Yes, it's on the side but the center of the side section. I just called the Fantasy Springs box office at 10 am the day the tickets went on sale and said "I would like a front row seat for Stevie Nicks" and the guy said "o.k." and I paid for it. It was really too good to be true and it's funny because I was on hold for 15 minutes and about to hang up when someone finally answered. Guess it was meant to be.
Where are you sitting?

Anyone else going to a Hollywood Bowl show?

We havent totally decided yet...may fly from Vancouver to PS and then PS to Vegas. May get a car in PS and drive to Vegas, not sure. I think it would be the morning we'd be leaving PS tho. Can't wait either way :)

I know this sounds a bit ridiculous but I can't decide what to wear to this show. I can wear my standard Stevie "uniform" (black tank and black jeans) but that's boring. Then again she does it all the time . I doubt she'll notice but maybe I should just wear the same thing...
I do however have a very special outfit picked out for the birthday show. Watch out ya'll!!!

Here is my QUICK take on the show....Stevie is still obviously very ill.
She sounded great considering, but the crowd was very strange...like they were just there because someone handed them tix at the last minute and they didn't know Stevie or her songs! Very few of us acted....I don't know....EXCITED to be there! Lol.
I was fourth row and MY OPINION: Stevie didn't look happy or sad, just sick. We could see it in her eyes. Even her always perfect hair looked messy...and believe me, it's hard for me to criticize Stevie's looks. I felt as if she were lying down and resting and just jumped up to do the show. She picked at her right ear as if it were bothering her. Infected maybe? Either way she seriously should have postponed this show. Or just waited for her REAL fans to show up..because I have no idea why the majority of those people were there!
I say the above with so much respect and love for Stevie, lest any of you think that I was disappointed in her...I wasn't. I just feel for her and could not believe that crowd.

I get Stevie has been sick and I wish her the best.. but I would have been disappointed, not entirely surprised, if I traveled out to Vegas and this was the setlist.. I was toying with the idea.. I mean, the new album is so good and many of the songs are itching to be played live.
I love Stevie, but if she can't promote her new amazing music, how can she expect radio to.. I hope she gets back to 100% and adds at least 5 or 6 new songs to the setlist.

Typical Fantasy Springs behavior since they started cracking down on the audience. The last time Stevie played there they only let the people in the first row go to the stage-how about last night? Did you make it from the 4th row because I sure didn't-again the last time she was there. They literally threw a fan out from my row who kept trying to get to the stage. Anyway, I passed on the concert because of the way security handles the audience. The first ten rows of the middle section is reserved for tribal members and their tickets are given to them and they are never sold to the public so your observation is correct.
Sorry to hear she's still sick.

This is what concerns me about her touring for IYD. If people aren't on their feet clapping and dancing and singing along to the hits, she's going to have zero confidence and motivation to want to tour with new material. Sucks to hear. I really hope the Vegas crowd is full of chiffonheads. She needs to know we WANT to hear her and WANT to hear new stuff even more.

that's her fault , she spent the last ten years as an oldies act playing the same songs. Who ever is managing her should be replace .
I wouldn't have high hopes for Vegas she'll probably have a small stage set up in the middle of the stage that is already there maybe she'll pull out the 3 white curtains the blew over head during Landslide .

I read a post you did a few months ago regarding this venue when the date for this show was announced and decided to skip it for that reason. What Aholes.
Sucks that she's still sick. I'm here in Vegas now and will be seeing her tonight. At least I know what to expect regarding the set list. I kinda figured it would be that way because she simply hasn't had time to rehearse anything new. My Dad unexpectedly paid for my tickets and hotel for this gig, so that's why I made the 5 hour trek out here. So, I still plan to have fun and rock out tonight. Security isn't nearly as bad at the colluseum. And if there's no Edge walk because she's sick, then that's ok. I'm fortunate enough to also be going to the birthday show too, which I hope by then she will have had time to get perfectly well AND rehearse new songs.
I can't wait to hear Lindsay's full take on last nights show.

I think, right now, she really needs a new management team who understand her more than Liz does. Curt, that would be you and Christopher. You both seem to know her more than she knows herself.
At this time in her life every day is precious, especially now because she is not well & pneumonia is a serious illness! Did'nt Elizabeth Taylor have this before she died?

I don't buy the "she's been sick and hasn't had time to practice the new songs" line. Wasn't the Webster Hall show supposed to promote the new album? I can't imagine she would have done this tired setlist at the Webster Hall show with only Secret Love added as a kick-off to her new cd.

Elizabeth had seriously health problems for about 20 years, though. And she was also nearly 80.
Stevie does need to rest up - pneumonia is nothing to mess with nonetheless and if she doesn't allow herself to rest immensely and recover she is just going to prolong the illness. I hope she gets feeling better soon.

There was a edge walk, one never forgets the warm handshake from Miss Nicks! Not sure why someone said there wasn't, maybe due to security being disks! I had heard how hard they were last time Stevie was there & saw first hand myself and for that reason will never go back, Stevie or no Stevie! Lindsey had a bad experience too with security & there tribe rules!?!?
One last note, she really put her emotion in Love Is.....very powerful!! Oh and she mentioned after GDW about pulling the Az. desert spirit to the desert hear in Indio, don't quote me, something like that!
Now time to leave Indio (town sucks!) and off to Palm Springs to party & play~!! :woohoo:

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I actually feel bad for Stevie. She should have just cancelled these first few shows when she's obviously sick. I'm not thrilled with the set-list either, I paid a lot for my Las Vegas ticket, but I just wish she felt better. Then we could criticize everything, and I wouldn't care.

I'm thinking more about the Wiltern show--it is Stevie's birthday, and it's in LA. If Stevie does bring Sheryl Crow and Dave Stewart in, it seems possible that Lindsey might join them. It's close to home-- they are on good terms, and it's good PR.

Hey sorry guys. Stayed up a little late last night, drove home early this a.m. and got some zzz's.
It was a disappointment to say the least. As you can see, the set list sucked. I mean I wasn't thinking she was going to perform 4 new songs or anything but perhaps 2? I was also praying that she would pull just one out of the archives but in my dreams, right? Also keep in mind though this particular crow was there to hear the hits, nothing more.
To begin with, I did have first row but it was the very end seat on the side isle and I couldn't see sh*t. I really didn't worry too much at first though because I made buddies with security and it didn't seem like it was going to be too rough of a crowd. I thought for sure I'd be able to stand in front of the stage but that didn't even come close to happening.
So as someone mentioned they had the center section of the first 10 or so rows completely blocked off for the Indians. After the first song many of them were not in their seats so the security guard let me sit in an empty seat on the very end of the Indian section and as they started con ming in one of them yelled at the security guards and said "get her out of that seat, she's not an Indian". I was just slightly offended to say the least.
There really isn't anything special to say about the show or Stevie. She did speak a few times but I couldn't understand a word she was saying. She definitely did the "let's get this party started" line and the trilogy intro for Love Is. Several times I tried to go stand up there and they came and told me to go to my seat when I was only like 5 feet from it. The last time they asked me that I said, "Can I even dance in my seat?" and I was pissed when I said it.
I didn't notice a whole lot about the crowd because I was in the first row but there were very few hard-core fans. I don't even think I was able to enjoy the music very much because I was so pre-occupied with the fact that I was stuck in my seat and couldn't see her. Very obstructed side view anyway.
So overall, it kind of sucked. I mean she seemed to be better but definitely not in tip top shape or great spirits. Am I mad at Stevie? Hell no. Did I spend a sh*t load of money to barely see a terrible set list? Yes but I'd do the same thing all over again for the love of Stevie.
Thank God for the birthday show. I have no doubts it will make up for this. I hope you guys have a great time tonight in Vegas!
*It wasn't a real edge walk IMO but I guess I could be wrong. It was very brief and it's not like they let everyone rush the stage.

I don't buy the "she's been sick and hasn't had time to practice the new songs" line. Wasn't the Webster Hall show supposed to promote the new album? I can't imagine she would have done this tired setlist at the Webster Hall show with only Secret Love added as a kick-off to her new cd.
This scares the sh*t out of me.

Elizabeth had seriously health problems for about 20 years, though. And she was also nearly 80.
Stevie does need to rest up - pneumonia is nothing to mess with nonetheless and if she doesn't allow herself to rest immensely and recover she is just going to prolong the illness. I hope she gets feeling better soon.
hello...Elizabeth Taylor was an actress...let me see you guys do an hour to 2 hour show standing on your feet trying to move around and having been sick the entire time....accepting an oscar is highly the same thing...
Oh lawd! I'm going to laugh if her little birthday bash is set up to be an "intimate" concert with her fans... where she performs her same ole ancient setlist her fans are DYING to hear ONE MORE TIME!!!
I for one am happy to hear ANYTHING she is doing....ancient or not!! besides this isnt an IYD tour yet...its Stevie celebrating HER birthday with HER fans and she can sing whatever the heck she wants to...I for one think its amazing that she is as sick as she has been and is willing to have these shows and it really makes me  to think that there are people who dont appreciate that and who are more worried about her set list than her being well...

Thanks for the review Lindsay. Sorry to hear your experience was less than stellar. I also feel bad for Stevie, that she's still sick. Poor thing. :(
As far as the indians go and how they treated you - totally sh*tty! I'd write a letter to the casino, not that it would do much, but still. You should've told them you were a half- breed like Cher!
As said before, I'm sure the birthday show will be better in that she will have had time to rest and hopefully rehearse some new songs. Dave will be there and he seems to be good at pushing Stevie. I already put my "requests" in to his twitter. :)
I'm currently kicking back in my hotel room drinking a sugar free red bull. Soon I will freshen up and then head down to Caesars. I'm going to show Stevie all the love and support I can.

I'm kind of confused right now?
Someone made a comment about Stevie's pneumonia and brought up how Elizabeth Taylor had pneumonia before dying, alluding that Stevie's condition could be serious... I was just saying they can't really be compared because Elizabeth also had a plethora of health problems for many years and was quite a bit older than Stevie.. don't really know what her being an actress has to do with anything.

I caught this show and while it certainly was the shortest show of hers I've been to, it was obvious she was sick and I was impressed she muscled through and performed for a solid 90 minutes. During the brief edge walk (there was one on both sides and a little in the middle but it only happened AFTER stevie had already walked over to her right and then the fans kinda said screw it and rushed the stage) I caught a glimpse of the setlist. There was another song planned between Edge and Love Is but unfortunately I wasn't quite close enough to see what it was - did anyone?

The thing is Lynn, many of us have seen Stevie multiple times and we would like to hear the new songs performed. For you it will be your first experience seeing her live. Naturally anything she sings will be pleasing to your ears. We still love Stevie though we want to hear the real artist shine through.

I understand its just I guess that as this is my first time in going I am grateful that I have gotten a chance and Iwould hope that if I was blessed to be fortunate enough to be able to go so many times I wouldnt say some of the things that I read on this particular post and it did anger me because whether or not she sings old stuff or new stuff its still Stevie singing it...I felt like people arent realizing how lucky they are to be able to go see her as much as they do. :sorry:

It was def. a 1/2 ass edge walk, with the opening chords startted I tried to hit the stage & was immediately told to get back to my seat. At some point we broke through security & I made it to the stage. BUT right when the song ended they made everyone return to there seat! Its the end of the frickkin show, ya know!

So all in all the highlight of my night was not Stevie but Rick (RockALot). Spending time with you was awesome and I can't wait to see you again! You are such a sweet guy and a great old Stevie fan (not old in age but old as in fan). We rocked Indio! xoxo
Also, great meeting you Liam! I'm so glad you came up to me and introduced yourself. Too bad about those security a** holes. I also met another Ledgie after the show but I tottally forget who you told me you were but great meeting you too!

Hey "Sister Honey" I was just about to post about you, you are a hoot to party with!! I had a great time with you sharing stories and dreams of a new song that just might get played that night!! We did good to prepare ourselves for the same set list huh! It was nice seeing Lima too, he's a devoted fan as I've seen him at several shows. The other guy's we saw (name is on tip of my tongue!) were sitting right in front of me in the 2nd row.
Until next time!

Did anyone catch what Stevie said about her brother Chris before she sang Landslide? I didn't make out what she said besides the name Chris.
As far as set list and costumes go...I wasn't expecting anything else other than what we got. No complaints from me about the same songs...knew that going in. I respect that some people choose not to see Stevie in concert anymore for that reason. I don't complain. I happen to like her old stuff better...it would've been nice to hear a few MORE songs, but it is what it is.
I will continue to enjoy all the Stevie shows I can just to see her sing WHATEVER she chooses too. She is almost 63, right?
I'm sorry for those who were mistreated by security. I had never been to Fantasy Springs show, but I asked someone who had and he warned me beforehand so I didn't try to rush the stage or anything.

I was at this show - in 3rd row and only one standing in my row. There were some real fans behind me and in the rows in front.
After politely making my way to the front just before E17 started a security guard struck my shoulder and told me to go back - he would not let me or others near the stage.
Some other lady guard poked my stomach and told me to get back to my seat otherwise I would be throw out.
Needless to say, I will be writing to these "Indians" with my complaints.
Indio is not beautiful but not too bad either, you just have to stay at a major chain like Super 8 or others and know your surroundings. The area southeast of Indio is the pits. Sorry for any offense to area residents.
Looking forward to the Birthday show.:wavey:
