats could be donated/purchased to accommodate the entire audience.
I think an advance copy of the CD would have been a smart move though.

Oprah would have to have had a HUGE block of tickets for the show and that's not happening.

I will be there, Erin! I still think we'll be surrounded by Rod fans though...hopefully they won't be mad that we're standing!

BTW...not sure if it's been mentioned here yet - but Sheryl Crow is supposed to performing with Stevie tonight!

I'm surprised the audience did not get something. Since the concert is so close, I can see no tickets being given out. But everyone should have gotten IYD, perhaps.

It would be leaked all over the place by "friends" in no time if they did that. Including here.

Well, I don't mean giving it to them right then and there, but perhaps giving out vouchers so they could get one as soon as it was released.
Heck, give them all some La Mer in Stevie's honor:laugh:.
I actually don't like that particular brand of promotion, but since Oprah has popularized it, I guess I have come to expect that audience members are always going to come away with something, at least on that show.

As for Stevie being a walking La Mer advertisement, I've given them thousands of dollars on various products including the body wash, hand lotion, toner, 2 different cleansers, 2 different moisturizers, and lifting face serum. I should seriously be charging Stevie for this sh*t! Thanks to her I can add La Mer products to my list of addictions.
