Wasn't there some nut job who hung himself outside her concert and wasn't there some woman who stole her identity and then killed herself. I know strange things have surrounded her.

I'm pretty sure it's fictional, but there's that song by Calexico, "Not Even Stevie Nicks," about a guy who committed suicide by driving off a cliff.

I believe several people were trampled to death in '77 when the doors to a Fleetwood Mac concert opened and people rushed inside (standing room only concert). The band has done assigned seating ever since. I believe it was Mick's book that talked about the incident... the band wasn't even told until after the concert was over.

That definitely happened with The Who. Haven't heard that story in regards to Fleetwood Mac, but it's possible. The Who story was recently featured on VH1 show about the 25 most scandalous or newsmaking events in rock and roll.

I've heard of the song but never knew what it was about. I know that some weird stuff has went down with some of her fans though and I'm pretty sure about people killing themselves outside of there concerts. I think one guy killed himself with the hope that Stevie would resurrect him.

There was a guy that hung himself outside of a '98 concert, I believe.

Yes, that's correct. I guess he didn't like the set list. Just kidding, I know that was really not nice but couldn't help myself :sorry:.

Sadly enough the one about the guy hanging himself is true. It was one of the Northern Calif. show's I went too, not sure what venue. We heard it on the radio on the way home from the concert. If I'm not mistaken, some dude got into a agrument with his girlfriend and hung himself on a light pole in the parking lot? :(

Stevie was connected to the death of Spock in "Star Trek 2: Wrath of the CHIFFON", She's been connected to all the deaths in the Holy Bible, Connected to the 'Black Plague' which killed many who confused her name for that Lindsey person in F.M., Connected to ALL the deaths of Kenny McCormick on South Park ("Oh My God! Stevie Killed Kenny...You Bastard!"), Connected to the death of "80's hard rock: (aka "Hair Metal" - She occasionally wears Bret Michaels hairpiece as a faux fur jacket), etc., etc., etc....

Yep, Stevie is connected to more deaths than War, Plague or Religion combined...If you know of an unexplained death, Naturally blame Stevie, Everyone else does

there was something about that death or another death where the guy claimed that Stevie Nicks would resurrect him from his grave

When I read in People magazine about her entering Betty Ford, that was the death of my innocence.

This happened. Carol Ann Harris talked about it in Storms and I don't see why she'd make it up. I thought at The Who concert a fire broke out?

It WAS the Who's concert in Cincinnati where the people got trampled when they opened the doors due to the concert being "festival seating". If I recall correctly, Mick's mentioning of that in his book was because Fleetwood Mac was playing Cincinnati not too long after that (like either the next night or a few nights later) and it somehow negatively affected the audience that was at the Fleetwood Mac show.

The fire incident, I think you're confusing Great White's concert in, I believe, it was somewhere in New England...either Boston or Rhode Island.

Yessir, you are correct.

Well, if Carol Ann said it happened, it must be true!

The Who incident is very well-known, and it was a trampling for sure. Caused many cities to ban general admission seating:

Hahaha I knew someone was going to say that! I think she embellished a lot, but that story is one I just don't see her making up. But come to think of it, I think she told a story about someone being stabbed in the audience and they died? I really can't remember tho.

I gave my copy of Carol Ann's book to Vivfox, otherwise I'd look for those references myself. None of these things are mentioned in Mick's book... I was flipping through it this morning.

Read at your own risk. Must be open minded and this thread is for those that don't mind some dark humor. With that said, Stevie can be very deadly.:shocked:

What's the so-called 'Stevie of Death' thing about anyway?

The 'Stevie Of Death' thread spawned from this picture, which started circulating right after 9/11... labeled as the 'Tourist Of Death'

http://www.touristofdeath.com/image002.jpg

Obviously that's supposed to be one of the planes about to plow into the World Trade Center right under the tourist's feet. The pic was later deemed to be a hoax. Here's my FAVORITE version of the pic

http://www.manbottle.com/pictures/nyny.jpg

So the idea for the thread was to make Stevie appear in great disasters throughout history. I think it's a hilarious idea. I hate some of the best pics are now gone from the thread, tho.

Too funny!! But actually 98 was the last decent set-list that she has played. She performed the rare songs from the box-set for the first and last time.

What a delightfully morbid topic

One that came to my mind were the Australian twins who carried out a suicide pact at a Colorado shooting range last year. Crystal Visions was one of the CDs found in their luggage.

I personally blame the Kenny Rogers best of that was in there - I know what I'd want to do after 21 Number Ones from Kenny.
