I saw that tyhe release date was here and I did not mean to offend. I meant more that I wondered if the actual tracks were listed there or not. This could well be possible and the page just didn't load right for me or something, that's all.

Barnes & Noble is showing a CD with bonus tracks but oddly, that edition is listed for less than the regular CD which makes no sense whatsoever--neither item comes with a track listing or any additional information. It's why I haven't preordered anything yet--seeing what shakes out in the next couple of weeks or so in case there is a bonus edition of some type.

Can they really call it a "bonus track" if it's on a CD that one can easily purchase in the stores?
Are there only going to be a limited number of the "bonus track" CDs? Are they going to be exclusive to certain retailers? If "yes" to either, then I say it's safe to call it a bonus track. But if I can walk into any B&N, or go to any online retailer, and choose between either the 13-track CD and the "bonus track" CD, it seems a bit...stupid...to call the track a "bonus."
To me, it makes more sense to offer the bonus track to only those people who pre-order, or who purchase from iTunes, or from one exclusive retailer. Then it truly is a "bonus," and not just a "I bought the version with 14 tracks" gimmick.

That is their point. Why try to increase sales by expanding the fan base when you can entice the existing fan base to buy multiple copies? I won't be surprised when the iTunes version has an Album Only bonus track and the amazon version has one too, but of a different track. Meaning you have to buy the whole album from each retailer to get the one new track. And they wonder why people pirate albums...

Barnes and Noble does put out exclusive versions of albums. I have a couple of Carly Simon CDs that have B&N-exclusive bonus tracks on them. So, yes, if this is the real deal, this will be a bonus version. My fear (and hope!) is that every major retailer will have their own "bonus" configuration with a different exclusive bonus track. :blob1: Won't happen, but one can dream.

I'm sure Dave was great as a producer and a pusher to get this album somewhere artistically.....but when it comes to him singing on the record, I'm not so confident.

That is exactly what I am wondering Louie. Part of me thinks they are slapping the TISL version on as a "bonus track" kinda like they made Mirror Mirror a B-side to Blue Demin

Honestly, I'd be kind of underwhelmed with My Heart as a bonus track. Technically, I know we're not supposed to have heard it, and if it was just a demo that had been circulated, I'd feel differently. But it's already been done, as a fully completed track.
I seem to remember Shadow of My Shadow being listed as a song "not in circulation" on the old Sara Rhiannon site; maybe that's one of the "vault songs" she pulled and recorded for In Your Dreams.

I don't have the link, but a while back before the tracklist with "New Orleans" popped up, Jondalar posted:

Well don't thank me. I got an email from a friend asking me if I knew anything about them. We both ended up scouring the internet for Shadow of My Shadow and could not find the actually song. I guess we just assumed after searching that it was Straight Back. Do you know how many times Stevie has used the word Shadow or Shadow of Shadow in song. Tons. Still, if Shadow of my Shadow is one of the actual bonus tracks, then we had early iformation from that site. It also means that she able to keep one song a secret.

Based on the dreamy/fairytale theme of this album, I was really hoping for "Have No Heart" as a bonus. I think it'd fit in perfect beside Annabel Lee. But I'll take "My Heart" ... love it too, just not as much as the other. But, I'm not complaining. Any bonus tracks are better than none. ;)

The Bonus Track from Nobody's Daughter. Happy Ending Story. It was a great album, but that is the song I listen to all the time.
Well if "Shadow Of My Shadow" is an additional bonus track, that would make a total of 15 tracks which corresponds with earlier information regarding the number of songs recorded for this album. Depending on who you listen to, there could also be a 16th track somewhere.
PS I would be surprised if "No Heart" had not been re-recorded and imagine it has to be the song Stevie mentioned having previously wrote with Mike Campbell. I understand the point made about "Mirror Mirror" being used back in 1994 but that was a b-side, not a bonus album track. For the record, I consider "My Heart" to be one of the worst things she's done so I would hope that a new version would be an improvement - I'm just glad it wasn't considered decent enough to make the final cut, which is encouraging in regard to the album.

Well I think that's a matter of opinion, but I do agree with you.
Supposedly, the version of Cheaper Than Free in IYD is supposed to be either a different mix or it was recorded with more of a "rock" vibe. I'm hoping that's true, but either way, the song is special to Stevie, so that's what matters to me.

A snippet of the IYD version has been posted on here,It is not more rock at all but straight up old school country and western and an improvement IMHO.

To each their own ..I noticed that you just listed "Nothing Ever Changes" as one of your top 10 favorite songs..a dud that surely should have been jettisoned in favor of "Violet and Blue"..so there you go...
Well... If its me thats driving you to this madness theres's just one thing that IIIID like to say... OK Cheaper than Free can stay if it means No one gets a time machine and has Stevie axe Nothing Ever Changes. And yea I like Violet and Blue a lot. if it was a top 20 list VAB would've mostly likely been on the second half. But it still doesnt fit the dark moody tone of the last 4 songs on the wild heart. NEC is dark rcoking, while Violet and blue is upbeat and happy sounding.

Sorry guys but am I the ionly one who gets a little annoyed at the different bonus tracks for difefrent places?
The UK release date has been confirmed as at the end of 27 June so as a good Stevie fan I preordered from amazon.com so I could get the album before then and as close to May 3rd as possible, only to find that I'll either have to buy a second copy of the album on 27 June to get the bonus track or cancel my preorder and just wait until then (which is not an option because I'd hate to know a Stevie album is out there and not have it!)
I know it was my choice to preorder and I know it's not unusual to have different bonus tracks for different places but it's always a pratice that's bothered me.
I'm really excited that the UK Bonus Track is My Hearth though! I also don't mean to drag this thread but ya know...grrrr!

^This. I don't know if I'd even put it on Rumours. I think Silver Springs became much more powerful because of her choice to resurrect it for The Dance. I think had it been on Rumours or Tusk, it wouldn't hold near the power and significance it does today.

Gotta disagree completely there. Nothing Ever Changes is a brilliant song, she has so much passion and anger in her vocals; the latter half of the album would have been worse without it. NEC-SOB-BATB flows together reallllly well.
Violet and Blue is a brilliant song, but, remove Gate and Garden, not Nothing Ever Changes
I really love the original Silver Springs too, and think it works really well inbetween Songbird and The Chain, but that's just me. :o
I really like Cheaper than Free, so far anyway, there's just something about it that really clicks with me. I think I'm starting to love the idea of it as the album closer, I just can't explain why.

I dunno, I think I'm changing my mind about My Heart. I've always liked it and thought it should've been put on TISL over That Made Me Stronger. I do hope this is a different version of it (and I'm sure it is) - it'll be interesting to see how much it's changed from the TISL outtake.

As for Silver Springs, I think the original order with it following Go Your Own Way and preceding The Chain was spot on. With Songbird closing the album after Gold Dust Woman. I believe this is the way the Rumours DVD-audio is.

I would be surprised if "No Heart" had not been re-recorded and imagine it has to be the song Stevie mentioned having previously wrote with Mike Campbell.
Phil, I agree, all signs point to this being the Mike C. track Stevie dug back out that he talked about last summer. And because of the songs position on the HMV site track listing -smack dab in the middle - point to it being re-recorded, which also fits Mike's story of them going back in and making it better.
My Heart is an ok song for me, I was happy to get it as a completed outtake from TISL, and it arguably could have/should have replaced That Made Me Stronger, but I rarely listen to it, kinda like TMMS. It has room to improve. IMO the chorus is what needs the most improving. It just sorta lays there, and goes nowhere. The verses and the finale are my favorite parts of the TISL version. So I'll be thrilled, if the song is greatly improved upon. But I'll never turn away a bonus song, bring them on, the more the better. At this stage in Stevie's recording career, I'll take what I can get:D
So this song could also be the 2nd Mike C track, along with "For What It's Worth", meaning that only 1 MC/SN track made the official track list. Hmmmmm.....can't wait to devour the liner notes.

On eBay right now, that seller has the DAT of "Mirror, Mirror" which was remixed for placement as the US b~side of "Blue Denim" in 1994. That was 1994. Dredging up an old 1984 recording of "Mirror, Mirror" and slapping it on "Blue Denim" kinda fits that weird, hap hazard era. Plus, Stevie probably wanted to keep "If You Were My Love" and "I Call You Missing" to re~record once again later, since they didn't make it on Street Angel.
So, I really doubt Stevie is putting the old fully~finished/not a "demo!"/1999~2000 version of "My Heart" in the MIDDLE of her UK CD of In Your Dreams.
I'm happy to buy several copies of In Your Dreams! It'll almost be like the old days with foreign singles with rarer b~sides! Yay! New "My Heart"!!!!!

Yes, I've been following everything pretty close, and I do not recall anyone stating The Ghosts Are Gone is one of the Mike C. tracks . Jondalar, you'll have to produce that article for me to eat my words:laugh:. It's just a petty detail at this point. We'll find out soon enough, but I'm still of the mind that Mikes 2 tracks that Stevie keeps referring to are: My Heart & For What It's Worth. I mean, technically she is now officially releasing My Heart.
BombaySapphire3, I remember the Amanda Ghost co-write too. I think it was on Amanda's official web site listing her writing credits. I'll check it out. I hope it's true, because Amanda is an incredible songwriter (she co-wrote "You're Beautiful" w/ James Blunt & "Beautiful Liar" w/Beyonce), and she also has a great voice. Not sure she records anymore, just writes for other artists, she a big record executive now.

Ummm, I think in one of the first articles written about the album, it was mentioned that Ghosts is Gone is a Mike Campbell track. If the track is a threeway, then that's fine with me. Stevie needed new imput. She was repeating herself over and over again. She has written hundreds, maybe over a thousand songs. All songwriters need help bringing out the different tangents eventually. What would of happened if Stevie never recorded Talk to Me or Seven Wonders. Her career would of really hit the skids early. Bonnie Raitt lives off other peoples song. Sheryl Crow cowrites a lot.
P.S. My Heart is not on the official album, so even if it was a Mike Campbell track it wouldn't count.

I agree. Almost everyone today co-writes. Stevie needed a fresh angle this time out. Besides, I got over Stevie recording other writers material and heavily co-writing songs pretty much after Rock A Little was released. If the songs are good, that's what I care about the most anymore. Stevie unique style and personality always comes through.

Until the album comes out, nothing is for sure. Maybe the Mike Campbell is actually You May Be the One. Maybe Dave is getting sole songwriting credit on Cheaper Than Free, since it was slated only for his album in the first place. At this point, a good album any way she can get it would be nice.

I believe Courtney also offered "Malibu " to Stevie if only she had taken it and swapped it out for the self penned TMMS on TISL.. I concur that Stevie is so unique she can really put her indelible stamp on the songs of others and make them her own so if they are good songs I have no problem with her covering them.

First, why would information from the website of a legitimate music publisher, listing "The Ghost is Gone" as a Nicks/Ghost co-write be less conclusive than this article you seem to recall, claiming that the song is a Nicks/Campbell track?
Second, Stevie said herself that "You May Be the One" was the first song that she and Dave wrote together. What makes you think it's the other Mike Campbell track?
We know that the two Campbell tracks recorded are "For What it's Worth" and "My Heart." Why are people questioning this??

Courtney Love and some Canadian musician specifically wrote "When It All Falls Apart" for Stevie in 1997. This was when a lot of "alternative" rockers were constantly referring to Stevie as an influence. I'd have to dig out my old resources and fanzines to list some more.
The night of The Grammys in February 1998, Billy Corgan told the press that he had session work with Stevie the next day and through the whole week!
I love Trouble In Shangri~la, but I wonder what would have happened if Stevie had stuck to that alterna~route, rather than marrying Crow.
No one ever said Mike Campbell writes words for songs. I was just Que lastima!~ing about Stevie singing some ghost~writer's words on what WOULD have been Stevie's ONLY album where she wrote or co~wrote every single song! And, yes, "My Heart" is sequenced in for the UK ~ it COUNTS! ;)

I think what some people are getting into a snit about is co-written lyrics. They think Stevie should never record anything except songs where she writes all the lyrics. That seems to be their main objection (which has always been over-the-top and even a little vitriolic, to me) to Sheryl Crow (someone correct me if I'm wrong; I have never gotten the Sheryl hate at all).
A "ghost-writer" is someone who writes things that are then credited to another person. Amanda Ghost is not a "ghost-writer" if she is credited (which she is).

Though Jondalar, you were pretty damn adamant the "The Ghost Are Gone" was a Mike C. track! Where upon, now we have more and more evidence that most likely the 2 Mike Campbell collaborations/songs Stevie keeps referring to, that are on this record (official track list or "Bonus" addition track list) are: For What It's Worth AND My Heart.:wavey:
It's just a petty detail that keeps tripping us up and getting in the way. I hope we can move beyond this & just enjoy and talk about the damned *bonus* track already:laugh::laugh:
I'm thrilled to hear a new version of My Heart on the UK import, I'm sure it's had a face lift. And I hope we get a different *bonus* in the U. S. Yeah, it does sorta suck apples to buy potentially different In Your Dreams versions. But, on the other hand, it's not everyday that we get a new Stevie Nicks CD or song for that matter. So I'll lap mine up happily and eagerly with immense pleasure:nod:

But...here goes, being that "My Heart" was written over 10 years ago, How does that make Stevie's statement or their collaboration "false" in any sense of the word!? That does not compute. Perhaps, you're having trouble ar.tic.u.lat.ing.
Again, Mike C. reported last year in an interview, that he was brought into Stevie's new recording sessions because Stevie wanted to re-do/revisit an old song they had previously worked on. Thus he went in and claimed "they" made the song even better. That sure sounds like" My Heart" - esp. now that the song is showing up on a tracklisting.
In addition, Mike also had recently written a new "track" that Stevie loved, which she wrote lyrics/melody on top of. Mike commented that he was very proud of the final version. This is likely the song that became "For What It's Worth".
So I suss up that these two songs are what Stevie is referring to as the "2 Mike Campbell tracks" on this record (bonus track or not) , most certainly.

When Stevie mentioned doing two songs with Mike Campbell, there was no way ANY of them could have known what was going to be on the final version of the album, and what would be a "bonus track."
Secondly, and I know I have mentioned this ad nauseam, Stevie said herself that You May Be The One was the first song that she and Dave wrote together, based on him going through her books of poetry. Why do you keep going back to the possibility of it being a Mike Campbell song?

know you didn't miss anything, Mike wrote two tracks that Stevie put words too that made the album, one of them is For What It's Worth... guessing about the other.
In February, Stevie said that Dave wrote 7 seven songs, and she wrote 5 two with Mike Campbell, I take it they tacked on Cheaper Than Free and then it became 13 track album

I think you all need to just let it go. We'll find out who wrote and co-wrote what when the album comes out.

BUT
I would rather a completely new song we haven't heard before. We already have a crystal clear copy of MH. Just food for thought.

I think people that are citing "For What It's Worth" and "My Heart" are probably correct. I don't think "You May Be The One" is it, because Stevie mentioned it as the first song that she wrote with Dave, and we know from an earlier interview that when they started the songwriting process that Dave pointed out a poem of hers from her book and said "Let's start with this one."

I haven't heard any other version of this other than what is on the record and I think her vocal is fantastic. I'm sure it was re-recorded. It sounded very new--including the track.

Yes!! Come on guys, lighten up! I said it was irritating about diofferent bonus tracks but didn't expect it to become a huge thing about writers etc...
Oh, and I hate to sound like the vopice of doom but hmv's website is notorious for incorrect information anyway so I wouldn't rely too much on it. I remembered that after my earlier post - d'oh!

Personally, 'if' and well to me thats a 'big' if there is some sort of 'deluxe' version of IYD (and to me there should be since this 'new' cd is 10 yrs + in the waiting for it and all) there should be a 2nd cd of remixes and outtakes/and unreleased/bonus songs. Than there should be a dvd included as well. This cd if its gonna be her last she needs to do it 'big' , but the little voice inside me says its not gonna happen. I wish I'd be surprised this time with something special but I'm just not so sure really. I'd like to be though. Really I don't want to purchase nothing til I know of the final, final product thats gonna exsist right now. No preorders here. Not this time anyway. Only time will tell. Really as fans we deserve the 'best' and well sometimes I don't think we've gotten that. With that said , I do hope for the best with IYD, guess we'll have to wait til May 3rd or there after.:D ps: I do think we deserve a deluxe version since well we never got those other solo LP re-issues at all (bummer) and really its not a deluxe version (to me ) if theres only 1 or 2 extras on it. Deluxe means more 2 cds or cd/dvd combo something special really.

Here is the list that shows the mysterious track Shadow of my Shadow. This is what friend of mine was asking to find out about. It's not listed under Fleetwood Mac but Stevie. Everything has appeared on album, but this. We know My Heart is going to be a bonus track. I'm thinking this may be it. Sorta doubt it is Straight Back.

Seriously everything he/she has revealed could have been gleaned from all bits of information - for those of us paying close attention - from the beginning of this project all the way till now. The listening party of sorts w/ Chris Nicks, Stevie along with LiveNation western pres. in Dec.- was public on Facebook - to the little bits of information via press, twitter, what have you. He seemed to be stringing all this information and weaving together vague descriptions of which we already knew. If he was a real fan and heard "My Heart" supposably back in Dec. that should have stood out;), besides the fact that we threw it in his face. Blatant fail.

LOL There is something that doesn't make sense. Stevie said that her and Dave wrote 7 songs together, and 2 songs were written with Mike Campbell, 3 songs are hers alone. That's only 12. And if one of the Mike Campbell songs is actually My Heart, doesn't that mean that one of the songs that made non-bonus album could be hers alone. Am I missing something here. Cheaper than Free is the 13th song. It replaced My Heart. What about the other song? The album was 13 tracks all along with My Heart. I guess I just wonder how she got 12 songs all together.

ARrrg. Not. This. Again. My short and simple response is:
14 tracks were supposably recorded & considered for IYD.
CTF was recorded originally just for Dave's album.
Stevie & WBR then had to have CTF on IYD.
Bringing the total # of songs that we know of to 15 - based on just various interview's and tweets, which obv is not concrete fact.
As far as who wrote what, and if we will actually see another *bonus track* besides 'My Heart'. I'll patiently wait out the remaining 3 1/2 weeks till getting the official released information.

Musically it is similar of course---melodies don't change no matter who produces. the tempo is about the same. This demo has a thin sound to me---her record is full, hip and now sounding. I had never heard this demo and was never familiar with any song I heard on the record. There were no titles and no lyrics. When I heard this demo, I recognized the chorus from the record because the b/u vocals were what struck me--Sharon and Lori's mix was much better than on this youtube version. Stevie's vocal in MUCH better. Nobody makes new records and keeps a vocal they did over 10 years ago. I don't remember a song starting with the lyric "shadow of my shadow" but I could be wrong. I've said all along I am in the music biz and not someone who has encyclopedic knowledge of her demos and unreleased songs.

:eek::laugh: We're in the home stretch. For me, the hardest and longest time has passed. The time from Jan.13th, when we heard SL, all the way till the end of March! I'm so ready for this record. But this nice spring weather is keeping me occupied in these final few days. I'm just so impressed that they've kept a tight lid on any leaks thus far.

I'm with you on being so ready for this record...I can almost taste it but for me, this is the hardest part. I've been OK until now but now that I know it's gonna come out in a few weeks, I"m just dying, especially after the sizzle reel. Hearing bits of those four songs really got me jones-ing for this!!
